i hate this game and sliders, the cpu just keeps scoring at will, than our team defense is confused, and too much paint points, just to much points period, im fustrated like heck man

Right there with you. Getting owned by the 76ers with Miami.

CPU defense is so strong. Players awareness is just leaps and bounds over my guys. Not to mention how tight their man to man is vs my guys. My guys are often lost on the court.

HATE getting THIS frustrated. I want to enjoy this game so badly, but I can only seem to enjoy 1 every 6 or 7 quarters I play.

How are your moves? I mean do you constantly drive? What kind of drive moves do you employ? Can you do double crosses double between the legs call for screens and different ones instead of the same?

How about when you attack the basket? Do you always hold turbo and go straight at the basket for a dunk or layup? Do you employ the euro step, hop step, spin attacks?

Just asking because I used to have a good amount of trouble getting by guys until literally practicing these moves and if nothing else I can usually get a foul call. The biggest piece of advice I can give on offense though is be completely selfless(I know ironic because you are the whole team but you know what I mean) I pass so much to the point of committing all the turnovers I do trying to get a really open shot when I should often just take my slight opening but it creates things.

Also cut way way back on your use of turbo when moving about, try to avoid it until after you get your space or on the breaks cause it makes it harder to get by guys.

In defense the two things that actually made my defense something you could call defense was to stop using L2 unless you have stopped the man with the ball or are trying to deny your man the ball, can't say it enough L2 will kill your defense!

Also stop switching on defense! I know you want to make the play but your man will not react like your brain is, you switching to him is just going to force a delay that allows the cpu to kill you not to mention create a lack of user fouls. Let the ai control your big men instead of switching and pulling them out of position. The best shots I've found to control is either the SF or SG positions.

Playing off ball d allows you to tip and deny passes and actually makes defense more relaxing and enjoying for me because your not constantly worrying what you have to do next, you already know stick your man!

Just a few tips that have helped me this year, but mainly try just starting in front your man with the left stick only if your not already it drastically improved my d.

Ok this is a double kinda test, one I was trying to see what Miami was about to see if I could feed some more advice Hedges way and to test my contest shots/shooting fouls sliders at 100.

Things I've noticed about Miami first(this is with real player so could differ slightly).

Gauge LeBron from deep early, LeBron was off from 3 early and I kept going there when it was open and that was a big mistake. I've had games before where he killed from deep so that's why I kept going to it. But I would advise to take a few with him from deep and if he's off then drop it for the rest of the game. Same goes with Wade as he liked it from deep in this one

Also don't forget it's Miami go for steals push the ball hard after missed shots turnover ect. Also I would advise not pushing it up with LeBron if possible to keep the oop open for him, unless wade is running with you and vice versa.

To feed of that one don't forget the oop, I threw a couple from fairly far out in this one too LeBron and wade but mainly LeBron for easy opportunities.

Also my favorite shot in 2k since I learned it on 2k11 the shimmy shake turnaround. Or the Kevin Garnett signature sitshot as most know it. It's deadly with this team. LeBron and Bosh hit it with good regularity and if you've seen actual Heat games Wade is Kobe-esque with it. If you don't know how to do it it's good R2 and hold the right stick diagonally down left/right. Most players have an early release with it so don't hold it long.

Now to the game, I could've probably pulled it out but I was really trying to see what Miami was about in this one so I'll dive more into that part in the future games. Something I did notice was they hit almost everything inside was kinda crazy actually haven't really seen that lol.

Fouls were pretty good in this one the Bulls actually got into the bonus with 3+ minutes left in the 3rd and I followed shortly after, and they also got into the bonus really late in the fourth.

Thanks so much for your feedback.

I will give them another shot. I am trying to learn how to play the game better. I just, don't have a basketball mind and have trouble executing things in true "sim" fashion.

I'm not ready to give the game up, since it's the only game i'll have until The Show drops lol. I'll provide some feedback tonight after playing some more.

Well just got kicks to test some foul stuff with only playing one player I turned human help defense strength up to 100, didn't really see to much of a difference though they kinda played harder inside defense.

The big change was turning inside and close shot success down to 40 for both cpu and use human, it was kinda a two part thinking in that of course reducing PIP but was thinking maybe if you weren't as successful inside maybe it would result in more fouls didn't really pan out.

Though something I noticed in this game you know when you are working inside and you make your first move of an up and under or such then you flick the stick to actually shoot it and draw a foul, well I watched the cpu continuously do that first move and dish it out instead of putting it up. Seems if that would happen less they would also draw more fouls.

I have user strength at 100 and CPU at 40 and it helps with all the bumping and the out of position sliding the CPU does.
All my fouls are 100 and I occasionally get fouls called when the CPU is out of position but slide into good defensive position.

PIP sucks for me. I use SAC Kings and Cousin shoots around 40% from inside the paint against bad or smaller defenders. A lot of times he can't score on much smaller defenders yet every PF & C on 76'ers and below avg post players score too easy on me in the paint.
It must be a game issue because my controls don't respond against the CPU in the paint.

I played the 76'ers and I couldn't score in the paint at all. They had me shooting 3's but the terrible catch animations made most of them contested.

My team was clueless the entire game: I had limit parameter shots yet my team kept leaving shooters open all game long.

I had 18 turnovers and 12 was canned animation passes or my player throwing the ball off defender. I probable only had 5 bad passes rushing but passing is so delayed for some reason.
2K has terrible animations to catch the ball on easy passes, the player goes into a sliding or skating across the floor missing the pass.

Another game, another loss. Only played a handful of FULL games. Have yet to win a single game. I will say I laid off the turbo, and didn't bring the ball up with James nearly as much, also played almost entire game as Battier (guarding Martin) and was very pleased with how I/we played. Tough loss, but not super furious like usual lol

Turnovers my man turnovers, gotta cut back on them a Lil bit. This game looks a lot better though, looks like you might need to attack the basket a bit more. Even if there are some defenders in the lane if you can get anywhere beside your man then euro step or hop step layup to the hoop to try and draw the foul.

Try these few changes I've made for a game or two and see how you like them.

Lower human and cpu inside and close shot success to 40.

Raise human help defense to 100 .

Also try controlling either one of the guard positions of the SF and leave the big man defense to the ai.

I'm gonna be releasing a tendency edited version of Cams roster in just a bitand could really use your guys help testing it as I don't have enough time to get all the games in myself.

You don't to go crazy or anything just a game or two would really help out.
