Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
I'll try to take a screenshot later with a side-by-side comparison with 2K11's simulations. I just double-checked with it and not a single team reached the 50 rpg. If you go to NBA.com under team stats, it's basically identical. 2K17 is still solid on the court with some odd issues (ie. that screen is really cheap and it seems like you yourself inhale rebounds easily, but I still haven't tried setting edits in terms of that, plus, it looks really cool so I gave it a pass). Anyway, I'll keep on looking. I'll check with 2K15 next. Who knows.Last edited by deodorantthief1; 03-24-2017, 06:54 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
I like the fact that you take your time man. We want the best results, no hurry. Playing more and more with your sliders (about 3 games with 12min quarters/day), I could say that the dribbling is not a big issue. Even though some animations are slow, holding the sprint button can make even the big man do a nice crossover or spin. So if you really want to change some values here, do it only if you really don't mess up the TO system. The contact layup succes still needs that update IMO.
Another thing I've noticed meanwhile, teams tend to attempt too many 3s. Just a little bit more than it should. Maybe a 50 instead of a 51 for CPU tendecy to shoot the 3, while maintaing the other values at 51 could make the difference. Looking at some shotcharts, the mid-range game is somehow avoided by the CPU, no matter what team I play against. Maybe lowering that 3pt tendency from 51 to 50 will make the CPU take more mid range shots or drive more.
I will use this values for a sim game and see if it makes any difference. I will use just the 51 instead of 50 for the 3PT tendency and I will try my suggested rebound values. Will post the results later. Maybe you'll like 'em
Offtopic: For any sim freak who would like some good, realistic PoEs that go very well with this set of sliders, check my topic from NLSC: http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=224&t=103207
Thought it might help, these PoEs were great for me and they really made a difference.
Edit: The results were bad. Very bad. It seems the current beta values for the rebounding are the best for your game speed. They don't need to be touched even the slightest.
Reducing the 3PT shooting tendency didn't bring more mid-range game. The only result was that both teams were attempting 20 from the perimeter at the end of the game. One of those teams was the Warriors so the result was definitely bad. It seems your are the only one who knows how to play with the slider values to get the best results, I will leave that to you. I will give you my feedback regarding what I think it could be improved and stay a mile away from tweaking numbers myself, lol.
So for now I have the contact layup and the mid-range game on my list.
Good luck trying to get the best slider values. Really appreciate your stuffLast edited by lhatemondays; 03-26-2017, 06:31 PM.Comment

I'd like to think that small, subtle changes is the way forward and I hope it is; however a full overhaul might be needed, depending on what I see from the CPU. Will take some time. In my previous version of the experimental set on HOF, I had CPU tendencies at 35, and somehow that seemed to work OK. May re-visit this as a second option.Comment

Can I ask why are substitutions are set to manual? or is it just personal preference?Comment

Very nice feedback, thanks mate. Feel free to make relative tweaks where you see fit. You never know how it might play out.

Hey Crewe. How are you going with the beta updates? Making any progress?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Community Simulation Slider Set (HOF, Real FG%)
Played these with user timing and destroyed all teams (except cavs and warriors) so I changed it to real player % and got so many wide open threes but only a third went in.
It would've been fine unless pretty much every possession the cpu left one of my players wide open for a three and I wind up eith like 45 threes.
The problem is the amount of threes the cpu is giving to me, and I have no clue how to fix thatComment

What roster are you using? Remember, if using a custom roster, you will get wonky results, stats etc. My sliders are specifically designed for the Official 2K Roster. I am never having issues with the CPU leaving my always open for 3PAComment
