Re: Dynamic Cards that will increase in value as season progresses
Game 1: 18 Mins, 20pts on 7-12 and 3-6 shooting, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 4 blocks
Game 2: 19 Mins, 25pts on 10-14 and 4-6 shooting, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks
Don't have a strong read on him yet, but that 79 Standing 3 is a heck of an asset. And his shooting stroke, while not quick, is not slow, and is pretty fluid. Immediately was effective with him from outside.
Has pretty decent post ratings and can do work inside. Same thing in terms of defense and has good rebounding. He'll be lost if switched off on a perimeter player and I wouldn't use him at the 4 unless you intend to go old-school Big + Bigger.
61 Speed is not slow but nothing to brag about. 65 Acceleration puts him at the bottom of the top tier in that regard and, coupled with his shooting, may allow him to draw bigs out of the paint and then get past them for the inside score. I think it would have ramifications for spin moves into dunks?
Pretty impressive. Don't think he's good enough to use in a 3 Gold restricted scenario, not to mention only 82 Stamina. But not far off. I was using him with DR Draymond and it's pretty ridiculous to have a lineup that can all shoot 3's at a high level, from 1 through 5...and not really give up much in terms of interior D and rebounding.Comment

Just put up a review of sorts of Dynamic Boban Marjanovic in the thread about Silvers:

Re: Dynamic Cards that will increase in value as season progresses
According to stats in real life, many players would see honest DR overhauls. Lebron, for example, would see his three point and mid range ratings plummet if based on real life stats. Westbrook is also a dismal 3 shooter, and a player with a better PER last year. With the amount of analytics and counting stats available, it's unfortunate to see unfaithful rendering. An easy method to standardize 3-pt shooting is to double percentage and add ten, with some mitigating adjustmentsComment

Re: Dynamic Cards that will increase in value as season progresses
stats based ONLY in real life % is silly as it counts all shots no matter if contested or uncontested.
This is how players like Harden or Melo have mid-range and 3 pt shot below Aldridge for example. This is partially due to the fact they take much more contested shots, rather than Love or Aldridge that take wide open shots usually.Comment

Re: Dynamic Cards that will increase in value as season progresses
Curry stats are plain SILLY.
Not only about speed, which is really funny, but also in Defense.
I think the key issue behind this is that Curry doesn't really play in the game such as real Steph Curry. He scores from wide open shots, and can be a good driver etc, but you can have this with other PG as well. So they are trying to boost him any way possible.
I think 2k is missing one of the KEY attributes.
Contested shooting/shooting in traffic or whatever you may call it.
Steph's contested shooting ability is unmatched. But in 2k you will brick if someone smothers him.
Same with other players. This leads to terribe attributes like Harden having 77 mid-range, while Blake Griffin has 80.
To any sane basketball fan, there is NO WAY that Griffin is a better mid-range shooter than Harden. This is also depicted in their FT percentage which is a mid-range uncontested after all.
The difference is in contested shooting selection. Harden will take tonnes of contested mid-range shots while Griffin will only shot when wide open.
Same thing applies for all good shooters. This leads to lower mid-range % in the year than when you take wide-open shots, which translates in worse % in 2k original attributes.
To me, contested shooting attribute is fundamental to be introduced.
As it is now, Curry receives the same % penalty in his shoot as Aldridge when he takes a 3, when clearly in real life this is not the case.
Just to be clear, I am not asking for contested shots to go in. I say that an attribute that says that contesting a shot is different on Curry/Kobe than Aldridge/Griffin. If that leads for Curry to score more points and have people running around shooting with Curry contested 3s all game I am ok as long as they have a normal %. Of course I would be frustrated if somene takes Curry hits 8 contested 3s and scores 6/8.
But on the other hand if someone takes 8 contested shots with Curry and hits 0/8 or 1/8 as it is now, it is also really unfair.
PS. By the way can someone explain how Aldridge had an 82 3pt rating in the start of the game and his dynamic now is 50%? Was he a 3 pt expert in the start of the year and now he forgot how to shoot?Last edited by kabamaru; 03-03-2016, 09:26 AM.Comment
