I was down 1 point with a .3 second difference between shot clock and game clock so I decide to foul and they booted me for excessive fouling? Is this some sort of sick joke? Have I missed something here?

To think I was finally getting back into MyTeam and kind of enjoying the mode, now they pull this **** LMAO. I'm heading back to PNO and MyPlayer now. 2K literally destroyed my favorite mode.

Super Max is such a snooze fest man. Lmao I'm sorry. I just don't feel the incentive to grind out the mode like last year.

Last year as soon as the MyTeam was unveiled you had a clear goal and that was to reach Pink Diamond Tim Duncan. Man, I spent months grinding for Timmy and I enjoyed every second. As soon as I got him it felt so rewarding man.

But it wasn't even just Timmy, it was all the other rewards you got along the way. The MT, the Diamond shoes, the Amethyst reward players and the Diamond reward players. I didn't mind redoing a tier just to go undefeated and get the tier 1 reward. It was a grind but it was a fun grind.

Why the hell am I playing Super Max? What am I playing for? What is the ultimate goal at the end of the mode?

Why can't I grind out Super Max on the weekend? I have school during the weekdays. I have the most free time on the weekend as I'm sure is the case with the majority of players.

Who the hell signed off on this mode man? This is ridiculous. They went and "fixed" something that wasn't even broken. Another minor thing that pisses me off is the fact that I won't be able to see what my record is at the end of the year. It was a great addition last year and they took it out for no reason smh.

I really tried and played 1 game! My opponent surpassed his 2 minutes of pause at halftime and since he was a bad sport I quit but I wanted to quit at 1st quarter. In any case I won't play myteam again

The guy with a white painted court and a purple ball

Giannis at PG, 4 shooters (yes Marc Gasol at C playing fades) Deny all at start of the game and offball with Center

I really tried to play like I play in PNO. FYI I am 87-12 at PNO. Running freelance etc. I was down 10 points before I understand it

The game is so arcady. I had 12/17 FG and I was 10 behind. The game is simply too awarding for the cheeser to try to play real basketball. 3 pt shots at fast break against only the basket, 3 pt contested, contested layups etc. ALL IN.

I start the season at low division, so I am guessing the difficulty is on pro again, but I just can't handle it man...

Yeah I didn't bother with qualifying this time around and started in Emerald. I played a guy with a budget team and for awhile he was keeping up with me. I figured it must be on pro when he hit a 30' 3 with a a C- shooting bronze player.

Eventually a combo of me being better and having better players got him to quit shortly after halftime.

Have to have high tolerance for bullsh!t and cheese to play.

In my 2nd game, I faced some jack@ss who ran LeBron at 5 (and Artest at 4). Of course his whole entire strategy was to try and outjuke a slow big with LBJ and dunk. Or run around, back and forth, to do the same thing with someone else. Ran Emerald MJ at point guard for that.

But he was an idiot, because I'd back up off his LBJ a good ten feet and he didn't even try to shoot a three. With MJ, he kept trying to dribble gawd around the perimeter while I stood ten feet away, just waiting for him to drive because he has 50 Open 3. Didn't even really try to take threes with Kyrie when he got him open for a moment.

Took plenty of threes but they were always Hail Marys at the end of the clock, after muffing repeated attempts at driving.

Held the cheesy idiot to 26 and beat him by 20. It's still nice just to get games on demand, having come over from PC. While this LBJ at 5 B.S. is not the typical thing I see, most players I see are really cheesy and I think I might get tired of playing MyTeam online. But we'll see.

I started in the Sapphire league and played 3 games going 2-1. The first two players played legitimate basketball. The first game was very competitive until my opponent fouled out late in the 4th and I won by default. I can imagine he probably immediately turned his console out of frustration as the game could have gone either way.

The 2nd game was against a team with a decent starting line up, but a very weak bench compared to mine. I completely overpowered him once the bench came in. I was up by 25 at the half and they quit.

