Anything that speeds up the game is good, even if the other team scores a lot (as long as we score more ofc). Winning 80-75 is a guaranteed 1k MT or even more, winning 45-40 is not enough to get 3 stars every game (at the end of historic domination you need almost 900 MT).

So I lost one to my Magic but quickly bounced back with a 10 point win. I'm really finding that Marv Williams is the best PF in my rotation by a long way (I Have Dirk and Serge Ibaka also). Don't ask me why but he seems to be my MVP on this team, between him and Gortat when on the floor I do damage both on the offense and defensive ends.
Got past the Bucks with relatively ease but found Carter-Williams tough to guard.
Next up the Rockets!Comment

FINALLY beat the Nuggets!! Can't believe how much trouble they gave me. I had to check Jokic out as he literally never missed despite being matched up against defensive centres in Gobert and Noel.
Onto the Nets...Comment

Re: Domination - Roadblocks (Teams to look out for and how to beat them))
It's embarrassing to admit, but I had a hell of a time beating the Trailblazers and beating them with enough MT. Took me 5 or 6 tries. And it wasn't due to quality of lineup as I was using an 80+ OVR team (and also tried with a Silver/Gold team to get back to basics, but also lost with that).
Aside from problems common to any Domination game, I think there are two specific sort of challenges that the Blazers present:
1. Lillard and McCollum Shooting Off Screens: They set picks relentlessly for these two guys and these two guys mercilessly throw up threes if they get just a bit of daylight. You can set P'n'R defense on them to Go Over, and your guy will go over, but even if he's a high-level defender (I was using Klay, Butler, Majerle, Avery, and Iguodala at various times), he won't be able to contest the shot. To contest, you need to hedge with your big. And even if you know it's coming, if your big is slow, you literally may not be able to get up to contest in time.
So my suggestion, when playing the Blazers, is to use more mobile, agile Centers, as well as your best perimeter defenders. Boogie was constantly either not getting up to contest in time and/or giving up the roll to Plumlee or Leonard.
2. Lillard Driving to the Basket: He doesn't put his head down and drive like a Westbrook. He jukes and jives like a D-Rose. And it's really tough to deal with one-on-one, on-ball. I find it impossible to consistently defend him when he ISOs. But if I leave it to the CPU to defend, CPU Lillard will break CPU Defender down more often than not.
So I'll off-ball and get ready to bring help with my Center. But if Lillard pulls you out of position to help on him, he's very good at dishing to his now-open teammate. And Plumlee and Leonard will make their open shots. And if you contest well enough and Lillard misses his shot, then you will probably not be in position to box out Plumlee and Leonard to prevent the offensive board.
I think one still needs to bring a big to help, and you can't really sag off of the Blazers' 3 or 4. So you need to use your Center. But I think the key is probably to not jump to contest/block. Make sure you are able to recover to rebound well.Comment

Re: Domination - Roadblocks (Teams to look out for and how to beat them))
I'm not there yet, I just played the Knicks (and got 1400+, my personal best). On defense I just try to force them into a quick shot (leaving the ball-handler some space, but getting closer when I see he's about to shoot) or to force a TO with a double-team... or anything else that will give me the ball quickly, if they end up scoring sometimes it's ok. On offense I try to score a lot on fastbreaks, while on standard possessions a classic PnR to start will give me an easy dunk/layup or a kick-out for an open 3. If the defense keeps its position after the Pnr, I usually take a fadeaway from the post with Nowitzki. I usually end the games with at least 70% on FG and 50% on 3s, so by just playing quickly you will get a lot of MT and win the game because there's no way the CPU can keep up with those FG%.Comment

I'm so FREAKING pissed right now, played the 89 pistons 3 times already, first time i lost because it was 2K godmode and1s all over the place, ball teleporting into cpu's hands as usual, players morphing through you, but hell if you run into them you'll lose that rock in a heart beat. Second game they fouled me every time and I couldnt get enough points. Then I beat them, score enough points and the game doesnt count it. Every year the same bs, this game isn't a finished product, far from it.Comment

Got blitzed by the Rockets think the margin was 24.. then knocked them off their perch the very next game.
Watch out for Harden guys, when he starts to hit the guy doesn't miss.
Had a quick game last night against the Thunder and lost by 11. Westbrook draining 3's from everywhere and Payne also...
Time to rejig the lineup and get through this Thunder team.Comment

Re: Domination - Roadblocks (Teams to look out for and how to beat them))
I´m almost through historic domination, but the historic NBA all stars are so tough.
They basically hit any shot if they have just a tiny bit of room and even many shots when the defense is directly on them. And they defend well. And my players miss well-timed, open shots.
I just beat them with a 96% free throw bonus and a 50+%-3P-Bonus. Still didn´t have enough MT to gain any stars. (783MT)
Any tips on how to beat them and gaining enough MT? Which defensive settings are most succesful against them? Anything else?Making the jump to PES2020.Comment

My bench had q rich and korver to get my 3s.
The steals are important and having some good defensive guys can keep them from killing you. A steal is 8mt plus u get the defensive stop bonus if you stop them enough times. Hope this helps.Comment

If you can, it's good to post that MT summary screen, the Team Comparison screen, and even Box Scores, so people know where you're scoring MT, and where you can improve...Comment

Re: Domination - Roadblocks (Teams to look out for and how to beat them))
Not that they're necessarily hard, but I lost to the Pistons on my first attempt. Would've had enough MT and didn't have a bad gameplan/lineup...just made too many mistakes, with one or two crucial boneheaded plays down the stretch.
But despite that, I switched things up in my 2nd game. Decided to play a Warriors-heavy small-ball lineup whereas I had not really been using Curry/Klay/Dray before. Curry, Klay, Iguodala, Horry, and Dray to start.
For what it's worth, this lineup did well for me, running and gunning. Not a big problem to put Dray up against Drummond because Drummond is not skilled in the post.
But that said, for my bench platoon, I used Wall, Steve Smith/Dan Majerle, Sprewell, PG13, and Cousins. Mostly dumping the ball into Cousins to do work inside. Maybe it was because they played a lot of minutes against the Piston's bench, they did well.
The biggest thing probably was that I kept myself to 5 turnovers, which isn't GREAT, but still less than what I sloppily tend to surrender each game. (7-10)Comment

Re: Domination - Roadblocks (Teams to look out for and how to beat them))
Is it me or does this mode seem to be getting harder every year? every year i am having a harder time getting through this mode. why do they stack the decks against you so much? it seems like everytime i have the upper hand they call a foul on me and in the same situation for the cpu they let them score?
I tell you what the worst roadblock is in this game mode. its the crappy sliders that they give us. so many open shots missed and the cpu hits everything contested or not. it seems like every year the same ol legacy problems rear their ugly little heads in this game mode. dont get me started on the warping defense the computer uses and the lack of awareness that you players have. which seems to be a issue every year.Comment

Just beat the East Conference all stars who were WAY easier to beat than the Warriors were.. Only have two teams left to beat for the current domination teams.PSN: duFFleBaG_rAn_
