Jerryd Odom - The Unheralded Guard from Texas A&M

Jerryd Odom, a name that was barely a whisper in the high school recruiting circles, has blossomed into one of the most intriguing NBA-ready prospects in the upcoming draft. Standing at a modest 6'2", Jerryd defied the odds and skeptics every step of the way on his journey to collegiate stardom.

The journey began at the University of South Florida, where Jerryd arrived as a freshman with a chip on his shoulder. As a 2-star recruit, he was used to being underestimated, but he wasted no time in silencing the doubters. Averaging an impressive 7.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game in his debut season, he showcased his remarkable playmaking abilities and defensive prowess.

Jerryd's path eventually led him to the bright lights of Texas A&M, where he assumed the role of the Aggies' starting point guard in the fiercely competitive SEC. It was here that he truly began to shine and capture the attention of scouts around the league.

What sets Jerryd apart is his unique blend of skills that draws comparisons to NBA veterans like Rajon Rondo and Ricky Rubio. Like Rondo, he possesses an uncanny ability to read the game and make plays on both ends of the floor. His court vision is sublime, and he has a sixth sense for setting up his teammates for easy buckets.

Defensively, Jerryd is a relentless force, constantly hounding opponents and getting his hands on loose balls. His athleticism is a valuable asset, allowing him to finish at the rim with ease despite his size. He is the embodiment of a true "dog" on the defensive end, never shying away from the toughest assignments.

Admittedly, Jerryd has areas of his game that need improvement, most notably his 3-point and mid-range shooting. But what he lacks in shooting prowess, he more than makes up for with his basketball IQ and tenacity.

What makes Jerryd Odom stand out as one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the draft is his readiness to contribute on both ends of the floor. His defensive prowess and playmaking abilities are transferable skills that are highly sought after in the modern NBA. Teams looking for a gritty, hard-nosed guard who can impact the game without needing to score in bunches will find Jerryd Odom to be an invaluable addition to their roster.

As the draft approaches, Jerryd Odom's story serves as a testament to the power of determination and the potential for greatness in even the most underrated of prospects. His journey is a captivating one, and NBA teams would be wise to keep a close eye on this unheralded gem from Texas A&M.

Let's goooooooo. Can't wait to download. What formulas do you use for ratings if any? Wondering so I can alter my draft classes, that way users will have consistent classes, if they so choose to use both of ours

I am using the same baseline tendencies and attribute ratings that Celtic applies in his ATD roster. I would start there.

                      My Draft went
                      Harrington
                      Jeffries
                      Byars
                      House
                      Gray
                      Martin
                      Blackwell
                      Taylor
                      Copeland
                      Bilic
                      Fofana
                      Odom
                      Wennington
                      Vugrinec
                      Phillips
                      Rivers

Only surprise compared to the mock draft was Phillips going after Niko.

Would love to see a second draft class OR see someone's draft class who has writeups.

Been using this DC and I have to say, sincere thanks for the work and detail. One of the best DCs I’ve ever used in 2K (across all years). Would love to see more of these in the future!