The 3rd game I played against a cheeser and it was a pretty miserable experience. He played a legit Center in the first, but quickly noticed that I would sag way off said Center when playing defense and would protect the paint while also smothering 3 point shooters. He adjusted in the 1st quarter and played Fisher at point and Giannis/Lebron at the 5 the rest of the game. It was effectively 5 out most of the game with my big not being able to keep up with Giannis/Lebron and the cheeser made a lot of 3s'. I lost by 10. It was a frustrating experience, and not because I lost, but because of cheesy line up and execution. I do not have it in me to cheese back because I just do not find it to be any fun. I just want to play basketball. Nevertheless, I guess I need to keep a small forward who I can play at center on my bench for cases like this.

On a side note, it feels like the difficulty is set to pro again. Both of our 3's were going in at a pretty good clip.

For what it's worth, I don't think you necessarily need to match the cheesy out-of-position play.

• Some bigs are mobile enough to cover wings like Giannis/LBJ. Ruby Russell was okay at containing LBJ, at 67 Lat Quickness. Emerald Gasol a good deal less so, even though his LQ is 61...maybe his height/weight. I think Emerald Biyombo would do well. Some similar sized PF's like Sapphire Webber should be good.
• Guys like LBJ and Giannis are not good enough shooters that even a lightly-contested 3 is a good outcome for their team. Sag way off and don't worry about matching moving if they're not moving inward. Make them at least prove they can hit the shot before you're concerned about it.
• IF they are not playing an agile wing as a Stretch 4, then you can probably rearrange defensive assignments so that your 5 is on their 4, your 4 on their 3, your 3 on their 1, and so forth. Or, at least, just assign someone specific to Giannis/LBJ and leave the CPU to auto assign the rest. Not sure how well that works, but I sure as hell don't think we should feel bad for pausing to do this in the Def Matchups menu if they're gonna cheese.
• Guys like Giannis and LBJ can be abused in the paint by legit bigs. I posted up Bill Russell on my opponent's LBJ, even though Russell's actually outweighed by LBJ, and doesn't have a dramatic Strength advantage. Potentially you just deal with the mismatch on D and exploit the reverse mismatch on Offense. Make sure you have shooters all around to punish them when they double-team.

But I agree that I hate it when people pull crap like this. In a sense, I'm fine with it, since MyTeam is fantasy, but the game mechanics for adjusting to this are really clumsy and I just don't want to deal with the hassle.

It sucks that P+P is bordeline unplayable without spending VC. I keep drafting guards or **** players in the later rounds. My frontcourt right now is Beal and KD. Maybe ill download that 2k app so they throw me a couple of VC to help. Instead of purple green blue etc packs to pick from, it should be PG pack, SF pack etc

So question about the foul out. I played two games to get in under the wire for SM2, round 1.

The first game I was getting crushed, for several reasons. First is the guy was plain better than me. Second was that I was oddly laggy, skating everywhere on defense. Third was that he was getting a lot of steals and blocks.

Early in the 4th I get the 'Your opponent has left the game' message.

Second game I play, I'm going up for a dunk, its close, I think I'm up by 1, sometime in the 3rd quarter. Again, 'Your opponent has left the game'.

I get wins for both, and I was thinking, why are people quitting?

Then I thought back and realize I'd shot a lot of Free Throws...

Did these people get kicked for the foul limit? They fouled a lot but it didn't feel excessive. Does the winner of these matches not get informed that's why they are kicked?

Really does make me not want to play (even though I won both), given that I didn't feel either player was being over-the-top with fouls. I did drive the lane a lot and maybe the first player did take advantage of reaching and jumping a lot, but it didn't feel like cheesing.

The foul out limit has to be a glitch. I refuse to believe of any of the devs would be incompetent enough to purposely implement something like that.

I'm pretty sure when opponent fouls out the "winner" gets message you got. They get a message that tells them they exceeded foul limit.

It's not hard to foul out though it's certainly avoidable. I set D on Conservative all game long.

It's pretty much imperative to use Right Stick Contest all the time and minimize Block attempts.
