Just reached 1700 n collected Bernard King. Damn it was a grind going from Hill to King. Think I'm done collecting for the year. Gonna sell all the expensive stuff and sit on the mt for better cards to come out.

I'm not grinding too hard, but with these moments cards dropping as fast as they are I'm basically just grabbing the cheap ones. I don't have the will power to do the jersey/shoe grind, I just let those ones come to me. It's too bad you can't search from your binder for them like you can players!

How are Hill and King at the 4?!?! I would assume pretty good, I love having frontcourt guys that can pass the ball!

The reason I wanted to get the grind out of the way was because as the game mode progresses the value of the rare jerseys logos and shoes will probably drop. So I wanted to buy and sell now and still profit from it. Even now when I'm trying to sell it's a grind haha. But easier than buying and searching.

Not sure how many cards you already have but you should try to just flip thru the shoes here n there on refreshes. Shoes were the easiest to collect for me and I started off with them. Especially the bronze and silver shoes, you should get all of them for 250-300. Gold ones almost 95% of them under 500.

Didn't try out Bernard King yet. Was do tired yesterday after completing I needed a break from the mode. Although it may be cheesy but I wanna run the point with king in spurts. He looks beast. Grant hill tho man is insane. He is just too damn quick and either dunks the ball or gets called for foul almost every time. I give him +6 speed with ball / speed shoe which costs 250mt and that gives him 99 speed and SWB. That's just nasty. Also his moving shot mid is very nice. Pretty consistent. Shoots better than his 80 3 rating as well, must be the offensive consistency.

That's what I set my shoes BIN at when(which is often)I get duplicates. It is too much of a headache for me to go through and check the prices. I have found that with these TBT boxes I end up making more money(unless I get lucky and get a ruby or a good sapphire early) with badges than I do the players.


I'd honestly rather open the normal boxes(a good moments card isn't guaranteed though)but it is worse with them. My badge luck isn't nearly as good and the players I get tend to get go for really really low.

That's surprisingly cheap for the Gold. I'm on PC, though.

Generally surprised that Shoes go for so cheap, compared to previous years. Maybe there's much freer supply now, but it doesn't seem to be the case. And the Gold shoes now are so much better than before, affecting at least 2 Ratings, and usually 3.

Is it no longer possible to force a pair of shoes onto a player if one draws a dupe in packs and already has inventory full at 10?

I've used Mashburn in the gauntlet and while he's not a bad player by any means I'd rather keep the 40,000 MT on hand for better players.

I unlocked the MT bonus right before you get Mashburn and I'm stopping there for the time being.

I wonder how many different shoes there are. I have 201 and I don't think I ever really focused on hunting for them.

There are 275 unique shoes. And after this weekend I now own 267 of them.

I hit the 1200 mark at the end of the weekend. Now it's a lot more difficult and I don't plan on spending the bulk of my MT rushing to 1600.

I think I'll wait for a big content drop to pick up all my missing non-player cards.

Actually one of the best part of going for the collection rewards is you can quickly figure out what rare high priced items are hiding in all the collections. Great for sniping later on.

So here's my full update as I'm exiting the collection grind game. I started with 500 cards and 500k MT last Friday and in 10 days am now at 1601 cards. I've gotten Grant Hill but will go no further. And even better I did it without locking in a single collection so I'm about to sell it all back and wait for better content to come out and you know... actually play the game instead of just looking at cards on the auction house.

Probably the first 500 cards were bought at the minimum or within 50MT of minimum. Then I raised my limits a little bit and continued the cycle. It wasn't until I got above ~1450 cards that I really had to start spending over 1500 to get cards. I ended up spending a little bit of real money as I ran out of MT at ~1520 cards but was a free player before that. Maybe I could have gotten there without spending if I was super patient but I was ready to move on. As best I can tell, I'm only missing 16 non-player items and 8 shoes. I have most of the current player collection too except for a few pesky high-priced bronze cards.

I used a version of this spreadsheet which I put together using this imgur gallery. Feel free to copy and use the spreadsheet yourself. @justlaze this has every shoe from the gallery plus 3-4 I found that weren't on there.

Good luck on the collection grind to everyone else and wish me luck selling everything back.
