    Ausar Thompson
    Jrue Holiday
    Dariq Whitehead
    Gianni Giddens
    Devante Zimmerman (rookie)

    Marcus Bremer (rookie)
    Malik Rolle
    Marquis Hightower
    Russell Slim (rookie)
    Tari Eason
    Elio Formenti
    Jermaine Rhodes
    PJ Washington
    Mouhamed Gueye
    Romond Lewis

Really young squad but Jrue is all the vet leadership we need this year since we just destroyed the draft lol this team is set for a decade. Love your work brother and I hope everything is going well with fatherhood. Peace.
Love that! Thanks for the update. How many wings can you stack on one team, sheeeesh. Bremer and Giddens were two of my favorites. Slim is a dude I loved but never played with. Excited to see how this squad turns out.

Lol I need ALL the wings. I always prioritize length and versatility, even my "guards" are just big ball handlers and i like to go small ball when i can too. I also run an event generator so Rhodes hasn't touched the court yet (ACL) and Rolle has had both his seasons cut short (Achilles), so the depth is needed. At this point I'm just waiting on the development because the pieces are there. And Slim is awesome, true connector piece. He's like a fundamental version of Josh Giddey with a jumper.

Re: Jeffruel's 2k23 Fictional Draft Classes

        Hey guys,

The usual recap of this year’s NBA, thanks to Jeff & JB’s draft classes.
Again, this year was a great one, and hopefully next year more people will be able to enjoy the classes with crossplay.

JB’s classes usually produce the best players
        Jeffruel’s classes are more unpredictable

Just out of personal preference, I’d like to see more highly rated players in Jeff’s classes, and more unpredictability in JB’s classes (50/50 bust & boom odds, risky players, etc.). But again, outstanding classes from both of you this year.

Now, I ran 2 franchises again this year, the Spurs and the Bulls.
I randomly picked a class from Jeff or JB every year.
I stopped in Oct. 2030 (would’ve liked to run it past that but oh well).

So, without further ado, here are the marquee players of this year’s NBA

BULLS, won 3 championships (2026-2027-2029) and lost in 2 finals (2024-2028):

        - Jakarr Mason (26 yrs old, 97 ovr.) : the star of this year. It was a blessing to pick him 2nd and he’s the main reason why the Bulls won 3 championships and had so much success. LeBron signed with the team in 2026 and named him «*King Jakarr*». 2x MVP, 3x Finals MVP, 6x All Star, 6x 1st All-NBA, 1x 3rd All-NBA, 2x DPOY

        - Jermaine Rhodes (23 yrs old, 82 ovr.) : 2nd best player I’ve drafted with the Bulls, he had his role, really great defender. But that was it.

        - Tarik Little (21 yrs old, 77 ovr.) : Was fun to play with. And was a great defensive presence during those championship runs. Unfortunately, didn’t get to see how he developed.

        SPURS, won 1 championship (2028) and lost in 1 final (2029) :

        - Darko Jovic (25 yrs old, 95 ovr.) : Lots of picks for the Spurs. And the best one being Jovic. He was lethal as a 3pts shooter, and pretty clutch. However I found him a little underwhelming vs Mason. He was good, but not great and played a little bit under his overall. 1x Finals MVP, 3x All Star, 3x 1st All-NBA, 1x 3rd All-NBA

        - Brayden Gilchrist (24 yrs old, 92 ovr.) : He was low-key the best player for the Spurs. So tall and his playmaking ability was off the charts. Strange fit with Jovic who also was a great playmaker. His resume is less than impressive though. 2x All Star
        - Tobias Thorpe (23 yrs old, 88 ovr.) : Could’ve been a great one. He played over his overall and was really athletic. He managed to single handedly shut down Mason in 2028 Finals.

        - Corey Qualls (25 yrs old, 87 ovr.) : Pretty important part of this Spurs team. He was injured during 2029 Finals and it really affected the team. Sebastian Fall tried to take his place, but he didn’t have the same success as Qualls in 2028. His mid range game was lethal and he had that SWAG.

        - Sebastian Fall (21 yrs old, 86 ovr.) : Played mostly as a 6th man, and really embraced the role. He took a lot of shots, and when it was falling it was falling, but it also was a double edged sword. I was not impressed with him during 2029 Finals.

        - DJ Cleaves (25 yrs old, 79 ovr.) : I took him over Jonquel Swift… Thought he was going to be the next Duncan. Was serviceable, good defensive role player, but that was it.

AROUND THE LEAGUE :

        - Jamari Dotson (21 yrs old, 83 ovr.) : Unfortunately, he didn’t get the chance to develop into the player he could be. Was drafted 1st overall by the Nets in 2028 and was starting to breakthrough at 25PPG last year.

