I've been playing 2k b-ball since the beginning on my dreamcast, I've never had so much trouble like 2k14. The CPU is dominant in every facet.

I used these slider, they are similar to what I use every year, and I always get great gameplay. I just played a game with these and it was ridiculous, I must really suck.

Bucks at Knicks:

I lost 146-97, the CPU shot 78% to my 40% and took 35 more shots than I did thanks to their stealing every single pass I made in the second half. On breakaways I was missing wide open layups, and the Knicks went 1-18 from 3-pt land.

I do not blame the sliders, 2K makes it impossible to beat the CPU and the third quarter dominance they exhibit in every game is unrealistic. It is virtually impossible to slow the cpu on defense, every player in the league (except for mine) passes like Magic Johnson and I cant make a simple pass without it being picked off. Also, forget about keeping them in front of you on D, they shimmy and shake and break to the hoop over and over and over.

I run plays and execute them perfectly, but when my player goes for the uncontested layup it rims out or somehow flies into the stands.

Sorry, just venting, I cannot enjoy this game this season.

Bellz if you're on the PS4 you should stream one of your games and link it here so we can see exactly what is happening for a team to score 146 points. That's crazy. I lost 82-76 to the Bulls last night using the Heat. I'm confused as to how you lost by that much.

I can see how he lost by that much. I played the same game as he did and couldnt even finish it. Caron Butler was a sharpshooter and would not miss a shot. He was also 3 for 3 from downtown. I think 3pt slider needs to go down one notch, blocking for both needs to go down and I think play passing lanes needs to go down a lil bit. Just my opinion but I do like this as a base and I will adjust to my skill level.

Caron Butler was unstoppable. Like I said, I have never been beaten this badly.

I just played it again and was up 14-10 with 5:09 to play in the 1st and feeling good that it was a realistic game. The CPU got angry and went on a 31-15 run and ended the quarter up 41-25. They hit their last 15 shots and were unstoppable from downtown. Maybe the Bucks are secretly amazing.

I'm really going to give up. Just got owned as New Orleans. Lost 112-90. It's not even the sliders, I was 7-14 from 3 in the first half, 1-11 in the second. The CPU just locks it down. I ran every play and had 13 open layups, I missed them all. I'm turning the human close shot and inside shot up to 65 just to see if there's anyway to actually make the open layups.

I played with NY and Butler makes everything like hes MJ..but they only dropped 90 on me thanks to Mayo as well

No I'm using NOLA right now. There is a thread here on OS about the CPU lockdown, and it's a lot of pages. Just a bad game this year I think.

I don't get what is happing and you guys game i played a Bucks vs Bobcats(me) Finnish the game 83-91 Butler had 18 and lead the way for the bucks not bad the D does get tougher as the game progress but thats real basketball IMO watch any NBA game and you can see the D stepping up late in games this set is meant to be hard and real challenge if you read his points they help and remember timeouts are your best friend

What has worked for me is slowing the game speed down to 40. Still the CPU gets a little crazy in the second half. I was beating Sacramento in a very fair game until the 4th quarter where OPEN layups do not go in. That has nothing to do with an NBA team locking down late in a game. Also I went 3-10 from the free throw linein the 4th, also not a case of a team locking down. Running accurate plays has helped though.
