Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
“ I have also noticed that using the progression and regression sliders, players do not become over powered over the course of their career. For instance, I looked at a couple players really fast to check how they progressed and regressed with badges over their career.
In the roster celtic built, Trae Young started with 23 badges, and 5 years into my myleague, he is up to 36.
Ja Morant starts with 11, up to 26
Zion starts with 8, up to 27.
Giannas is up to 46.
I looked at my top rookies I created and how they progressed over 5 years, and they went from..
15 to 25 badges
15 to 24 badges
13 to 1 badge (This player was designed to be a bust)
Badges seem to be directly related to peak start and peak end, and JB and I have a great idea of how to make peak ages work to create busts, role players, and stars, so worrying about too many badges should not be an issue. As you can see, those players that started with a lot of badges, really don't end with too many more than where guys like Trae Young, Ja, or Zion do. You might see some players with less, or more, depending on what kind of player they become. Not only that, but in my most recent class, I only had 9 players with double digit badges. Some of those will gain badges, some will lose badges, some will stay right around 10 based on if they are a bust, role player, or star.
If you want to limit badges, go through and get rid of worm, pro touch, green machine, and hot zone hunter, as this is what celtic did. ”Comment

Here’s a post I made a month or 2 ago. It’s talking about JBs draft classes and mine in relation to CeltigLG34s roster. I hope it answers your question.

I am making some classes and just picked up a PS4 the other day so it is my first time using any of your guys' classes and rosters as well. I know on 2k19 you almost had to give badges out as a rookie that you expect them to grow into as they did not really accrue any throughout their careers but based off your info it is not the case here.
Do guys who start with 0 or 1 badge at say a 7OVR have the possibility to become a 80OVR with 8-10 badges? That would be perfect if so!Comment

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
Arkansas takes on Kentucky in an SEC matchup featuring two 5-star recruits in Ketuckys' D'Quannis Ochefu and Arkansas' Keon Black. Ross Bruan, a sophomore Center for Kentucky, will enter the draft this year as well.
D'Quannis Ochefu is a 6'7 freshman SF who is one of the best athletes we have ever seen. He does not have much of a shot, but his athleticism has NBA GMs drooling. He should hear his name in the top 10.
Ross Bruan is a glass cleaner who plays solid defense down low. He is a good value pick later in the 1st round.
Finally we have Keon Black, the 6'11 stretch center for Arkansas. He is an interesting case, as he does not show a lot of hustle while out on the floor, and has the reputation of being un-coachable. He has some incredible talent, but Arkansas was one of his only major scholarship offers. He is one of the biggest boom or bust players early in the 1st round.
Early in the game, Keon Black was having his way with the Kentucky defense. He started off 2-2 from 3 point range in the first 5 minutes of the game, while also working the low post for another 6 points. Ross Bruan who was recovering from an illness, would come off the bench in this one. When he entered the game the tides changed for Black. Braun was able to contain Keon Black for the remainder of the 1st half. D'Quannis Ochefu was able to keep the score close, and he was pretty effective while driving to the hoop the majority of the night. He had a couple of thunderous dunks as well.
After the break, Keon Black picked up his 4th foul early in the 2nd half. From here Ochefu and Braun would take over the game. Arkansas had to put Black back in the game, but he refused to come back in the game with Arkansas losing by 20 points. Kentucky would cruise the rest of the way to a victory, 80-62
D'Quannis Ochefu would finish with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Ross Bruan finished with 9 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
Keon Black finished with 16 points, all in the first half, and 2 rebounds.Comment

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
Oregon and Washington met up in a Pac-12 matchup that features 2 premier post players. Oregon freshman PF Tray Petteway leads the Pac-12 in scoring this season, while Washington's freshman PF Justin Gardner is one of the more athletic post players in this years draft.
Tray Petteway is a 6'10 scoring machine, who does most of his damage in the low post, but can stretch it out to the 3 point line on occasion. His defense needs work, but he should be able to score at the next level. He will hear his name called towards the end of the first round, but could sneak into the lottery.
Justin Gardner is an athletic PF with good height at 6'10. He plays very good defense, but his offensive game is a work in progress. He does most of his scoring on putbacks at this point. He has a lot of potential, and if he can put it together on the offensive end he could be a 2-way force in the NBA. He will likely hear his name called early in the 1st round based on his athletic profile alone.
Tray Petteway and #22 Oregon would take home the victory 74-67. They needed every one of Tray Petteway's career high 37 points to take home the victory. Justin Gardner was busy guarding Oregon's freshman center, Alec Pettis, who he was able to hold to just 7 points, a season low.
Petteway would finish with 37 points, 9 rebounds.
Justin Gardner had 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks.Comment

