It is quite random to be frank. But I felt this would give the league a little more risk and reward and also makes you ficus on your individual training assignments.

Just so everyone knows I am still playing and tweaking these. Particularly paying attention to CPU tendencies foul sliders and CPU shooting sliders.

    We are almost there.

Re: Armor & Swords NBA 2K15 Pro/Sim/Real FG/FT% "Average Joe" Sliders

I have a question for the guy that made this sliders. Did you find the game to be a lot harder after the patch? Did you have to make big changes after the patch? Before the patch I was playing with sliders of my own on pro and I found the game to be slightly to easy so I thought about trying all star. I played sever games and saw that all star was to hard so I went back to pro. After the patch though I am getting frustrated has pro now fells like all star before the patch. Sinces the patch came out I have lost like 14 games in a row on pro and each game I have lost by like 19 or more. I play has the lakers so I know that things are not going to be easy but to lose 14 games in a row and for not even one of those games to be close. I am at the point where I fell like giving up on the game or going back to before the patch or something.

Before the patch I felt like there was not enough contact inside and that was part of why there where not enough fouls and why it was a little to easy. Now with the patch I fell like there is a little to much contact and I also fell like my guys are missing to many easy layups witch I didn't see before. I am finding that my guys 3 point shooting has been worse with the patch to. I just had a game where I was 7/25 28% on 3's even though they where almost all wide open 3's. Also the patch was supposed to make d better but I fell like it has made d worse has it semeds like it is harder to stay in fornt of guys then it was before something I am not that good at to begin with. Also with the patch I am seeing less mistakes by the CPU. Last game the CPU had only 6 turnovers and the game before that just 4. Finally I fell like the CPU is playing the passing lanes more and getting more steals and defecting to many passes. Last game I had 21 turnovers and 17 yes 17 where on steals and a lot of them where on plays where I had a guy wide open but some how the CPU was able to deflect the pass.

You do a great job with the sliders and with interacting with the community to get feedback. The issue here is, the patch changed the game play dramatically and some things need s really hard tweak.

Give me your thoughts on what needs a hard look at to tweak.

The game plays a lot better post patch IMO. The sluggishness is gone. Playing defense is far better than it was pre-patch. CPU takes the right amount of 3 pointers for the most part. Fouls are great now at the settings I have IMO. Some games are whistle tests, some are not, some are balanced. I love that variety. The NBA is inconsistent. I also feel like the star players are being treated like stars by the ref's for th most part. Rebounding IMO is balanced, put backs are now realistic and the CPU will pass the ball out of a offensive rebound and reset more often than before where every single one was an automatic put back. Getting box out position is critical too. You really have to fight on the glass.

But I am curious on your feedback in regards to what your seeing and feeling on this slider set post patch. I think this set is so close to being what I want for my skill level, but it still needs some final tweaks.

I find 2K the hardest game to develop sliders for (for me at least to fit my skill level as the game is already tough to begin with). Match-ups drive basketball. It is the heart and soul of the game itself.

Some games I can dominate, some I struggle and this game demands on the fly adjustments quarter to quarter. It is superbly deep in regards to in-game management with your defensive settings, running offensive sets and understanding how to exploit match ups on the floor and band aid your own weaknesses the CPU will exploit. The AI on the game is top notch IMO.

Thank you for the constructive and insightful feedback. That is exactly the kinds of posts I read and respond to.

I agree with your points here completely, the AI is amazing. Usually I find a good slider set and teak to my own likes/needs. Your set pre-patch was perfect for me, I had extremely realistic games and was playing slightly above .500 ball with a decent team.

Post patch, I still love this set but the two areas that I cannot seem to tweak are the sheer discrepancy in shots attempted (it's usually 100+ for the CPU and about 75-80 for me) leading to incredibly high scoring games (CPU is usually in excess of 120 in regulation) and the turnovers.

I cannot seem to get the turnover stat to be more even. Because the turnover ratio is so unbalanced, I think it leads to the incredible shot discrepancy. If the CPU takes it away 20 times a game and I take it away 3 or 4, they are going to have way more offensive sets.

It could be that I simply suck playing D, I try to never press the steal button (reach in fouls make me insane). In past iterations of the game I was able to get the sliders to a point where my team would have more takeaways and thus some fast breaks. Right now I cannot seem to get this right.

I hope you don't think I'm complaining, I'm really trying to tweak the game to my liking and I like to brainstorm with a slider master.

I will get back with you on some findings after playing the next 5-6 games in my Heat Chise. Right now I am struggling just like the real life Heat as you can see in my signature. So I am getting what I think are great games so far. But, I am not 100% satisfied just yet.

Further playing needs to be done to digest this patch and work out some settings. I would start in your case by turning down the hand attribute for the CPU by 5 clicks and go from there. Turnovers are killing you.

I played both pre and post patch versions of your sliders. I really like them. The only thing I'm seeing is more scoring post patch. I equate this of course to free throws. Can you look into effects of the scoring sliders some? I am using the sim world roster but have been hooked on your sliders since the start.

On the air.....I have 7 of my last 10 so I have been in a great groove. I just ran the Grizzlies off the court in a shocker.

Let's see if I don't let down vs the Magic.

The stream can give you a clear look at my playing style and why the sliders work for me. It's all about your style and skill level. I am not the greatest player.

These changes have been made to the CPU sliders.

It has helped bring their scoring more in line:

                              Offensive Rebounding - 50/45 (-5 for CPU)
                              Defensive Rebounding - 50/47 (-3 CPU)
                              Offensive Consistency - 50/46 (-4 CPU)

I also dialed down their offensive and defensive rebounding to reign in the shot attempts.

They feel really nice here and player ratings are mattering even more. So crappy teams will struggle. Elite will be elite.

Just doing those adjustments has changed the CPU's game for the better...big time.

I am very happy with the results so far. More missed shots and hey sometimes it looks crazy on the missed shot at close range but remember contact alters shots.

                                Fouls feel perfect for me.

                                Rebounding seems on point.

                                Loving the game.
