The sheet seems to be geared toward Play Now, rather than Start of Season. The Sixers on the sheet is definitely Post Trade Deadline

This doesn’t seem right.. can someone confirm what roster?

Forget the money, until I see 15-20 teams up..ill be in baseball world. I never thought it would take this long to get anything.. I haven't checked doc in 2-3 weeks, but from murmurs, its dry and that's okay

Hey mate.. can you confirm if it should be the play now or myleague roster? I know a couple people say that it should be the play now roster but as this is your project I thought I would confirm with you as myleague makes a lot more sense to me

Honestly if we get the information there should be no problem doing both. I do have a roster file that is on share that is from the first 3 weeks of the NBA season. Personally I think the play now roster would suffice better just because everybody will be where they ended up but I understand those who want to have authentic draft trades. Fwiw this is also a community project I just decided to orchestrate a thread for the PS4 community don't get me wrong with the material for Sim World surfaces I will gladly put in the work but I wouldn't necessarily call myself the Headmaster you know the saying it takes a village to raise a child it also takes a village to create the best simulation aspects for video games

Hi guys,

I’m making another push to get this data in on the Xbox thread. My guess is that maybe a bit of compensation will get it done quickly and I’m happy to oblige. Do we have 2-3 Xbox people who would committo working together on this? If so:

How much effort it’s required (hours)?
What is fair compensation per hour?
How quickly can we get it done?

JRM has put his hand up to be involved. Once I have the answer to those questions, I’ll make sure the $ arranged. I’ll cover the costs upfront so that it’s secured and set up a donate page or something if people want to chip in. Obviously the main thing we will compensate is getting the data into the spreadsheet. I think we have enough people here willing to chip in time for the next step of getting it from the spreadsheet onto PS4.

I've contacted Ronyell about getting edit access. Like I told him, no promises on how quickly I'll work but I'll be glad to help out. No money necessary. If the SW guys don't get paid for making the roster, I'd feel bad taking money for just transcribing it.

As to the discussion about myleague vs play now:

I would like to eventually see a comprehensive port (both play now and myleague -including sigs, points of emphasis, etc). Now I know that is a much bigger job than has been contemplated here, but I think that should be the goal. I think if we set this up to fairly compensate the people who are going to put in the time then I don’t see why we can’t get there. Having said that, it makes sense to do this in increments and my vote is the myleague roster as I think that is generally faster and easier to “update” to play now than vice versa.

That’s a good point.

However, a case could be made that they would get the benefit of their work going cross-platform and therefore reaching a wider audience. I think the quality of work that they’ve done here is unknown outside of the OS community, but it’s possible that having this both on PS4 and Xbox and making a bit of a push to get the info out about how transformative the roster is to gameplay could lead to Ronyell and the team getting the recognition they deserve. I honestly don’t understand why 2k doesn’t just engage directly with the community to fix the game. It’s been at least 5-6 years since people on this board originally worked out the coding issue behind ratings and tendencies and now it’s just embarrassing (but not at all unique in the gaming world) that the community can do so much better. More importantly, it’s a pain having to spend so much time every year fixing their nonsense. Maybe if enough people see what the game is supposed to look like 2k will take notice and see that it’s an opportunity to make more money (which ultimately is the only thing they care about).

Yeah I was thinking about taking some screenshots and putting them in imgur albums so the PS4 guys could help too. If I had to guess, it takes probably an hour and a half to two hours for each team (at least) and I just don't have the time to tackle it by myself.