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
#2 Michigan State takes on Illinois in a Big-10 matchup. Michigan State is having a fantastic year behind sophomore wing, Aaron Lucas and freshman PG, Kelyn Ross.
Aaron Lucas only played in 4 games as a freshman before losing the rest of his season to a knee injury, but the former 5 star is off to a good start this season. It appears he does not have his explosiveness that he had last year, but he could regain that with more time and he still finishes well around the hoop. He has great size at 6'8 and should hear his name near the end of the lottery.
Kelyn Ross is an athletic pass first PG who makes his living driving and kicking to open teammates. His shot is not consistent yet, but he does provide solid defense. He has average height at 6'2. Ross might slip to the 2nd round due to his lack of scoring, but could end up as a late 1st round pick.
Illinois has a solid freshman center in Tyree Johnson. He is the most athletic center in the draft, but has struggled to stay on the floor freshman year. When he is on the floor, he is one of the best players in the nation. He is a great shot blocker, and plays best in the pick and roll. If Tyree could just stay healthy, he would be a surefire lottery pick. As it stands right now, he will be a mid to late 1st round pick.
Tyree Johnson was able to get to work early and often for Illinois in this one, as Michigan State had no one down low to guard him. He was an absolute force. Kelyn Ross was able to facilitate the offense well for the Spartans and would end up with a career high 11 assists. Aaron Lucas had a tough time driving to the rim in this one with Tyree Johnson playing the middle of the zone. Johnson would finish with 5 blocks, 4 of which were on Lucas. Illinois would upset Michigan State 64-58.
Aaron Lucas would finish with 12 points on 4-17 shooting, 7 rebounds
Kelyn Ross finished with 14 points, 11 assists, 2 steals
Tyree Johnson's monster night resulted in 28 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks.Comment

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
Kansas takes on Texas in a Big 12 matchup. Both are competing with Kansas State for a Big 12 title, so every game is important. This season, the Big 12 is the best conference in basketball with KU, K-State, and Texas, all having a legit chance to make Final 4 runs. All 3 of them have been ranked in the top 10 all season.
Kansas sophomore SF Tyriq Cannon was a lock for the top 10 last season before coming back this season, and he has not disappointed. He is one of the best players in the country this year. He uses his good height at 6’8 to get to the basket well, but his calling card is his knock down shot. He can change the game on any given night with his scoring ability. He should still hear his name in the top 10 this year.
Kansas SG, senior Damon Singleton is a slashing SG who has started the last 2 years for the Jayhawks. He is a pretty solid ball handler, but struggles passing and does not have a consistent shot. He is at his best when getting to the basket. He is projected to go in the 2nd round of this years draft.
Finally, we have Texas SG D’Angelo Kempton. Kempton is just a freshman, but he plays like a grown man. He is 6’7, 220, so he can bully smaller defenders down low, but his athleticism allows him to get around bigger defenders. It feels like he has put a defender on a poster in every game, and that was no different in this one. His shot is inconsistent at this point, but it should develop. We would be shocked if he does not go in the top 5.
This was a fantastic game with both teams trading blows throughout the game. Kempton got going early and often was able to silence the Kansas crowd by jumping out to. 21-5 lead. Damon Singleton was able to weather the storm by slowing the pace of the game. Him and Tyriq Cannon worked a nice 2 man game with the dribble kick, and they were able to cut the deficit down to 4 before half time. After the break, Tyriq Cannon showed why he is in the running for the Naismith player of the year award. He went 8-9 from the field in the 2nd half, including 5-5 from 3. Kempton would do everything in his power to keep it close, but ultimately KU would pull away to win, 87-80.
Kempton would finish with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals.
Damon Singleton had 15 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Tyriq Cannon had a career high 36 points, 8 rebounds, and finished 7-11 from 3 point range.Comment

