You also couldn't field a creative team because shooting was dominant over defense for most of the early period of 2k17. Steph and Klay were dominant and most would sacrifice most other attributes to keep that dominant shooting.

The 2nd third of this game was a lot better. You had some dominant collection rewards, but reward cards like steve francis and wallace were running rampant. I felt like offense was overpowering defense until the release of the lockdown set. Then it shifted the other way.

Right now, offense and defense is at a nice balance and most of my games against top teams of top players still resemble basketball with scores below 60ish. It's slowly becoming more offensive focused and that won't change until we see some more superior USA rewards. Personally, I'm excited about a player like KP because he adds more versatility and creativity to the game.

Also, I think the game is pacing towards the end of the cycle at the right pace that we will see the super do it all players right at the end. I'm talking about Jordans with 14 HoF badges, etc. The one mistake that 2K made was that it looks like they wanted a tamer end card when looking at Reward Barkley. But once they realized their release strategy was accelerating too fast that even Barkley wouldn't be the best card in the end, they had to ramp up their top cards. I expect Barkley to get tweaked in the end to include more HoF badges.

    Couldn't disagree more.

Every game I play now is against Steve Francis at PG, Yao at C and most likely Ruby Webber at PF.

Everyone runs 5 out and everyone just runs the ball up court. Everyone spams steal.

I had a lot of fun with MT until Yao became so widespread. I even enjoyed the challenge of stopping him, but now its just boring.

There is no variety. Everyone plays the same, with the same cards.

Also I keep getting matched with people in Amethyst league, Diamond and even Gold when I am in Emerald/Ruby. There is no reward for playing teams with stronger line ups or in higher leagues.

Every game is a shoot out which comes down to the final possession.
Blood in my mouth beats blood on the ground.

Question, how did you get back to the second prestige after getting PD Duncan? Can you un-prestige by losing after you have prestiged?

I get running plays I do it maybe 30-40% of the time but some of the plays are cheesy as hell and some of them are broken or take forever to get going.

I dont think running plays makes it sim or not. If a coach had the team I have in my team they wouldnt run a single play all the guys are stars.

I havent played online outside of one game but I dont care this year Id match cheese with cheese. I never go into myteam expecting a nice drag out sim game its just not what the mode is for.

new packs have T-Mac with 97 3 ball and KD with 90 speed

As I said in this thread before it is not the community that makes the game a cheesefest, but it is 2k

It would be better if they had each prestige you go to all your cards ratings dropped by a certain percentage. Diamonds would drop 10%, Amethyst 7%, Ruby 5% and anything below that was unchanged. That would make your 98 open shots 3 an 89 on a diamond and 2nd prestige 81, and 3rd 73 . If you can't compete with lowered ratings then what is the point of beating the game. It would really expose slow poor defense players too who are offensive nightmares forcing you to choose if the tradeoff is worth it.

Also you would see huge variety of lineups and gold, emerald, and sapphire cards would still be relevant. Anyway I just thought this would be a great way to make it competitive again for all of us to enjoy.
