Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
Having played with Amethyst Vince he was too expensive for his abilities. He scores both from shooting AND driving which not many people do, but looked like a liability on D. Especially with Curry as PG. Maybe with a different PG he would perform better.Comment

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
Every Kawhi card comes with much higher value than the price. It seems to me that there arent as many Kawhi fans as of some other players judging by the price of his cards. His DR card was about the most expensive card per value. All of his cards are tremendous, but Diamond may be the best value...and thats tough to say because DPOY is so good.
But that Diamond? whew. for whatever reason, it feels like he finishes non-contact better than mvp LBJ. and it seems as they finish thought contact about the same. but he is fast high flyer on offense who can not be left open from deep. On D, he's your guy to lockdown wings. So athletic. I dont know of a better 3-D card in the game. Draymond is a beast but on the break is where the separation is. Kawhi is good money on the wing in transition.
I picked him up for 99k when he was still going for around 140k and was gonna flip him and buy him back when price dropped but made the mistake of playing with him and just couldnt part with him.Last edited by synistr; 05-20-2016, 04:05 PM.Comment

I think some are turned off by his slowish shot release, which seems difficult to master. Incredible value though. Imagine if this card had more playmaking stats.Comment

Really want to get a new kawhi that DPOY is really good but the 60 OFC kills me guy just can't be trusted to hit when u need it but I was thinking about getting his diamond card soon if I get enough MT but do u think it's really worth it or is a simply upgrade to DNY enoughComment

I think the biggest deal that you get in the Diamond as opposed to Dynamic is that the Diamond has 79 (+15) Post Control and, more importantly, 95 (+9) Post Fade.
Difference between 86 and 95 Post Fade is huge. I feel like, with 86 rating, it's a coin flip and maybe not even that. With 95, I think it's more like a 60% shot or maybe more. It's a money shot. With a Post-Fade shoe and a non-big defender, it could be a totally OP shot, especially on sub-HoF difficulty.
In my recent Decades games, I went to Kawhi on three late possessions and ISO'd him against D-Wade for Post-Fades. Hit 2 out of 3, and that's on HoF difficulty (without Shoe, but with Gold Fade Ace and in 4th Quarter, so he may have gotten Closer buff). Tiny sample size, but from what I've seen when playing various players with various Post Fade ratings, getting PFA rating up to the mid-to-high-90s is a very significant difference, compared to mid-to-high-80s.Comment

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
Was wondering if anyone had used that 95 overall Maravich? Looks tempting and very cheap...
Also anyone tried the new Ray Allen? How about amethyst Dale Ellis?
I'm in the market for a new non-Diamond SGComment

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
Pete Maravich needs a sig iso dribble and 99 passing.
Dude invented flashy passing yet he throws passes out of bounds and has no handles
Also Jason Richardson has the weakest dunk package for someone who was the second coming of Vince Carter at the time.
Carmelo's defense is way to good. No way he should be making every player miss layups when around the rim. Same for J.Harden. Thats what you call favortismComment

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
I use Diamond Kawhi as stretch PF where I was playing with KD.
He is a massive upgrade, defensively, plus offensively since I play him at 4 he can do more or less the same thing. He can not create easy his own shot as KD and also his release is slower
BUT
His wide open shot is money, his speed makes him pass through other slower PF and he uses his strength to finish near the rim.
I bought him 105k with 20 gold badges.
His height is small, but also Green is small.
As I am also a DR Green user, I can say I can not utilize him at all in offense, due to animations and lack of explosiveness.
Since animations are the same with every card I can not see why this would change.
Of course these are for 4-1 offenses. Other type of offenses can utilize Green better of course
Of course you can play Kawhi in his natural position also , but hen you have to have also another player with playmaking skills in your perimeter besides your PG.
Meaning your SG has to be able to create for othersComment

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
You can not really go wrong picking up J.R.
Quick easy release, really great spot up shooter. Utilizing plays getting him open for a quick pass and instant shot is just deadly.
Besides, he got what it takes going to the rim - I would definitely add +9 speed for some extra explosiveness.
Mentionable downside is a 69 FT Rating, hence he gets fouled easily going to the rim.
All in all great deal - awesome card for 200k+Baron Peja Melo Issel Mutombo

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread
Is there someone in here who is playing with the historic 98 OVR Oscar Robertson? He is getting ridiculous cheap for those stats. Looks very similar to Magic. I'm thinking of replacing him, because I'm afraid 2K might re-release DPOY/AllStar Packs (which they always do getting closer to the end of the season) - would definetly lead to a pretty huge price drop for the rare AllStars Diamonds.Baron Peja Melo Issel Mutombo

I'm curious about Oscar as well. He's the total package and can do anything on the floor except posterize people.