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
West Region Preview
#1 UCLA (29-5)-UCLA is led by 2 seniors in the front court, 6'10 PF Robert Lambert, and 6'9 PF/SF Jamaal Quinn. Lambert is a solid athlete who specializes in defense while Quinn is an all around player. Both could provide solid depth in the NBA.
#2 Washington State (28-6)-Had Washington State knocked off UCLA in the Pac-12 Championship, they would probably be on the 1 line. WSU is led by Marcus Porter at PG, with Duane and Derrick Porter playing SG and SF. Any of the 3 are capable of going off on any given night. Marcus Porter could be a solid backup PG in the NBA, while Duane and Derrick have a bit more potential, as they are just sophomores.
#3 Arizona (25-7)-Arizona has one of the more intriguing players in this years tournament with point forward, Dionte Giddens. Giddens has been inconsistent at times, but at 6'8 and the ability to handle the ball, he had one of the more unique skill sets in this years draft. He along with 6'10 PF, Demarcus Mills will make Arizona a tough out.
#4 Wisconsin (24-9)-Wisconsin has a solid team around jr. wing, Avery Morris. Morris is a stretch 4 who can score inside and out, and has started for 3 years now at Wisconsin.
#5 Illinois (23-10)-When freshman center Tyree Johnson is on the floor for Illinois, they are one of the best teams in the nation and capable of beating anyone. He has struggled to stay on the floor due to injuries.
#6 Washington (22-10)-Washington is a solid all around team, but they definitely underachieved this season. It's not every day a player of Justin Gardner's talent rolls through your school. They managed to knock off Pac-12 champ UCLA, but they have some bad losses as well.
#7 Utah State (25-9)-While Utah State is not the best team in the field, they have one of the best scorers in senior SG Laurence Jackson. He is absolutely deadly in the mid-range.
#8 NC State (20-13)-A below average team. Bishop Riley a sharpshooting wing gives them a strong senior scoring presence.
Lunardi's Analysis
Final 4 pick: Washington State
5 Best Players: Tyree Johnson (Illinois), Laurence Jackson (Utah State), Duane Porter (Washington State), Justin Gardner (Washington), Dionte Giddens (Arizona)
Overseeded:NC State
Under-seeded: Utah State
If they catch fire can make a run: Wisconsin

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
Midwest Region Preview
#1 Kansas State (30-4)-Kansas State and Eric Stockton have been solid the last 3 years, but this year they have taken it to another level. Stockton is arguably the best PG in the country and gives the Wildcats a senior leader, while SF Kyler Lofton might be the best player in the country.
#2 Michigan State (28-6)-Michigan State has plenty of firepower to matchup with Kansas State if they meet in the Elite 8. With sophomore SG Aaron Lucas healthy, and freshman PG Kelyn Ross playing himself into a lottery pick, they should be a tough out for any team.
#3 Virginia (25-9)Virginia is led by 2 sophomores post players and their incredible defense. 6'10 PF Dmarius Warren and 7'0 Kyshaun Bryan have helped lead Virginia to the best defense in the nation.
#4 Arkansas (23-10) An SEC Tournament championship lead to this seed. Arkansas, along with best player Keon Black, is one of the most inconsistent teams in the nation. They are capable of beating anyone when he is putting in effort, but they are also capable of losing to any team if Black is having a bad night.
#5 TCU (24-9)-TCU is a solid team with a future lottery pick on their team in sophomore PF Dalrone Donaldson. He's a 6'9 stretch 4, who has a decent amount of athleticism. If he has a strong tournament he could even sneak into the top 10.
#6 Texas Tech (22-11)-Texas Tech is an average team. A solid freshman class has carried them. Watch out for them in years to come.
#7 Oregon (21-12)-A rough stretch in February where Oregon dropped 5 of 6 games caused Oregon to slip a few spots in the seeding. The freshman front court of scoring machine Trey Patteway and Alec Mills is one of the best in the nation, but they are both still young and inconsistent. Mills will be back for his sophomore year.
#8 Florida (19-13)-2nd team SEC PG Tyione Gilmore is a solid player for the Gators, but he does not have much help.
Lundardi's Analysis
Final 4 Pick: Virginia
5 Best Players: Kyler Lofton (KSU), Eric Stockton (KSU), Trae Patteway (Oregon), Kelyn Ross (Michigan State), Dalrone Donaldson (TCU)
Overseeded: Arkansas
Under-seeded: TCU

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
South Region Preview
#1 Kentucky (31-3):Kentucky is one of the favorite to win it all this year with super athletic SF D'QUannis Ochefu leading the team. Sophomore center, Ross Braun is a solid presence downlow as well. Teams have had a tough time containing both players on any given night.
#2 Texas (27-6):Texas lost to KU in the Big 12 semi finals, and had they won that, they might of found their way into a 1 seed. Freshman SG D'Angelo Kempton is one of the best dunkers we have ever seen. He is a lock for the top 5 and gives Texas a chance to win on any given night.
#3 Kansas (27-7): Kansas after losing to Kansas State in the Big-12 title expected to end up on the 2 line, not the 3 line. The committee might of messed this one up. KU is led by sophomore SF Tyriq Cannon, and senior SG Damon Singleton.
#4 Xavier (27-6): Freshman SG Ontario Bing is one of the best players in the nation this year. He gives Xavier a solid offensive threat and he plays excellent perimeter defense as well.
#5 Creighton (24-9): Creighton is captained by junior SG Reggie Bender. He is a slashing guard who can throw down with the best of them, but his team is weak outside of him.
#6 USC (23-10): USC is led by sophomore SG Donnell Terry. Terry still struggles to consistently score, but when he is on he is capable of being the best player on the floor.
#7 San Diego State(25-7): Sophomore Shane Dawkins is one of the better players in the country. He has solid height at the PG position at 6'4. He is able to make his teammates better and also score on his own.
#8 Ole Miss (20-12): Ole Miss is an average team who should get destroyed by Kentucky in round 2. They lost both games to the Wildcats in the regular season both by 30+ points.
Lundardi's Analysis
Final 4 Pick: Kentucky
5 Best Players: D'Quannis Ochefu (Kentucky), D'Angelo Kempton (Texas), Tyriq Cannon (Kansas), Ontario Bing (Xavier), Shane Dawkins (San Diego State)
Overseeded: Creighton
Under-seeded: Kansas

