Yeah everyone has a totally different game style. Id suggest to push the ball only at certain points in the game depending on matchups etc. If you push the ball and turbo down the court most the time, you wont get realistic stats.

Grinded one out versus the Nuggets. Not pushing the ball like an idiot actually helps.

Ran out of gas in this one. Tied it up at 107-107 with two minutes two and then just collapsed.
What I don't understand tho (generally speaking) is the decrepancy regarding FGA. Turnovers - sure. But that's not 20 per game. The ingame stats say I average 82.8 FGA/G, which is dead last in the league (average is ~86), while opposing teams average 98.2 per game with the average once again being 86. My 16.3 TO/G rank 30th in the league, but that's just one more than the Thunder average in real life. My pace is incredibly high tho at 107 poss. per game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
Fga comes down to a few things. First. Sliders can't do much about this. In NBA 2k, there aren't enough non shooting fouls such as travels, kick ball, etc. Hence why fga can vary like this. Also, roster plays a huge role aswell.
Lastly, the CPU does tend to take a lot of shots early in the shot clock while the user does take more of their time, hence the time in possession being out of wack sometimes. But having a good quality roster is massive. But it comes down to your gamestyle. If you push the balls every possession and turnover the ball, this is going to happen. Sliders only play a small part when it comes to fga stats, however I am continuing to focus on this area as part of having the most realistic box scores available

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
Beta 2 was sent. Still working on a few new things at the moment, including a set which will include user timing. Unsure of whether I will make them into a hybrid version, or a seperate version, OR switch over to user timing completely. Still working on it. My thoughts are User Timing for Shots, and Real % for FT to prevent cheese etc and have a balanceComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
I have to admit this is getting more and more frustrating. I'm not slow minded or whatever, but I can't win with these sliders. I'm at the point where it feels like the CPU is just ****ing with me because it can. Like giving up 19 2nd chance points to the Knicks; like giving up a combined 29 rebounds to Kyle O'Quinn and Joakim Noah; like being down 4 at the half then going 5/20 in the 3rd quarter while also missing almost 10 fts in the quarter. Like the opponent once again having 17 (!!!) more 17 fga than me.
I don't know what's wrong, but something is wrong. Maybe my roster is defective, even though it's the original 2K roster. I don't know. I don't appreciate the CPU going into cheat mode just to screw with me. The opposing teams can do stuff I can't. I get blown by close to everybody because my players don't move laterally on defense. One move and they create 3+ ft seperation just like that. None of my players know how to rotate. If I try to adjust off the ball, some fool is leaving his man and the CPU just starts cheasing lead passes.
Sigh.
PS: This is not meant as a slight to you, creweutah. This is just me ranting @2K. Like I do every year it seems.
EDIT:
Defensive assist strengh is set to 0 in my MyGM settings. How did that happen? No wonder I can't defend like this.Last edited by Pillendreher_; 01-27-2017, 06:33 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
But in terms of fun, stats, and everything else this has got to be the most realistic and fun to play slider set I've ever used in a sports game. Just something about faders in the post feels off, I swear I haven't made one in about 20 games played of myleague lolComment

I'm not going out hunting for faders or anything, say in a 12 min game I do maybe 2 or 3 or 4 of them and I ususally miss them all lol. But I know porzingis's back to basket game hasnt really developed yet and Melo is as inconsistent as it gets but I don't really think I've seen one go in yet
I'm gonna go in later and give a created player a 99 in the stat though and see whats up because the eye test is usually not rightComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
I wanna say about 15 to 20 12 minute quarter games. I noticed I was missing them quite frequently with melo and porzingis even if the defender got way off and I was wide open.

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
No harm done. Id suggest lowering the difficulty level, or trying out Pro's All Star Sliders until you adjust and improve your defence etc. This set will punish you if you try to continuously cheese the CPU. These sliders are a challenge, but in my testing and experience thus far, I don't feel cheated at all. The CPU plays organically and just like they should (in most parts)
The last NBA game with at least 110 FGA and at least 20 FTA which ended in regulation was in 1993.
I had 10 turnovers btw.
I might give other sliders a try just for comparison's sake.
EDIT: I just checked bm settings. Everything's in order.Last edited by Pillendreher_; 01-27-2017, 07:46 PM.Comment
