Pray for good board/deck luck. I would trade my ruby Chandler, Artest, and Mcadoo just for Ruby Eddie Jones but I'll never be able to get him because he never showed up for me. I think I still can get Amythest Michael Finley but that's probably the only one in mine that I'd want to try. Some ppl have ridiculously good levels with USA KD, Kyrie, Deandre...I got USA Lowry and Cousins.Diamond MAGIC

Also, I have neither Wallace nor Mikan but having played against them both extensively they are both great cards. It all depends on your roster make up and play style. Mikan is much better if you need to improve your offense and like to play either through the post or a spread 4-1 or 5-out offense. 5-out is cheesy but Mikan is a great center for it. Ben is a pain in the *** to keep off the offensive glass but his offense is just standing dunks (actually overpowered but your spacing suffers). IMO none of the diamond rewards are spectacular so picking isn't anything more than who will help you most now. Mikan would be replaced by Pd Duncan, Wallace by Ruby Mutombo, etc.Last edited by Biaxident; 11-07-2016, 11:07 AM.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
Wallace is my best defender and if he catches it in the paint it's usually a poster if it's 1on1. I think guys who are disappointed with him is because they pnr with him expecting him to score but people probably know how to defend that. Don't force the ball to him of offense, I still manage 10+ points with him cause he's always in good positions to score. Defense he really can guard every position.
Mikan pre-paatch was inconsistent on defense. Still pissed gold Dwight Howard took a few offensive boards off Mikan. His shooting range is nice and the animation is also easy to time. He does have a lot of cold spots outside the paint so forcing jumpers with him is not the way to use him.
I would go with Mikan. His offense around the court is good and if the ai logic is fixed his defensive stats should make some more impact. Plus you can get rewards Rodman and he would pair up nicely with Mikan.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
This is what I'm trying to use, right now, as my 13-man lineup. In general, trying to emphasize defense and interchangeability for switching on P&R defense.
But I'm really not sure about specific 5-man lineups using this selection of players.- PG: Love the defense and speed of MRR, but cannot shoot with him, especially off the dribble. Kind of feel like Penny's length compensates for his lackluster D ratings. And could also lock in Dallas collection for Harper, or use Doc Rivers, and actually enjoy forsaking D and running Harden at PG.
- SG: Had been using Marion at SG a lot, but have come to find Rip a really high-level shooter, for me. Elite perimeter D, of course, though lacks Strength to deal with larger players. Can switch in Richmond and trade away Lat Quickness and D IQ for Strength. Or run a big lineup outside, with Marion at SG, move Walker to SF, and play J-Smoove at PF.
- SF: Marion makes most sense at SF. Could lock in Magic collection for Sapphire Grant Hill and could also lock in both Hawks collections for Lou Hudson. Have only played a few games vs. CPU with Jamal Mashburn and like him...not really sure how he slots in, and whether that's at SF or PF.
- PF: Walker vs. Smith has been my dilemma for a while. Smith's defense is nice, but it's a real bummer whenever he gets fouled and one confronts how hopeless he is at the line. In any case, between Walker, Smoove, Rodman, and Wallace, there is an option for pretty much any situation. Probably should lock in both Hornets collections for LJ, but have been putting that off.
- C: Had mostly played Edwards and Boogie at 5 and miss that post-up game when Wallace plays 5. Tempted to play Wallace at 4 and run Edwards at 5, but Edwards is not a good defender. KAT is not a good defender either, but his lateral quickness, general athleticism, and outside shooting could work nicely in a frontcourt tandem with Big Ben. Also kind of want to just lock in the Bucks and/or Clippers collections for Lanier and/or Walton.
Kind of like the idea of figuring out a lineup (and offensive strategy) with which I can run Wallace at 4, and have a high-end defender at 5 (who can shoot enough). And then, defensively, have that 5 defend opposing 5, and then assign Wallace to the opponent's best perimeter threat, particularly slashers. Even if it's the PG. Then slide my PG/SG/SF around accordingly.
A bit of a waste to give up Wallace's interior defense and rebounding by having him roam the perimeter, but I've found it really entertaining to have Wallace jam up the opponent's offense on the outside.
Other players I have:
- Handles Crawford + High Flyers J.R.: not such savants on offense that they're worth the collective defensive liability on defense.
- Curry + Klay: Trying to stay away from heavy emphasis on outside shooting, even though it makes a lot of sense.
- Horry: Probably belongs at bottom of the bench as an emergency scorer. Easiest to manufacture some good looks for such a quick-releasing Stretch 4.
- LeBron: It feels odd to not have a LeBron in a lineup.
And I have all Collections completed, but haven't locked in anything aside from the Warriors, so in addition to players mentioned above, I could also get Battier and Peja or whatever other worthwhile Current Collection Rewards.Attached FilesLast edited by harryl; 11-07-2016, 04:21 PM.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
The reason people get killed by drop step is cause everyone playing off ball D, my Tyson have no problems against that basic post game, but I never got killed by Ben Wallace but that don't make him a bad player just not someone I think all that.
In other news I went 10-0 in pink diamond LG so now I have Shawn Marion to replace my ruby Ron Harper on bench.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
All you have to do is use drop steps and post spins on offense to go with the obvious pick and rolls and he'll be a big threat on that end of the floor. He is routinely my leading scorer on offense in MTO from those types of buckets and from beating the other center down the court with his speed for an easy standing dunk.Comment

Love that you have a legit philosophy. I do as well. I feel you have to in order to really keep other guys on their toes. as much as 2K swear that there is no momentum, we know better. So my team is based on all types of situations that can happen in-game. they are taking their sweet time releasing really amazing players though. starting to kinda piss me off lol. I want a shot at a decent C. Diamond Shaq players arent even available to us in the market so we cant overspend to get him smh.Comment