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
East Region Preview
#1 North Carolina (29-4): Freshman PF Isaiah West has been a force for UNC all year. He is very good in the low post and has a great mid-range. He's 6'9, so he may be a little undersized to play the position in the NBA, but he's been a force in college. Sophomore SF Zaire Oliver has had multiple 30 point games this year, he has just been inconsistent. If he can put it all together, he could be an absolute steal in the 2nd round.
#2 Duke (27-7): Duke is led by senior SG Macaleb Hughes and freshman post Devunte Dawson. Hughes has rode the bench for 3 years but always stayed true to his school and finally got his chance this season, and he has not disappointed. Dawson is a playmaking 5 who has incredible vision down low. He's not the best athlete in the world, and his offense could use work, but he is surprisingly a good ball handler for his height.
#3 Michigan (24-9): Michigan is a solid team with one of the best PG's in the nation in senior Arthur Justice. Standing at only 5'11, he might not transition well to the NBA, but he is a knock down shooter who's super quick.
#4 Villanova (24-10): Villanova is led by freshman PJ Kane who has insane handles. He does a good job of creating for his teammates who all know their roles on the team.
#5 Tennessee (23-10): Tennessee has a solid pair of juniors in PG Marvin Drake and PF Micah House. Both do not wow you, but limit their mistakes and always keep Tennessee in the game.
#6 Butler (24-10): Jay Newsom has been a fan favorite at Butler for 3 years. he is a solid PG who might be one of the best passers in the nation. He has a knack of finding his teammates no matter where they are on the court.
#7 Baylor (22-10): The Bears have a solid team around junior post player, Nate Shields. Shields is still pretty raw, but has seemed to get better each year. He is a great dunker and a good athlete for his size.
#8 UCF (21-12): A bubble team before they rattled of 4 straight wins to win their conference tournament.
Lunardi's Analysis
Final 4 Pick: North Carolina
5 Best Players: Isaiah West (UNC), Macaleb Hughes (Duke), Devunte Dawson (Duke), PJ Kane (Villanova), Daymonn Sutton (Drake)
Overseeded: Michigan
Under-seeded: Baylor
If they catch fire they can make a run: Villanova, #15 Seed Drake

Re: FT Dynasty NBA2k20 Fictional Draft Classes
Opening Round
West Region
All chalk in this region with the exception of #10 Auburn over #7 Utah State 76-62. PG Deron McDaniel had a 22 point 10 assist double double in the upset.
Midwest Region
#12 Harvard and senior SF Yunlong Lee are playing Cinderella for the 2nd year in a row after knocking off #5 TCU 67-59. Lee had 27 points in the victory while making 5 3-pointers. Dalrone Donaldson had 19 points, 11 rebounds in the loss.
#13 Stephen F. Austin knocks off #4 Arkansas. This was simply a disaster for Arkansas from the start as Stephen F. Austin started the game off on a 15-2 run. Keon Black got into foul trouble, and when he was on the floor later it appeared he had no interest in being there. Final, 78-58.
South
All chalk except for #9 Dayton over #8 Ole Miss 62-60. Ole Miss had no answer for 7’4 Center, Petey Winslow. Winslow was a beast in this one going 11-14 from the field, scoring 28 points and pulling in 14 rebounds.
East
10 seed Memphis knocks off 7 seed Baylor, 76-75 on a last second shot from junior SG Brendan Childress. Childress is a knock down shooter who finished with 24 points. Nate Shields had 22 points and 3 blocks in the loss for the Bears.
#12 Wichita State beats #5 Tennessee 79-76. Freshman PG Charlie Gray drove the lane and kicked it out to junior SF Pereon McCants for the game winning 3 with 4 seconds remaining.
2 seed Duke survives a scare from 15 seed Drake. Drake had a 6 point lead going into the final 5 minutes of the game. Sophomore PG, Daymonn Sutton was an absolute monster in the loss for the bulldogs, putting up 41 points. Macaleb Hughes scored 10 of the final 13 points for the Blue Devils as they finished the game on a 13-2 run. Duke would win 87-82. Keep an eye on Daymonn as he will be returning to Drake for his junior season. He was top 5 in scoring this past season. Many thought it was due to his level of competition in the Missouri Valley, but this showing against Duke might have proved otherwise.Last edited by Jeffruel; 12-15-2019, 12:53 AM.Comment
