And defensive settings regarding post double teams literally do nothing.
Pretty frustrating watching Ewing or Olajuwon just eat inside while the defending team stays home and leaves the post defender on an island (unless it's a positional mismatch).
This was certainly not the case a week or so ago, and I am comprehensively testing this game. Something has changed.

We should have a double team slider or at least the help defense coach slider should incorporate post double teams.
      Grrrr.

I have trial and errored this issue all day. Lowering defenders inside defense and strength attributes to see if this triggers the AI to double. But so far no luck.
I am seeing Shaq get regular double teams. So .....
Confused?? Maybe he is hardcoded to be doubled in the post. No idea...
Have you started noticing that after the last September 26th patch?

        Not sure.
        It's confusing.
Yesterday I saw jokic being consistently doubled playing the lakers (kareem is C) but on the other end, Kareem was rarely if ever doubled?
I have watched games where olajuwon and ewing are not doubled while they continuously score in the post?
I have tested by dropping their defenders inside defense and strength way down but still no consistent double. Unless it's a positional mismatch, like a guard is switched on to them.

I can't make much sense of it other than perhaps there is some under the hood coding.

maybe its a certain playbook, since you said ACE is tied to it?

Probably I'm making a stupid question but do they all have 99 or so in Post Control? And maybe have some powerful badges like Paint Prodigy and Post-Up Poet ?

              Yes.

I'm not sure what triggers the post double teams.
              I can't work it out.
              Annoying but....oh well.

              I have uploaded my roster.
Along with the sliders I am using predominantly for cpu v cpu games.
And I have uploaded a myleague scenario.
So you can jump into a league the way it's meant to be played.

Go and check the thread I created for details.

I find if you use the ‘65 Celtics playbook and load a saved playbook, the defenders will give up a lot of room against their marked man but this also unlocks alot of animations I’ve never seen on the court.

Re: Att: Roster makers. (Some findings and observations)

                  FYI.

I discovered a few weeks ago that a players weight has a direct influence on if they are doubled in the post.

I was frustrated at post scorers not being doubled unless the mismatch was clear.

I tried changing badges, strength attributes etc... but none of this had an effect.
As a last ditch hail mary, I upped the weight of olajuwon and put him in the same matchup (if memory serves it was amare Stoudemire) where he wasn't being doubled. And viola. Immediately I noticed doubles.
So i tested other post scorers before and after a weight rise. And the results are clear to me.

If you want a particular player to be doubled in the post. Up his weight 50 -75lbs more than his opponent and you will see them.

                  Strange game logic with NBA2k.

Yes, this has long been the reason Ben Simmons is so aggressive offensively when he's a Point Guard. The game uses Height and Weight to calculate mismatches. Gotta remember 2K was developed in the Shaq era.

....some test...assign to Knicks 88-89 Pistons Playbook

                          ...or give weight to ANT....

In both case CPU start to double ANT in the Post....with Pistons playbook Knicks defense start to treat ANT as he was MJ....protecting the paint.

Just giving weight as Nogster noted will "trigger" more double teams on post.

                          Really nice finds here Nogster

...also look on how on late game situation Randle "close" the paint as ANT beat Di Vincenzo......this is what I want at least for playoff games...

On stock....ANT was spamming the paint with zero defense from CPU....
