But will he ever play defense? They killed his defensive stats by -20 defensive consistency. does he hit some 3s?

He's only shooting 27% from 3 and 38% from the field. If he keeps playing like this he'll be rated even lower. He'll probably get it together at some point though.

well....for those that are actually keeping up with stoneaged stats....his 3pt % has increased as when the season started, he was on a horrible run and his % was less than 10. so on that alone, he should receive a bump as he isnt shooting less than 10% from 3 anymore.


as far as his defense, they are overdoing it. the entire team is losing and playing bad defense with a few spot performances here and there. deserved a drop but not what they gave him. he would ideally be a 90 rated player if they boosted him when they were supposed to....but 2K took 2 weeks off. go figure.

well....for those that are actually keeping up with stoneaged stats....his 3pt % has increased as when the season started, he was on a horrible run and his % was less than 10. so on that alone, he should receive a bump as he isnt shooting less than 10% from 3 anymore.

speaking of Harden, I have a question...

when 2k updates, do they base it on current play or cumulative for the season? like guys like Harden, Morrow, Danny Green have been shooting very poor from deep. When they come out of their slumps do they get boosted after saying being lowered or do they just look at what they have shot at in all their games played and base the rating off of that?

When they come out of their slumps do they get boosted after saying being lowered or do they just look at what they have shot at in all their games played and base the rating off of that?

It seems cumulative with an emphasis on recent play. They didn't nerf Harden's 3-ball into oblivion when he shot so terribly in the beginning (3/32 in the first 3 games). Then they didn't boost him when he had a good week but finally lowered his stats when he regressed once again. When you look at his stats for the season 89 OVR is still very generous and if you've seen him play you might think he should be lowered even more. It seems that 2k takes the last 2-3 season into account as not to overreact on recent trends, with the more recent performances being weighted more heavily. But they're also pretty inconsistent, insofar as they don't update a lot of players that should be updated and with stars getting preferential treatment that bumps them to a certain OVR. A lot of historics are also very poorly rated and have too few or the wrong badges. I haven't seen them change badges during the season yet, at least for current players (they updated a few of the historics).

Don't see any diff% (esp. Defended field goal %) there, just absolute basic stats. found a better one on the official nba stats site (defense dashboard). Harden has a positive diff% and is especially terrible at defending 3 pointers (+7,2%) while last year he was -2,4% diff%.

So yeah downgrading is justified, dont know about the -20 points tho. It doesnt seem they make the effort to exactly convert the stat % into an amount of points which would be possible of course. Question also is if 2k measures stats from last update or from an overall (last season) perspective.

I had KP card ever since the game came out. I am just not getting his current card a few days ago. I knew Lavine was getting an update soon so I picked him up for pretty cheap a few days ago. now his 3pt ratings have gone up 5 points each and his o-consistency up 14 points!
