I am going to try these sliders out tomorrow. I'm also a fan of CPU vs CPU watching. I have been experimenting mostly with the foul sliders. I have been struggling with them because of the fact that in the NBA last year alone the lowest average of fouls per game for a team was 18. Hopefully in many of the games with these sliders it will average out correctly stat wise.

I'm not setting these two against each other - just comparing.

What I found is that they both got about the same final result but got there differently.

What I did was take my two fantasy teams saved MyLeagee so they were in the same-part of the schedule and played two identical games but with each set of sliders. The results were interesting.

      Final Score

      112-105 (KM) and 112 - 94 (BK)

      FGA 161 KM / 170 BK
      FG% .527 KM / .470 BK
      3pt 11-30 KM / 13-24 BK
      FT 36-49 KM 33-49 BK
      Assist 37 KM / 43 BK
      ORB 12 KM / 9 BK
      DRB 69 KM / 86 BK lower FG%
      Steals 11 KM / 16 BK
      Blocks 6 KM / 10 BK
      TOs 19 KM / 23 BK
      Fouls 26 KM / 27 BK

So basically the same - no REAL difference except less but more accurate shots for KM, more, less accurate shots BK

      As for the actual shots

      KM
      Inside 36-48 .750
      Middle? 28-63 .444
      Outside 10-20 .500
      3Pt 11-30 .366

      BK
      Inside 31-54 .574
      Middle? 23-60 .383
      Outside 13-33 .393
      3Pt 13-24 .541

NOTE - one team had very poor defense and the score was a little elevated then my normal games

So what does that tell you? Not a freaking clue but you now you can start to tweak to your hears content.
Could you tell me the personnel for each team? This is a huge factor that needs to be taken into consideration. Each player has tendencies and this will effect where they are shooting from on the floor. Also, for this game that you posted the the two stats, could you post individual player field attempts/makes?

This is another game of me testing BK's sliders with the speed changed to 45.

Idk if it was just two really bad defenses going up against each other but the FG% in these games was much higher. Maybe lowering the game speed to give the game less possessions means you complete more possessions?

Here is the shot chart from that game as well. I do have screenshots of both box scores saved if anybody wants to see them but in short the top 6 scorers for the Lakers all had above 60% fg.

kingmonkey - that is asking a LOT, I wish there was an easier way to just take a snap shot. I understand what you are looking for but then you have to take into account who they are playing against and how many minutes.

Both were fantasy teams and the players probably were not playing optimum strategy with the team they were now playing for (Bucks vs. Trailblazers).

Ar4bAce - how did you get such a nice looking shot chart???

that is a lot of points. Normally BKs sliders have a lower FG%.

this is a problem we are running into since we can't "Sim" a lot of games and each game cane be so different with the talent. it gets to a point where we have to go by feel with small tweaks we might not even see work in the short run.

Unlike 90% of the people on here I play on the Xbox. So with the take a screenshot feature I can go to xbox.com and retrieve the photo and upload it.

                Sweet feature.

OK - I started my REAL My League. 81(2?) games. My fantasy draft was all about looks! LOL I have 13 odd looking players. I love OJ Mayo's hair!

What I'm going to do is tweak the original post with my personal tweaks from observing games. I hope KingMonkee does the same with his sliders but I also wonder if there is a difference between CPU vs. CPY and SIMCAST LIVE.

You would THINK it's the same but I've thought that on other things.

Going to bed and out of touch tomorrow. It's half time in a REALLY good game! 13 lead changes.

After doing some testing last night on bkelly sliders I decided to have a crack at an idea I had and I've done a couple test games I'll upload the box scores, team comparison and shot chart after this game and my new trial set if you guys are interested.

The best coach mode in 2k currently is the same as last years. Play MyGM and start a game like normal and unplug your controller at tip off then plug it back in. Boom. Cpu vs. Cpu with full start menu coach controls.

                        full start menu coach controls.
What does that actually mean ???

shaunhill18 - getting close I say yes . . basically! Average score is normally upper 90s with variations depending on team and so forth.

Hey guys. I don't know if any of you are aware, but on MyLeague you can spectate without any hassle.

You have three options. Franchise, season and online. Franchise is an 80 year mode, season is one (seems somewhat pointless given the addition of franchise) and online is... Well it's online.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting this is because I've noticed people talking about having to use second controllers or switching teams after the game starts in MyGM. You don't need to in MyLeague. Neither of those things are necessary in MyLeague.

Rest assured that franhise has everything that MyGM has, apart from cutscenes. Think of it as a sandbox owner mode!

Yea, thanks AlexFord - we're all good CPU vs.CPU - I think the questions were using MyGM where you have that 2 controller thing! MyLeague you can so somethings BEFORE the game but then it's up to the coach to do the work.

In SOME ways it's good if you want to play a REAL full season as you really don't need to watch ALL the game if you ave to go out. But then if you want to "coach" you can't. Personally I think SIMCAST LIVE is lame but that is my personal opinion. Tried it and it held zero interest for me.
