So can you call plays and all that stuff as well
Darn good question - Whatever you could do in SimCast Live . . . . I had some issues with double teaming last night but I'm not sure if it's because I don't know the PS4 version of this game or maybe somethings to come over.

YES! You can still call plays. It's like it was back in NBA 2K11 when you had full control of all coaching options and watch the players execute them on the court.

Thanks and big ups to BloOd_SMeaR_ and Grinder12000 for giving us coach mode guys back our game!

Anybody seeing any large differences between CPU vs CPU watching and Coach Mode?

I know I was 8-4 watching the Bucks and am 0-3 getting blown out Coach mode hitting 37%. Anomaly?

          Can you post your sliders?

            Grinder,

I'm a long time user of these sliders (since they first came out).

Since I started doing the "coach mode" that you posted about (for about 2 days) I have seen the same thing you're seeing. My team is getting smoked and the field goal % is low.

I think when you do the "coach mode" you're team is "user". And since we are using hall of fame or superstar game mode, that gives the "cpu" team a advantage since they are basically CPU and your team is USER (user teammates get reduced attributes when using Superstar or HOF).

That is what I was thinking but you know how randomness is with games.

hmmmm - but you would think we are using SIMCast AI the way we are getting there.

I'm not sure what to do now - although I did just win a game - shot 37% first qtr but finished nicely

Glad to hear everyone's enjoying the coach mode

As for the sliders, I'm experiencing the same thing as well. I went from 3rd in my conference to losing 9 games in a row, sitting just outside the playoff picture. I got pretty frustrated with watching my team do some stupid things, so I properly simulated the next 2 games and won both of them. Has anyone tried playing coach mode with a CPU vs. User slider set? Hopefully the issue would be resolved in doing this, as there's plenty of CPU vs. User sets on this site.

The difficulty is that you can't really SIM for results and you need to take YOUR team into account when looking at sliders. You have to be honest - is it your team SUCKS? or is it sliders!

My last game which was good I moved USER sliders for hitting baskets all up 3. I still find I miss so many layups on fast breaks it's silly. So it's down to a "feel" thing without giving myself a HUGE advantage.

We all like to win but I still want to work at it!

Re: 2K16 CPU vs. CPU (Coach Mode Lite)

I'm using the Clippers in MyGM, 2nd overall I think and sitting on 85ish% chemistry so I don't think it's a matter of whether my team sucks or not. Believe me I go for realism as well, I never planned on having my team go flawless, but losing 9 in a row giving me more losses than wins is a bit farfetched.
Since my 2 wins via simulation I've been doing something similar to what you're doing where each time I lose I increase my user sliders for hitting baskets up by 1. I'm now currently on a 3 game losing streak. I think for my next game I'm going to test out a User vs. CPU slider set. I'll let you guys know what the result is

I noticed one of the slider sims had the USER with about +5 shooting over the CPU so I'm trying that but for sure let us know if you find anything

                        Hey Everyone,

Does this "Coach" Mode work in Exhibition mode if I just want to pick up a game? Also has anybody tried these with the Historical Teams and how they play?

Going back to my days of coach mode in NBA 2K11, I've been on 'Pro' for my difficulty setting. The 'Pro' setting is the best representation of the game on coach mode because it evens the game out. The CPU nor USER has a special advantage over the other and the rating play out more fairly.

I found that PRO is too easy for my players - I can play my subs and still win with ease.

HOF is a little tougher so I'm going with ALL-Star at the moment in Real Coach mode.

Not seeing any injuries at all for MY team.

I've noticed as well. However, because PRO has a slight advantage to the user, you would have to bump up the CPU slider abilities by either one or two points. This will basically even out the advantage.

This post from three years ago explains the difficulty levels and the advantages the User or CPU has on the different levels for 2K basketball: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...82&postcount=1

I know it might be slightly different now but it's probably not that much different.

And as I explained before, even though Pro gives a slight advantage to the User, it still is the closest to even. Bump up the CPU sliders attribute ONLY(and not the other sliders like shooting or defense, etc) and the game balances out.
