Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)

**** man, came back to these sliders after testing other sliders and I will say this -

These are the best sliders on these boards.

I mean damn I lost but this game was close all game until Russell got hurt. I'm using these in my Lakers Chise, second year.

The game runs so fluid and awards you when you make the right decision but also punishes you if you make a mistake

I got my Lakers to an 85 overall across the board realistically but still no match because the Jazz are just as good.

Next game against the Warriors so i doubt I'll win but I'll try my damn best

    Great work

Bought 2k on release day and hadn't really even enjoyed it that much, but with these sliders, I'm back having just as much fun as i was toward the end of 2k16.

      So bravo for making these
      Bucs, Lighting, Rays,

Means a lot hearing that. Stay tuned. I am always looking to find ways to improve them where possible.

Great boxscore, and glad you had a blast. This is exactly what I was aiming for. Fun, yet realistic, fluid gameplay.

Off Rebound difference was massive, but it happens IRL.

          Good luck against GSW

Found out GSW got rid of Kevin I guess he ran away again

However the game was tied with like 3 minutes left and they just broke loose, fun yet tough loss. And oh yeah

            That happened

              Curry just being Curry

Note: Don't think the patch has changed anything gameplay wise, at least large tweaks aren't required for now. Will most likely update the OP over the next few days with very minor changes. Stay tuned.

Thanks to everyone for the support, and I am happy that I have had a positive influence on other slider makers here too.

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)

I've been having some good games with this set. I've been playing on player lock in MyLeague and I've been playing games without player lock. Aside from some obvious problems sliders can't fix, The game is running pretty good. I'm having a variety of games. Blowouts, Super tight overtime games, Bad shooting nights, Great shooting nights...This is all using player lock but It's pretty much the same the traditional way also.

If it's one thing i suggest you not change is the jumpshot defense strength slider. It's perfect and represents real life almost flawlessly. This really brings out guys with high contested shot ratings and the difficult shots badge. guys like Durant, Harden, curry, and melo when hot they don't need but an inch of room to make you pay.

I went ahead and put the on ball d down to 0. I did this because the lateral quickness is already high enough to keep good defenders playing realistic d without being overpowering. It opens up the dribble drive and pull up game. Westbrook put up 40 points on me and i felt like i couldn't take away all his options on offense. I either had to play him for the drive or play him tight and get beat to the hoop. His jumper was on that night so he got the best of harden. This is how it plays out in real life when you have a really good rim attacker who can shoot.

I'll post some box scores after i play a couple more games. This is the best set out there right now. Good work mate! Oh and one other think i did was max out every players help d iq rating. It's not perfect but it helps a lot with how the CPU makes it's decisions on rotations.

I'm pretty new to the NBA 2k series so I'm still learning. What do you guys with the defensive matchups and defensive settings with these sliders? Is there a recommended set to follow? Thanks in advance

I would have a read up on the defensive settings thread in this forum. Also, what does help, is to head over to YouTube and watch what other people use etc. They also do a good job of explaining what each and every setting means and does.

I personally leave it to auto, but If I find a specific player is killing me, I change it to manual and implement specific settings to try and stop him.

                        Its a learning experience

Thank you very much. You basically answered my question. I've read some posts on here that say you have to set the defense settings manually to have any success. I'd love a slider set where you can keep it on auto and have your computer teammates play close to realistic NBA defense. If I have to adjust it now and then that would be fine. I'm just not a big enough fan or knowledgeable enough to know who should go under a screen, over etc. I've looked at some of the videos that talk about that, but even then I seem to have a real problem with the CPU players getting easy, and open look shots in the first ten to twelve secs on the shot clock even when it isn't a fast break and I have my defense set up. Looking forward to playing the game with these sliders.

No problems. Stick to auto. You shouldn't have any problems. Need to remember that just like real life, defensive lapses do occur
