I always felt like that even with the actual 01-02 roster, with an healthy MJ they had a chance to make a deep playoff run. They were 26-20 when he got that knee injury.

All facts. That knee injury changed everything. And jordan were gunning for that MVP. I seen a stat that read jordan and kobe were the only guys who were averaging 25, 5 and 5 pre all star break. However another what ifs.

3rd game of my Wizards season.

Its New Jersey Nets vs Washington Wizards


The Wiz started Kwame Brown instead of Jahidi White, and the rookie made an impact and played a really good game.
The Nets went ahead early behind great stuff from Jason Kidd and K-Mart.
Jordan was good almost great and the Wizards made a run in the 2nd half and take the lead, but the Nets just refused to lose.
Kidd was clutch and made a 3 pointer with 10 seconds to go for the 93-90, and MJ missed the 3s just at the buzzer.
Air Jordan finished with 30 on 12\22 shooting, Hamilton got 15 and Kwame 8+10 boards.
Kidd scored 30+5 assist, Martin 18+13 boards.

We are 0-3 so far, this was my best game but still 0 wins.

Thanks for the rosters, just downloaded them to start up a Hawks dynasty as that's where I live now (I actually get Shareef!). Played as the Wiz back the first time around as I was a DC kid, so I love seeing the support for them.

What sliders & difficulty you guys using out of interest? Not sure if I want to just go straight in with default sliders or use my own set on Allstar difficulty.

For now Im using hall of fame difficulty and my sliders is on default. Its a challenge but i can handle it. I love a fun competitive/chess like game bro.

This 2002 season is challenging yet fun while competing against the new crop such as kobe, tmac, vince, iverson, etc on a daily basis. Almost every game brings a new challenge like trying to contain a speedy baron davis is no joke and i am loving it. For example we just played a game against the sixers and iverson gave us 45 reasons why they call him the answer. However his shot attempts were in the 40s,his FG percentage were 43 and my wizards won by 8. Jordan only scored 35.

FINALLY first WIN for MJ and the Wizards

After a hard loss in Philly (97-72 with 25 for AI and MJ) the Wizards got the W in Atlanta.
Both Washington and Atlanta were without a win in the season entering the game, with me 0-5 and the Hawks 0-6 lol.
The Hawks played without the injured Jason Terry, and the game was an ugly battle. Abdur-Rahim played at All-Star level, but MJ was just MJ.
The Hawks had a chance with 10 seconds to go with Rahim, but he missed from the mid-range and so the Wizards had their chance with Michael, but his fadeaway was too long! Overtime in Atlanta.
In the Extratime the Hawks lost a couple of players for fouls and Air Jordan finished the job. Final score Atlanta 89 Washington 94.
MVP Jordan with 38 points on 15\27 shooting, Rip Hamilton added 17. Bad game for Laettner, but good things from Jahidi White with 10 boards.
The Hawks got 21+16 boards from Abdur-Rahim, 13 from Glover and 13 from Ratliff. Poor shooting night for Kukoc.

After 6 games and a 1-5 winning record, here some random stats: Jordan 4th in scoring with 27.7 ppg on 50%, he is playing at good level but more help is needed.
Rip Hamilton is struggling (11.2 ppg on 39%) and no one else seems to be capable of averaging double figure. Laettner is the 3rd scorer on the team with 8 ppg.
Kobe is the leading scorer with 30.2 ppg, Iverson is 2nd with 30.1 ppg and 3rd is Vince Carter with 28.8 ppg.
