Nobody seems to be talking about Pettit. Guess new packable Diamonds have gotten so good that he's no big deal...or even doesn't make lineups?

Re: Weekly Challanges...
He was in my lineup for a week until I got KG. He's definitely been overtaken by the quantity and quality of great bigs, and his badging is only decent. I will say his shooting is excellent and he'd make a great stretch 4 for guys who like to play a little smaller. He's got the same shooting animation as Durant, which I really like. He's just not big enough, athletic enough or good enough defensively for me to play at this point. I will use him for challenges sometimes.End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

Re: Weekly Challanges...
He's just not very good he has bad fade animations, he's got a low driving layup/dunk on top of some bad dunk animations that'll piss you the hell off, and he always seems to commit these stupid offball fouls. He's good but not great def doesn't play like a pd imo.Comment

Re: Weekly Challanges...
Bob Pettit is a perfect example of a highly rated card that's been ruined by bad animations and 2K's policy of not testing their cards before they are officially released.
His high-90s post ratings don't matter because 2K gave him an incredibly slow/awkward fadeaway animation and one of the hook shot forms that has a broken timing window.
He's OK if you only use him in a catch & shoot/pick & pop role, because his jump shot is pretty easy to time, but there are so many taller/faster power forwards who can fill that same role, which gives users little reason to pick a sluggish tweener who's too slow to guard faster PFs and too short to guard taller matchups.Last edited by jyoung; 05-20-2017, 04:43 PM.Comment

Re: Weekly Challanges...Moments
Don't be afraid to play your best guys. This isn't necessarily a budget squad challenge. There's also no shame in off-balling against the CPU, so use one of your bigs to keep an eye on the paintEnd Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup

Re: Weekly Challanges...Moments
OK Thanks! I've played them like 5 times and lost each time. It seems they rarely miss a shot.Comment

Here's another thing that I noticed that has been a very considerable problem with Pettit: while I'm not sure if his 50/50 Foul/Hard Foul tendencies are extraordinarily high, he sure seems to foul at an extraordinarily high rate. If someone drives into him for a contact finish, it seems that one should expect a shooting foul. At least when he's CPU controlled.
Too bad.Comment

Re: Weekly Challanges...
Pop-up in menu says there's a Kyrie challenge. But I don't see it. Anyone else?
