Beautiful work I grew watching 80's and 90's basketball, This is a awesome roster, love the effort you put into this. I like that the players play life like. I'm hoping you continue your work in 2k18. It's been a blast playing with these teams, the only minor thing I've done for my personal preference is add a few more plays to some of the teams for more scoring opportunities, even though this roster doesn't really need it. Keep up the good work.

Cool, glad you like the work bro. I knew I had the 89 Pistons playing right when Bill Lambier and Rick Mahorn both drew flagrant fouls in the first quarter during one of my tests. lol

I'm just happy I was able to get these Classic Teams completed and playing as close to their real-life counterparts. From a retro-head perspective, this game feels so complete to me now.

Not sure about 2K18. Only way that I can do this again is if I have some help and if editing capabilities are made easier. This was a HUGE task to complete by myself. Not sure if I will have the same leisure time or drive to commit to a project like this next year.

One request: the 2000 Indiana Pacers.

It would complete the teams the Lakers beat in the Finals. That was a great team, winning 56 games.

I can use the 95 pacers and make some adjustments though.

Also, I will willingly assist you in 2K18.

Not sure about the 2000 Pacers as I still want to create two more bonus teams. I may revisit the ideas after I get those two new teams done.

I might need to add another player to the 83 Sixers for My League purposes. Teams require a 13 man roster and I think I only did 12 players on the 83 Sixers.

Quick Disclaimer... I haven't been able to test out the 83 Sixers and 86 Rockets as a team yet. I just have the players with ratings tends etc... edited in the FA pool. But as far as how they play as a collective, didn't get to test them like I wanted to . Probably will run tests then re-tweak tendencies. Just wanted to get them out to you guys because they were highly requested.


Yeah man, I had a blast adding the 17 Warriors and matching them up against some of the other classic teams like 13 Heat, 96 Bulls, 01 Lakers etc... Fun matchups.

maybe add one of those generic players or something just to round out the 13 man roster....

I wish I could enjoy this roster more, but everybody seems to be really overrated and have way too many HOF badges. I don't expect you to redo all the ratings just cause of me but just some feedback.

I mean in terms of 2k ratings. I think the HOF badges are overused. Like for example Michael Redd has 3 hof badges in his second year in the league. And the clippers have almost a team full of 80 overalls. That almost never happens in terms of 2k official rosters at least.

We are coming at this from 2 different perspectives. You are approaching this project simply from an overall rating standpoint. My focus was on gameplay. In order to have the teams play as close to their counterparts, some ratings and badges were boosted up, some were lowered. However, the trick is to make sure that the tendencies are on point. So although Michael Red may have a HOF 3pt badge, he won't be shooting like 8 3pts a game and leading the team in scoring. He will shoot open looks from 3 in which he is pretty much money.

The clippers have players rated in the 80s true, but once again, how do they play? Is Lamar Odom dropping 40ppg? No. But is he posting up and play making? Yes. Is Darius Miles draining pull-up 3s? No. But does he run pick n roll, catch Alley Oops, Beating slower 4man off the dribble? Yes. Is Q Rich getting like 10 Asst a game? No. Is he posting up on the low block, using spin moves, & draining corner 3's off the bench? Yes

I can tell that you combed over the roster and just looked at the ratings and made your feedback off of that. Which is cool. But ratings don't make the game necessarily play better. Play a few games, and tell me who's playing out of character.

Fair points I'm looking at it from a myleague sim perspective, but I'll try it from a gameplay perspective.

Just a quick heads up.... For those who are interested... I may be releasing an alternate file that has the 01 Kings replacing the 02 Kings, and the 09 Magic replacing the 01 Magic. Been running tests with the 09 Magic team and they have been surprisingly fun to watch. Still working on making 01 Kings a little more flashier.

The 02 Kings and 01 Magic players will be placed in the FA Pool.


Also... Going to work on the 07-08 Hornets this week/weekend.
