Some are contested which I get missing some but I'm seeing way too many. Then there's ones where I'll get past the defender and my player will blow the layup. It seems to happy if a defender is close to the offensive player. Same goes for close shots.

I played a few games and the cpu still passes in the paint too easy, fastbreaks are better but cpu sliding still there.

I don't know how many times I throw a good pass to a cutting player only to have the animation stop the player on a dime to allow the cpu to catch up and prevent an easy layup. The player would have a layup but a slow animation is triggered that misses the layup 90% of the time.

DEFENSE STILL SUCKS but better.

Players still run deep into the paint on defense and leaving open shooters.

Man, I couldn't have said it any better. I even edit all the defensive badges to Hall of Fame status and there is no difference what so ever. I even have tried maxing out the defense attributes to 100, nothing much changed. I'm starting to think ratings don't have that much affect because the programming isn't were it needs to be imo. I mean I can max out my guard but if I'm not him the game is going to make him sag in the paint get caught in the wash and bang wide open 3 by the cpu. Now with my edits my guard technically should be the best defensive player that ever lived lol. With all that said I still love this game.

Defence has been an issue ever since the game was released. It got worse during the earlier patches, but was improved a little over the last couple patches. I don't think it's a gamebreaking issue. Remember this. Irl, defenders leave their man open aswell, whether it's on the perimeter or in the paint. Defenders have brain fades in real life aswell. It's just the way it is.

On fast breaks, defenders WILL try and contest the perimeter by sacrificing the paint. They'd rather give up 2 points instead of 3.

I'm enjoying the game, given its flaws. It's not as bad as the middle patches (patches 1.04,05,06)

I believe my sliders give the best experience possible and I'm sure many others would agree

I enjoy the game but it's extremely frustrating!

The cpu utilizes cheat tactics to score.

Throwing passes and the defender is in great position but no steal or deflected pass.

I play moderate or sag defense yet the user defenders will get beat on back doors to much.
Play tight or smother but they leave them for wide open jumpers.
On fastbreaks user defenders run under the hoop or switch for no reason to allow the cpu to score.
Inbounds defense SUCKS too, the inbounder just runs to the basket for an easy score,

Great sliders! I'm currently 5-0 with Utah, 3rd best defense in the league.

The games are so dynamic, some are close, some are blowouts.

For example, Rudy had 22 & 22 one game, next few games 10 & 12ish range. Matchups are key with this set.

Even if you make any changes, I'm gonna stick with the current beta set. I love the organic gameplay

You can call it what you want I call it cheating. It happens too often and fouls are canned, when the cpu wants to score it rely on the same methods to score at times.

Let's agree to disagree on this one. 2k has even said many times the ai does not have an advantage. Playing on hof though can allow the cpu to seem boosted at times, but wouldn't call it cheating

If you don't mind me asking, what MyLeague sliders do you use?

I'm using a really good roster from the Signature style thread but I'm struggling to find a good MyLeague slider base that'll give me some realistic off season moves and in-season training results

I'm just wondering.

I have hands set at 65 for both teams, defensive awareness set at 95 for both teams, defensive consistency set at both teams.

But the CPU has less than 5 turnovers per game against me.

I'm still playing defense and preventing them from scoring, but I don't have many fastbreak opportunities. Meanwhile I'm a turnover machine but I'm efficient with my possessions.

I just don't get why I'm not getting deflections like the CPU is.
