    Stumpy's NBA 2K26 CPUvCPU & Simulation Sliders

    Stumpy's 2K26 CPUvCPU & Simulation Sliders
The goal of these sliders is to provide a realistic feeling broadcast experience between two CPU teams, otherwise known as "watching" a game. Included are simulation sliders, i.e. sliders used when simming through a game instead of watching, that aim to provide similar statistical results to both real life and the CPUvCPU games. Sliders will be updated as adjustments are made. Recommended Coach Settings are also included. Feel free to provide any feedback on what you're noticing in your own games. New versions will include larger changes.

VERSION 1 (09/01/2025) New tweaks (09/01) give a solid baseline but more refining is needed. Subsequent versions, after about a week, will be listed separately.
    • MyNBA Settings File Name: 'Stumpy MyNBA V1'
    • CPU Sliders File Name: 'Stumpy CPUvCPU V1'
    • Note: I am using the 'Smartest' option for the Simulation Speed settings. (this is new for 2K26)
    • Issues: too many kick-outs on drives with an open lane; fouling/FTs incredibly rare, and difficult to increase

    CPUvCPU (updated 09/01/25)

CPUs have a tendency to sink very far into the paint leaving the corners open, resulting in consistent open threes and sometimes the ball handlers run from the top of the key all the way to the outside shoulder of the corner guy instead of cutting which is normally a turnover. Ive been fixing it a bit myself but thought Id share. (without coach settings for the corner 3 thing).

I've noticed this too, and I'm also having issues with pace of play and fouls. A lot of shot clocks come down to the final seconds and even with fouls maxed out there are not nearly as many as there were in 2K25.

Stumpy is this just a copy and paste from last year cause you have "Shot Coverage Impact: 32" in your sliders, but there is no such slider this year in 2k26.

Good catch, I removed that. I copy and pasted the final set from last yr but changed Game Speed down to 52. Doing lots of testing this weekend and then Version 1 will be updated, because right now it's not that close to being a good set.

I have a question, why do you make CPU vs CPU sliders? Aren’t they useful for Player vs CPU? I don’t know how to play very well, but I love when it looks as realistic as possible and I’m looking for simulation. Would these work? Thanks.

I do a yearly 2K MyNBA series on my YouTube channel, and the way I play is essentially playing as the GM & Owner of the team, so instead of playing the games I will just watch a few each year with CPUvCPU as if its a normal broadcasted NBA game, this way my influence is solely on the teambuilding aspect. The rest I will usually simulate. I really only play the game when I'm in the REC with friends.

I really have no idea if these will work well with Player vs CPU

The sliders work great. I do CPU v CPU but sometimes I player lock onto one position, and run plays and let my teammates do alot of the shooting and playing. If they throw me the ball and I'm open I'll take a shot.

Works out great though. I wish there were more shooting fouls.

Something else to note if you haven’t already, players hesitate to take inside shots, they drive and either mostly pass out to corner or do anything but take a layup/dunk if there’s someone near the paint.

I've noticed this too, it's happening way too often. About to update the sliders including increasing Take Inside Shot to 95, but even then it is still happening fairly often.