        - Adam Majok (21 yrs old. 80 ovr.) : That guy won ROTY, and has 2 straight all-defensive NBA, drafted 6th overall by the Sonics, will probably be a force down the road.

        - DeeDee McDyess (22 yrs old, 94 ovr.) : I WOULD’VE loved to see him grow. He was drafted 1st overall by the Pelicans, already is a 3x All-NBA, 2x All Star, he was becoming a force and could’ve been a multiple times MVP winner.

        - Luis Kuzma (22 yrs old, 83 ovr.) : Unimpressive beginning of career for Kuzma, drafter 2nd overall by the Jazz. Nothing on his resume.

        - Da’Sean Walker (23 yrs old, 83 ovr.) : He was a «*bust*» since he was drafted 1st overall. But was a pretty good player nonetheless. He’s a 2x All-NBA, 2x All-Defense. Played 1 season with the Spurs (traded for him as I needed a big man)

        - Jonquel Swift (24 yrs old. 92 ovr.) : My biggest regret. I had the chance to take him and went with Cleaves. He was great during his time with the Rockets, was drafter 9th overall. 1x NBA champ 1x MIP, 1x All-Defense. Will be great (41 badges so far)

        - Isaac Ejiofor (25 yrs old, 90 ovr.) : Was drafted 16th by the Thunder, boy what a pick. 1x NBA champ, 1x All Star, 1x All-NBA and 1x All-Defense. Was a little bit behind other in the stacked Thunder team, but then went on to signed with the Cavs and was fantastic. What a dunker he is !

        - Brody Wallace (26 yrs old, 84 ovr.) : Wallace is in the same boat as Walker. He’s a bust considering his draft position. But he has a solid career. 3x All Star, 6x All-NBA, 3x All-Defense. Was drafter by the Hornets who didn’t have much success, but he was good every time I played him. Still, so happy that they drafted him, there’s no comparison between him and Jakarr.

ALL IN ALL it was a great year, again.
I drafted pretty well, got luck in the lottery.

If I had to rank the 3 best players in my time with 2k23 :

        1. King Jakarr
        2. DeeDee McDyess
        3. Brayden Gilchrist

THANKS for the great experience this year, and off to 2K24 we are !

Man I love the feedback, thank you! When I close out a MyNBA I always just simulate until all those guys end up retired, just so I can see how they finish their careers.

Unfortunately I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be making classes or not next year. If I do pull the trigger, I don’t think I’ll be able to make the scouting reports happen. Just too much of a time commitment.

I’m hoping I inspired some other people to get out here and carry the torch like BigDougswan, JB, and simworld (before whatever they’re doing now lol) inspired me to start making classes. In a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to do this and could just roll with the 2k classes.

Even if you don't do the scouting reports, you should still create some! With Crossplay this upcoming year, we'll be able to mix the best of PS5 and Xbox all together! Even if its just remakes of this previous years classes you made!

                I agree !

I know scouting report is really time consuming, just fictional draft classes that we can use is already great. Hopefully you will do some this year too :-)

They've actually put in cross-play for created roster like ATD. Out of town so can't check, wonder if it's the same for draft classes.

Someone mentioned it in JBs post but if you do decide to make classes, just use your classes from last season. Think last season JB and your classes were the best they've been. Hopefully cut down on time needed to think about all this.

Wouldn’t save me too much time tbh. With the system I had I made every player have certain tendencies that were universal, and then adjust up or down. Sort of winged it lol. From a scouting report perspective it would save time.

I just wish they would let us carry over draft classes. That’s my ultimate wish.

Probably going to take me a few months but thinking of copying your class into excel and copying over to 24 for my own enjoyment. really enjoying the gameplay in 24 and might stick to that for awhile. think you and JB are my favorite draft class creators and I know y'all won't be doing this forever [emoji24].

personally to me yeah. now a LOT of this is i'm using the ATD roster while they're making edits and it's looks good. in a weird way tuning out all that tendency far from certain players with the ProPlay additions, unless 25 is just that much better i may stick to this year. Especially if they're honest about updating players ProPlay animations throughout the season.

They're bugs all over the place like every year, but gameplay wise i don't have too many major complaints. Perfect example is last year Embiid and Zion were two players that i could never get to dominate ingame or in season sims. Not an issue this year.

you kept saying UC San Diego when it’s clearly San Diego St you were referring to as they are in the mountain west. pretty big error you made there buddy. just letting you know

MASSIVE ERROR. Some would argue game breaking. Idk how it took you nearly two full years to find this massive mistake. Thank you for pointing it out!
