They obviously are in the game because I have seen them applied to players cards on the block. If you have seen diamond shoes or contracts, what do they go for? Thanks!

Diamond Contracts & Shoes
I have only seen the "Pop" diamond card on the auction block this year. Has anybody seen contracts or shoes?

you can't sell them... you can only apply them to players and try to sell those -

Re: Diamond Contracts & Shoes
What do you guys think is the range for additional value that Diamond shoes bring? Obviously, some are more desirable than others, as is the underlying card, and sometimes people apply a Shoe that should have gone to someone else. But...what is really rough range for premium these bring? I come from PC and have no idea how much more I should be willing to pay.
(But I guess, for me, personally, for cards that are out right now, I would be willing to pay up to around 10K more for a really good Diamond Shoe. Mainly because we're early in the cycle and even if I won't be playing any presently available cards a few months from now, in SuperMax, there's a lot of vs. CPU games to play and a Diamond Shoe can be thought to be a good bargain if you end up playing the card in, say, 125+ games total.)Comment

As an example from last year for ps4, I put on a diamond shoe last year on diamond Jimmy butler when he was consistently going for 30-35k and was able to sell him for 55k. I think it was the +9 driving dunk shoe or something. Nothing too elite like +9 3 point or that kind.
I also sold diamond KG last year with a diamond contract on for I think 120-130k when he was going 100k I believe. These are all rough estimates from last year.

Re: Diamond Contracts & Shoes
I pulled my first diamond shoe today from a free preorder pack, but unfortunately, I don't have any cards that are worth putting that shoe onto:
Jordan CP3.X
+9 Ball Control
+9 Hands
+9 Passing Accuracy
+9 Close Shot
+9 Contested Mid
The +9 ball control is the main benefit; it would allow a card that can't speed boost to speed boost.
Does anybody have any recommendations for ruby/amethyst/diamond cards that have good dribble animations but are a few points short of 86 on the ball control attribute?
I also noticed that historic cards can now wear any shoe brand as of patch 5. This means I can finally put a stamina shoe onto emerald Jamal Crawford and fix his biggest issue as a card (82 stamina rating). I can start the Crawford/Rodney Rogers duo now and log heavy minutes with them instead of bringing them off the bench and only playing them in short spurts before Crawford becomes too tired to be effective.Last edited by jyoung; 11-01-2017, 10:05 PM.Comment

Re: Diamond Contracts & Shoes
But I could see the rationale behind putting it on an Amethyst in the early game that one will use the heck out of for the next 3-6 months. Maybe more.
Amethyst Rewards Artest is a good candidate. He would utilize every single point of all the boosts, wasting none. With 79 BC, the +9 would get him to 88 and speed-boosting range. Moreover, a +6 BC shoe WILL NOT get him there.
I personally probably would not do it, mainly because if I wanted to add a shoe to Artest, I'd bump his Contest +9 from 87 to 96. Also, if there are any +9 BC shoes then one could use those...the other boosts on this shoe aren't necessarily game-changing. That said...now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen any +9 BC shoes this year.
Maybe there's some Kobe that does +9 Contest and +9 Post Fade and +9 Post Control, which I think would be really cool for Artest and bullying guards.
But Artest is already a legit driving threat right now and an Artest who can speed boost could be pretty scary. Getting him to 78 Pass Acc and 94 Contested Mid dovetails with that, as well.Comment

Re: Diamond Contracts & Shoes
Ever since I been playing 2k I never got a Diamond contract or shoe.
Would love to slap some shoes and contracts on Jo Jo White and Artest.Comment

Re: Diamond Contracts & Shoes
I got lucky and pulled a diamond shoe with my weekly team pack. I'd like to put it on Ron Artest (my best card). Thing is the shoe improves defensiv stats like pass percerption etc., Artest already has really high ratings and some would bump over 99... is that possible? Should I use it on Artest now or am I wasting some of the boosts since 99 is the limit?Comment

Re: Diamond Contracts & Shoes
I pulled a Diamond shoe in a single pack. I bought 2 moments boxes when Curry came out and had some pretty decent pulls but no Diamond shoes.
Bought two single packs the next day and that's when I pulled the diamond shoe. Haven't received my free pack yet, sounds like good odds.
There are absolutely no reasons why you should put a Diamond shoe on any of these cards. I strongly suggest holding onto that shoe until good Diamond moments cards come out later.Comment
