I just played a Gauntlet game with MVP on my team this morn and he hit maybe 3-13. none of them were contested.
Thats the thing. I wouldnt mind if he missed crazy shots. Funny thing is that he tends to make that crazy last second shots while missing open threes in 5vs5 when I worked hard to get him open with a nice screen. Thats just terrible. A friend of mine has his diamond he killed me with him in a friendly. He says you just have to shoot moving with him. But man. If I can rather make an open three with say draymond then with curry - something aint right.

I had the Dynamic version probably within the first month of having the game until about a week ago. I just didnt like him but I kept him because his ratings kept going up and I hated to part with what was seemingly one of the best cards in the game for a while. For a long time it was the highest rated card at 97 overall. Since day one though....he NEVER played like IRL and thats the issue. Moving 3's didnt work well this year IMO. That is true though, I had more success shooting with him on the move than standing still.

One thing I didnt really like about releases this year was, the standing release and moving release timing was different. Moving you have to release the ball much quicker. This is for all players, not just Steph. To me, I just think they had his shot perfect in the beginning. He was a 97 rated card and I rarely used him, as opposed to his gold or emerald last year which I used heavily. Once I got Oscar and Stockton, he never made my lineup so he was just sitting there wasting away so I went ahead and got 230k for him.

It was like that last year, too. Moving shots are always a different release, and usually quicker.

Thats actually very accurate, isn't it? I just find it very unrealistic that you can knock down moving three pointers more steadily then standing catch and shoot threes.

Yeah its terrible. I played steph MVP at sg with oscar mvp on point. Deadly on both sides of the court but it really didnt make much sense to keep a great shooter that cant hit open shots... Especially if you have vince carter that knocks down transition threes like free throws lol

I personally love Curry and have had him as my starting SG for months, the way his release is so quick it makes him so, so deadly for coming off screens on floppy plays etc.

Add in his awesome dribbling and floater animations and he's always one of my two top scorers.

Yeah. Its a great card, on defense as well. Great distributer. His floater is so deadly, I think it never got blocked in all the time I played him.

That might be another reason why I sold him. I actually used currys release in my career before I got addicted to My Team. But after a certain point I simply couldn't master his shot anymore. Well. A few other players I know did though like you and that was... Well my inability sucked you know.

Gauntlet is an easy test to practice releases. Due to the low difficulty, if you miss a lot in Gauntlet then that pretty much tells you how hard it is to shoot with someone. Steph is really bad in Gauntlet for me. He shoots about 40-50%. You may think that is good but its not for wide open shots in Gauntlet. Rick Barry, Glen Rice, Mitch Richmond...they almost never miss wide open shots and they get so many greens. Then I got guys like Kevin Johnson, Mark Price, Babbitt, McDermott, etc...and they rarely miss wide open either. Some releases are bad, like Moments Barnes doesnt shoot well for me. Steph shoots about as well for me as Clyde or Sleepy Floyd do in Gauntlet, but his rating is about 17 points higher.

Yeah. I don't play gauntlet as I turned to my team to get away from the Park play. First I wasn't exactly great and I didn't feel like facing beheaded chicken all the time lol.

I habe to Try again I guess. At least the lag is so much better in Myteam.

yeah, well thats good online version to try releases. if not, just go to freestyle and try them out. regular CP3 is much more reliable than Steph...so I am sure ASG CP3 blows him out the water

He was my Starter before I pulled big o out of mvp packs. You had to be sure to shoot a floater in congestion but man He is a beast on defense and his shot is super Wet.

just lost a Gauntlet game solely because he missed about 10 open shots. he is the most frustrating card in the game. I dont know the last time I have won a Gauntlet game with him in the lineup. cmon. Gauntlet?? KD shoots circles around him. he shoots awful. he has 99/99 3-ball so that means his window for release is supposed to be WIDE. I take a shot....slightly late...ok, so next shot I do it quicker....slightly early. thats bull****. I can barely shoot 30% with him in Gauntlet, yet silver Deng and TBT Rashard Lewis hardly miss for me when wide open. a 99/99 rating means you should be getting some greens. I cant get any greens with him. glad I sold him but I shouldve gotten rid of him way sooner.

I played a dude who had MVP Steph in Gauntlet. All he did was get screens from Shaq and shoot 3's and his shot was butter! This dude had Steph's shot down to the tee. Ended up beating me by two and I can go 20 or so games without losing one.

But I can't stand his shot. Haven't liked it since 2k13 and on. Card has always been good driving, I will give him that. And with that cheesy little floater he does makes it really hard to beat.
                              UNCG's Finest....

                                J.R. Smith. /thread

For real, I don't even have 6man or diamond just straight up silver current. I have mine badged up with limitless range, deadeye, microwave, shot creator (all gold) and this card can literally hit a 3 from anywhere. I consistently hit trailing J.R that just passed half court and lead him into a three a couple feet from the half court logo and he's wet. Seriously has such a quick and simple release, hes single handedly won me multiple games in the 2nd/1st seed with his shooting.
                                Starting Lineup:
                                Diamond Rondo
                                Diamond Butler
                                Diamond Pierce
                                Diamond Kawhi
                                Diamond Hakeem
