this game is such a joke when both teams are running defensive lineups lol it's like watching a 3 stooges episode

I've been part of farcical games like you're describing. Even worse is when both guys get frustrated and play at high pace.

Sometimes I get into dumb exchanges of like three passions apiece, back to back to back, with turnovers occurring in first 15 seconds of the shot clock.

I am absolutely LIVID right now, I just had connection errors in THREE games in a row in the Diamond league after starting 4 and 0. 2K needs to get their ****ing **** together and actually put some effort into infrastructure as the performance of their servers and the quantity of bugs in their game is RIDICULOUS given how much money they rake in.

Company has become shady as hell over the past few years, pathetic.

Edit: now to add insult to injury the game won't let me join online modes due to "bad sportsmanship" even though it was THEIR SERVERS that kicked me!

^Ya happened to me last night too, although I was thinking it was just from the snowstorm in my area which judging by some of the conspiracy theories on here 2k may or may not have been responsible for!

Here´s my 89-rated lineup:

Starters: Hardaway - Majerle - Durant - Nowitzki - O´Neil
Bench: Lillard - McCollum - Finley- Simmons- Towns

Since I switched to this lineup, my opponents´ lineups were still a lot better than mine (several diamonds & amys), but I´ve beaten them easily.

Maybe their lineups are better and their records are worse.

Way way off. 75ish win percentage in the diamond league with no diamond players and minimal grinding and the button has been better. Except for picking layup hands/floaters/ post moves etc

Yeah I feel it may be necessary to mention that I switched back to square a few days after this thread and have been using it ever since. I think I jumped the gun on my stick shooting proclamation, a combination of me getting better at MTO and having one of those classic 2k win streak mirages where everything goes in. The shot stick is just way too inconsistent.

I agree. I have been trying so hard to use the stick but it just doesn't deliver consistently. Gotta take one more variable off the table and get a better chance to win. The stick has cost me more games than I have won.

Played a game after a long while today ith my scrub squad and I get matched up with this dude running Kyle Korver at the point. The iq of the average 2k player is truly laughable

I think I am done with this mode for the rest of the year until/unless they release another patch or three solely focused on gameplay... it's just tiring and unenjoyable, so many people turbo and spam manual cuts all game, wins aren't fun when there's no strategy involved (I have around a 78% win rate I think?), etc. I can't remember the last time I saw an opponent run a play.

Going to play the weekly and Moments challenges but just stick to Play Now Online for a couple of months I think; the games I've had in that mode tend to feel a lot more real. If nothing changes in the near future I'll sell off my collection and go play something else.

Bear in mind this is from someone who played near constantly start-to-finish in 2K15 and 2K16 MyTeams; it's just not fun this year (in my opinion) due to a boatload of defensive issues. :o

agree. every games feels the same, no one ever uses plays just some freelance and cuts... on the other hand it's really easy to cheese these people back. Won against a guy in diamond league by 30 points earlier today. I just off-ball defended every roller or fader and destroyed his whole strategy. it was hilarious how he cycled through 2-4 guys after each failed attempt in the end the shot clock just rang. I mean it was so stupid, but obviously this guy couldn't do anything than PnRs and try to turbo the rest of the game that's the sad example of how people play in MTO.

i was having good games at first but the cheesing is unreal on mto... doesn't really matter whart team i use. i prefer myteam blacktop and domination. i wish you could do more things with your myteam to get points then just play mto after domination is done.

im stuck on the last team and i don't even want to beat them because then ill be stuck with just mto and blacktop. shame. wish there were more single player modes. because those are fun.

Yeah, there should be more "offline" content.

I don't know why they don't at least leave up the Moments Challenges and just remove the MT bounty.
