It disappointingly dawned on me that I, personally, don't even really care, despite being a big GSW fan IRL. And despite last year's Diamond Curry being my favorite player in last year's game.

Without his really quick release, he's much less special. And there has been addition of really good deep range shooters who are essentially on par with him, but better in other respects.

I'm thinking specifically: why would I play this DI Curry over DI Pete Maravich?

And is Curry worth playing in order to have a guy who can shoot from super-deep when there's over a half-dozen guys who can bomb from way outside? Here's the guys in the game, right now, with both HoF Deep Deadeye and HoF Limitless Range:

But, going back to Curry vs. Maravich: Maravich also has HoF P&R Maestro and HoF Difficult Shots. So he's more Curry than this Curry. And he's bigger, taller, a generally better defender, and specifically a good deal less of a liability defending in the paint.

Unless this DI Curry gets cheap, I wouldn't touch it. Definitely don't pay a big premium, because there will no doubt be a PD Curry coming out that, at the least, will be properly badged.

PD Curry will also have HoF P&R Maestro, HoF Difficult Shots, HoF Acrobat, HoF Teardropper...I think these are safe assumptions.

I'm just not looking forward to facing the legions of kids who are going to run this card and spam three's all day. The game yesterday was so hard to watch. It's going to be like 4 years of warriors and that coward Durant just pooping on every team in the NBA...

Games 1 and 2, last year, were blow-outs as well.

And unless you want to derail this thread with a back-and-forth on real-life NBA, then maybe refrain from the (old) hot takes on Durant.

Maybe it's just PC, but I haven't really encountered Curry mad bombers, even when his best card was a generally good card, in its time in the cycle.

With his new release, Bird is just a crazy beast.Almost impossible to guard, can shoot from everywhere. I just finished a game 12/24 on 3 with him.
Do you think his price will rise again after the packs are no more available or new packs will be so op that his price will go down ?

With his new release, Bird is just a crazy beast.Almost impossible to guard, can't shoot from everywhere. I just finished a game 12/24 on 3 with him.

I think bird will stabilize between 300-400k for the remainder of the year.

Bird's price went up almost 100k on XB1 since patch. I think that's going to come down a bit in the coming days.

I don't think Bird will come down in a general sense. At some point, whether tomorrow or within next week, he'll no longer be in packs. A lot of Birds have already, or are slated, to be locked in for PD MJ. And I think people are less inclined to sell him, because he's most definitely an endgame card. Also, I don't picture many people carrying many dupes of this card and not having already put him up.

If I were someone who wants this card, I would try to get him for the best price at which one can win an auction, sooner than later. The price MIGHT come down, but I don't think significantly, and I think the odds are that the price will go up.

Giannis, LeBron and KD are likely getting new cards. KD & LeBron cards can drop within a week. Those cards will make Bird price dip.

I'm basing prediction on price increase for patched players are temporary. Same with KG update. He was around 250K before the SwB update, then he went as high as 370K on XB1, but has been dipped below 300K for the past week or so. In fact, I bought one for resale for 245K last night.



Patched players always drive up demands leading to price increase, there are always people who are willing to pay more than others, creating a bidding war, once those guys are out of the market, price should come down for a while, until all the supplies dry up.
