What's the best stuff to spend MT Points and VC on?

I haven't played MyTeam much in the previous years. Do people buy packs with their VC? Which packs are worth buying?

Is it better to gamble on packs with your MT Points or to save them for players you want?

What do you "sell" outright and what's worth auctioning?

Some make their MT playing online. Other people buy VC and just sell everything they pull.

Depends on how much VC you plan on getting. I bought $100 of VC (400k) and put all into the cheapest packs. That netted me 330-340 total unique cards and a bunch of extras. I took the extra VC from the collection bonuses (40k) and got up to 400 for Ray Allen (thought he was higher than an 85). And firesale since.

As of Monday you could sell a bronze player instantly for 750-800 and coach/jersey cards for 300-400. I don't know if that's changed for the better or worse with the "main release". That will make you a ton of MT off your packs. Personally I don't see worth in the gold packs right now but that's just me. I also don't know if you need to go for Ray Allen, easy to get a good player faster. Even $50 of VC should get you near 200 cards.

You should also (and this will take awhile) check your cards for runes. I got 5 out of my 400. And got the ROY packs.

Benchmarks;
100 cards - 15k MT
250 cards - 25k MT
400 cards - Ray Allen 85 overall

I am a cheapskate, so I have been building my team with domination rewards and pack purchases. After beating the Mavs, I had enough cards for the 15k MT point bonus and picked up a cheap John Wall and Serge Ibaka from the AH.

I spend most of my points on packs, but do peruse the AH for cheap players to fill out my roster.

MT should only be used on the auction house. Never waste it on card packs.

I wouldn't go for 250 cards, firesale after 100 cards and you will have plenty of MT to spend. I have bought cheap packs for 50k VC to get to the 100 cards mark. The cards you win in Domination will lose value in the next weeks, so just sell them asap and buy the players you really want.

My point was if he was willing to put $70-100 in, go big into the small packs. I can understand quitting at 100, however if willing to invest the time and $ you can be set off the bat. It will take two hours to sell, examine each card for runes and sell but he'd have 250-350 unique cards and also dupes. Then firesale in same session. I wouldn't be able to guarentee anything but he'd come away with 200-300k MT, at least 3 runes and still have tons of contracts, shoes and coach/jersey/floors. I think bronzes will retain value this year with runes, they are just going to keep coming out with new black market packs.

As for not spending MT on packs I agree but there will be choices if you get the Black Market. I spent 42,320 MT on a box of ten ROY packs twice. It couldn't be worth it more. I stupidly sold a ROY Vince Carter duplicate for 75k which added to a Hassan Whiteside paid for 20 packs. I also pulled Grant Hill, two Kyrie ROYs, Dave Bing ROY and other ROYs plus Carmelo, Mike Conley, Wiggins and some other worthwhile sells. Someone also talked about the Diamond shoe giving PLUS NINE...PLUS NINE to speed for good on a card. Thats legit.

A real risk/reward snipe are the ROY cards right now. People selling them cheap because they haven't gotten the boosts that have been rumored.

Yeah I want Rose Brand too many to name honestly. At least you can get Mike Miller when he had a good back and Rose before he became Sam Bradford

I don't know if all ROYs got the card treatment. Brand did, pulled him. I hope some don't get too boosted. I'd rather Damon Stoudamire go from 76 to 79 so he'd be Silver eligible.
