I do think that the RTTP mode from last year should be in the game for MT and different players you can get thats not in Supermax. Simple fix.2k dropped the ball there.

People that want to play with the cap gets their players and MT and the guys who want to use God squads can.

The biggest thing killing the mode is the difficulty. This can not stay on Pro. Im 30 now my intelligence just cant be insulted like it used. I enjoy this mode. I like the GM feel, the rpg feel, the cap, the card aspect etc BUT Im sorry I cant devote time to this mode when they keep the difficulty so low that garbage play is rewarded. They have to change this to at least All-Star or Superstar.

They also dont have a mode where you can just simply go h2h online vs some one with your team. So yeah the immersion aint there when I cant play the mode and enjoy it. At this point Im going to finish the domination collect all the rubys, amys and the diamond JoJo White and just use those guys as my base but Im done going after sapphires Cambys and Barrys.

The rewards are not worth the hassle right now with game play. I can still keep my team good, get my MT up, and get some cool players from Dom and complete some collections until the amythests start dropping.
Agree %100 with your first point. I really like the idea of a cap. Last year I got into myTeam about 6 weeks in, and it was basically ruined because I could never have a competitive squad beyond Sapphire league without spending a ton on real money. There's just no way to catch up to those all-diamond lineups unless you wait until the very end of the games run when everything becomes super deflated. When you rant against the cap, remember that other players with different commitments and skill levels want to play too.

2 different ladders is the solution
One without any cap at all

and one with restrictions. But REAL restrictions when the worse rated player actually costs less than the higher one. They could base the restrictions also based on card colors and tiers

For example Pind diamond Tier? 2 Maximum Diamonds 3 Amethysts and the rest Rubies saphires and below

Bronze Tier? Only 1 Sapphire, 2 emeralds and the rest gold and Silver etc

And ALL the above in Superstar difficulty

All the rest is just money grab.
What a luck from 2k that all new released pack players will be less used, they will be better and more expensive cards, AND they will have a lower cap cost

I think there needs to be a balance. I think that new cards need a baseline. A Ruby card should start at a certain higher amount, and fluctuate based on usage. Starting them too low does look like a money grab.

Speaking of which I played my 3rd game of this SuperMax season yesterday. Guy had three reward Rubies plus Al Holford and Gheorge Muresan on his team as well as Curry. He led most of the game but I managed to come back against his cheese and win in the final minutes, while yelling f*** you at the monitor lol. Was satisfying but the gameplay was painful of course.

I do think that running a 90+ system prof Pop-led defensive team genuinely helps. I also noticed I was able to dunk on Gheorge alot, which tells me maybe the super-tall players aren't as OP as they have been in years past? Or maybe the guy was just bad.

Last thing I realized was that it takes a CRAZY number of wins at about 125 points a pop just to get that piddly Sapphire reward that will be obsolete almost the moment you get it. Not sure its really worth it, especially since each loss knocks you backwards.

It's nice to see someone who is passionate enough about MT to post this kind of video. I respect that he's got a different perspective about whats wrong with salary max. If there are enough people out there as passionate about not being able to play with their god squads, 2K should try to accommodate them.

But the first and foremost problem is the game play right now. Pro is the devil.

I disagree because hardly anyone will play the restricted one. Unless, the rewards are far better in the restricted one.

If the rewards are comparable but different, people will play both.

And I think you are not correct about the unrestricted one. While the base on this site is super-hardcore, the vast majority of players are never going to be able to accumulate the all-diamond lineups and will be glad to have an option where they don't have to and can still put out a competitive team.

I would definitely play the restricted one. Hell I win the RTTP or whatever it is called every year and then I self-restrict my team

Also it would make it more challenging and add diversity.

indeed. that's the reason I sold all my cards.
won't waste my time with the low iq 5 out spammers hitting contesteds.
if 2K rewards poor offense this mode is dead.

I am 40-2 at PNO. I didn't win all these games. Appx 10-12 must have been quitters to farm VC.

                    I am using All-time Warriors

Game is on SS difficulty, most if not all teams have genuine Centers so no 5 out bs. And it is actually really fun to play against Kobe, Magic, MJ,Shaq,VC and all these superstars.

Sure most people use Lakers but the game is SO much better, even though there is clear cheese there too.

At least this year the DENY all players, offball with Center tactic does not work wonders as last years because you can drive past your offballing defender

Does anyone know how the point system works for wins/losses in Supermax

Not really. Why would they want to use a use 5-6-7/10 games to advance similar to previous year and PNO when they can do as they like?

I still havent played one PNO game after being a diehard the past few years I got caught up in myteam and even (gasp) mycareer for the first time.

But Super Star mode and the all time teams has me intrigued. Like you said none of the 5 out crap and you dont have to worry about getting the Warriors/Cavs every game and your team is loaded.

Im gonna bite. Just have to find an All Time team. Freaking Sonics look insane Durant, Payton, Kemp,Westbrook, yikes.

They are pretty good, but they lack in center position. Kemp plays there but he is short against Wilt, Shaq etc. Kings, Lakers, Bulls, all have a great squad. Also rockets. My goal is to start using 76ers eventually
