        Name: Connor Thompson

        Height: 6’5”

        Weight: 200 lbs

        Positon: PG/SG

        Year: Senior(rs)

        School: Jacksonville University

Strength: Pure Ball handler, Passing, Speed, Quickness, Stealing, Defense, Mid Range Shooter, Inside Shooter

Weakness: Rebouding, Box Out, Free throws, 3 Point, Strength, Injury

        Storyline:

Connor was a three star recruit coming out of high school. He was not really sought after. He had offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, FAU, FIU, NYU, Buffalo, JU, UNF, and San Jose State. Connor being a native of Florida being from New Port Ritchey he chose to stay in state, by choosing Jacksonville University. He was good enough to play with some little more known name schools but his grades in school and test scores is what scared teams away. His potential from some known coaches i.e. Bob Knight and Coach K both said that he can go on to be a great if he has all the right coaching and fundamentals in place.

When interviewed about Connor, Coach Cliff Warren of the dolphins had a great things to say about Connor. Coach Warren stated that he was a great leader his last two seasons with the Dolphins. “Connor Thompson is going to be the sleeper of this years draft pick. With his speed and basketball smarts he can definitely lead a team to a championship one day. Connor Thompson is not a ready yet started but after 4 years of the right training he can definetly be a great leader. Over the five years that Connor has been here he has matured greatly. His mind on school was he got right and just putting time in the weight room and court he is has grown into a fine basketball player. I remember when he got here to JU he was all about partying and he was a tall lanky person. He came in 6’5” 180, but after getting him to understand the teams mission he filled out real nicely for us.” Coach Warren stated.

        Connor Thompson numbers:

He ends his career with an average of 18.9 ppg. 15 assists per game, and .5 rbg.
