And btw this Klay Thompson card might be the best card I've ever played with in MyTeam, outside of last years Steph Curry. I'm shooting like 70+ percent from three with this guy. The hell? Him being an elite defender is just icing on the cake too. The only way I'm taking him out of my starting lineup, is if he gets an Amethyst version.

Everything old is new again

I expected that I would change my lineup when the All Star set came out, but the entire set is trash. What ended up changing my lineup was the boosted Diamonds. I sold my Diamond Harden, my Ammy Lebron and my Ammy Kobe, then put Hill and King back in, finished the set for Bing, and bought an Ammy Kobe that has that Anta shoe that gives +9 Open 3, Open Mid and Def consistency. This morning, I bought another Diamond Mutombo because I'm working on the Lockdown set now.

I have to say, after owning that Diamond Harden for a week, I was not at all impressed. His shot atts are great, but his release is awkward. I always felt the need to force things with him, and his defense is garbage. I definitely prefer Kiki, Kobe and Butler.

If you like that Klay, wait till you try Ruby Majerle. It's an even better version of that Klay.

Majerle didn't come close to Klay for me. I was using the emerald Klay over Majele.

Majerle is better than Klay in ratings...mainly the strength, to me.

But it's apples and oranges. And a huge attraction of Klay is his release.

Majerle didn't come close to Klay for me. I was using the emerald Klay over Majele.

That's insane. I use both of them. I have an Emerald Klay with that Anta shoe and a Sapphire Curry with the Underarmour speed shoe and a Diamond contract shoe, so I use their duo in my bottom 3 and in my challenge squad. I use the Ruby Majerle in my challenge squad and when I need to go defense on my main squad. I use them both the same way - I bring them off the bench to lock down their opponent, drill 3s off of Quick 2 Swing, and to call Quick 42 Flare (because you need a guy with 3pt plays). Majerle is just an animal, and his strength, athleticism and dunking make him a lot more valuable to me than Klay.

Side note - If you're not running Quick 42 Flare, you're doing it wrong. Use a 2 that has 3pt plays (and can hit them), a 3 that has post moves and a 4 that can shoot 3s. 1 has the ball at the top of the arc, the 4 sets a screen for the 3 and then steps behind the arc and is wide open 70% of the time because his man gets stuck behind the 3 and his defender. If the 4's defender stays with him, then pass to the 3 in the low post iso. From there, either take the shot, or wait for the 1 to come off the screen for a wide open 3 up top. If that's not open, then the 4 crosses back through the paint through a screen for a wide open middie by the baseline, and the 2 comes off a screen to be wide open in the near corner. So many ways to score and get everyone involved.

I run that with my challenge squad, with Antoine Walker at the 4, Paul Pierce at the 3, Klay or Majerle at the 2, and Curry at the 1. It's deadly with Chambers, Kobe/Melo, Kiki and Bing.

Majerle is better than Klay in ratings...mainly the strength, to me.

But it's apples and oranges. And a huge attraction of Klay is his release.

It took forever for me to get Klay's release down. You have to let go before he hits the peak of his jump. Majerle's is a lot easier to time. When he hits the peak, let go and then turn around to get back on defense because that's automatic.

Klay does that for me but you can use a directional pass (hold towards midcourt on the left stick when doing an icon pass) to lead him towards the 3 point line. Usually it gives him even more space and he's even more open. Still catches it with his feet set. About 80% of the time he ends up behind the 3 point line.

The Nets and Bucks PBs are very similar. The Bucks has all the gems from the nets a couple more really good ones.

Still not sure if I like Draymond or not. On the defensive end he is very good, but sometimes you will notice his lack of height. And on the offensive side....

i don't need diamonds to win.. and i have some very good badged ruby's and amy's... magic johnson is my love.. i just picked up ruby karl malone at super bargain.. and chris webber. man! i love myteam.. people complain but it's nice to make teams with all of your favorite players and this year it has been easier to get mt than ever before. im not complaining.

this is the current lineup.
I know that I should be dominating big time with that lineup but playing MTO is still a very time consuming learning process for me. I'm on my 4th try to advance from ruby with a 45-28 record.
I play princeton chin most of the time to have some space in the paint, along with the 96'Sonics playbook but haven't found my flow yet...
I usually look good against sim players but I still struggle very badly against 5-out, offball-D players and good Yao users. Especially Yao kind of glitches away when I play onball defense and gets easy, uncontested buckets.

Finally got the Ruby Draymond Green. My winstreak also sadly came to an end last night at 27. It was a down to the wire OT game but I couldn't stop my opponent's Diamond D. Rose.



I also realized that I might need to do some tweaking to my starting lineup. I really need a secondary ball handler that's fast and can attack the paint. Right now the only real ball handler in my starting lineup is Curry. He can get to the rim but he's not really that great of a finisher. Look at my bench and I have the speedy Westbrook that can penetrate easily and finish at the rim like a monster because of his dunking ability. My starting lineup is mostly based on shooting and when that gets locked down it's tough to score with them.

This is sort of why my bench really bails me out in a lot of games. I can attack the paint with Westbrook and it really opens up the floor for Q-Rich, PG13, and Durant to shoot.

While I really like Marion, I'm starting to consider replacing him with a Ruby or Amethyst LeBron. I can have LeBron be the main ballhandler sometimes and make Curry play off-ball as a spot up shooter once in a while.
