So you tried and were too late on every other card? But not on the amethyst?

Truth be told, I always start sniping on the first card you land on because the probability of you getting it is the highest. That's kind of my contribution to this thread in regards to tips, always buy the first card that comes up. You rarely get time to examine who's available so just attempt to buy the first card that comes up. Odds are, you might get it. I obviously didn't get it that time but saw an Amethyst card right below it. I quickly scrolled down to buy it and what do you know, I won it. It was to my surprise shortly afterwards that it was a Hakeem Olajuwon.

Hakeem Olajuwon is amazing by the way. His post hook in the paint is almost always a bucket. I've never seen anything like it.

yes, that is a good tip when filter set to 500-600. I dont have mine set like that much this year at the moment as I am still looking for specific players. but that filter will refresh cards the fastest. the more complex the filter the longer it takes to refresh. like a 500mt filter is probably the fastest to come up....its gonna beat a filter of say OConsistency w/2000mt filter by half a second to at least one second. this is the difference between snipes. your internet connection plays a part as well. still, 500 snipes are difficult or any amethyst. I missed a dynamic Harden at 1100 because I had to scroll through maybe 3 cards, I was fast but still not fast enough.

well, I never just do "500" I always add in variance like OConsistency to futher filter out all the worthless stuff. Its hard this year though because you have a lot of players with high OConsistency that just waters the filters down...like Lou Williams and Kobe....for a while James Anderson popped up in the filters....lol. Like I said....I dont even do 500-1000 filters anymore because if you set your OConsistency to like 95 you will waste a lot of time and miss on a lot better snipes. My goal is to get a snipe every attempt. They may be small snipes but Amethyst snipe pursuits are largely a waste right now.

I'm on PC and while I don't camp out for the server refresh intervals, I do end up searching on the mark fairly frequently and I think I have seen a 500MT BIN maybe once or twice, Bronze or Silver. Even searching with a 1100MT max MT only gives one a very small set of results and they're almost all crap Silver, one or two Bronze. And like Synistr says, if you try the Off Cons filter with low values, results will be too polluted with cheap Golds.

This year, I find that it's all about knowing card values, guessing right about pricing trends, and spending way more time than one should searching around. I've managed to make a ton of MT but it's ultimately kind of stupid to spend the time I've spent to make MT that I could buy for, say, $40.

Exactly. I made well over a million just with these crappy dynamic cards. Its a very nice touch that when you know and watch the nba consistenlty you can make a lot of MT.

I also made decent amount of MT on PC. Now, if only I can apply it on my stocks in real life, I'd be rich.

Perhaps the way I worded my post made it seem like I went for everybody else and then settled on Hakeem. That certainly wasn't the case. I tried the guy above Hakeem first and then I bought Hakeem. I've seen good snipes pass me by numerous times before finally hitting somebody of real value. I let a Paul George escape me two times. One regular and one Dynamic, both at 500 MT. I use the position filter too. I check for small forwards occasionally because that narrows it down to just that and sometimes I'll get someone good. Got a Wiggins for 500 that I turned around into 2500. Another tip: take advantage of the filters.

dynamics are easy to make money off of. I probably will sell my Drummond and Porzingas and make 100k off of 2 cards I paid less than 4k total for. although not as plentiful as before, I do try and snipe dynamics some times.

I don't have a pic but I scored purple Durant for 29,000 MT. He had a bunch of badges too. This was in the middle of the night so I got lucky and saw it first.

That's the dumbest thing ever, 2K puts a ton of effort into this game. Their MyTeam mode is definitely lacking but don't equate that to the whole game.
