Re: Eggie2.0 Slider-set Feedback Only Thread
Ok man with this latest update I think for my way of playing these are great since with Denver I won and with the wizards I lost and using the Blazers can stay us. Great job Eggie

Re: Eggie2.0 Slider-set Feedback Only Thread
Thanks for the update. Here's a back to back I played against the Bulls. Still trying to figure out the right balance here. I have recently switched to real % vs user timing as it feels better for me personally. That said, this was at user shooting 40 and CPU at 40.
Game one was super grindy against the Bulls. We ended up hitting the game winner on a Larry Sanders mid-range that I actually yelled "no" to out loud, but it somehow went in (lol).
Game two was on the road and was basically a 180 flip from the previous game. We somehow shot 54% from the field and the Bulls played pretty poorly. Lots of Wade and Butler contested jumpers that wouldn't drop.
Mainly concerned with the low scoring in these two for my opponents. Seems like my team tends to get into a rhythm and score on crazy runs that bumps our FG%. We are now 20-5 on the season and I've messed with the sliders throughout and not really finding a balance yet of competitive matchups every night. While we should maybe be blowing out the Orlando's and Brooklyn's we shouldn't be able to go on the road and crush Toronto by 30 (which happened a few games prior). I recently toned down team chemistry effects too just in case that had something to do with my teammates playing out of their minds.Comment

Also K3V, what if you try user timing but have user shooting at 37 and cpu at 40? Also try those with Real%. Let me know how they go please.Last edited by Eggie25; 05-01-2017, 03:41 PM.Comment

Thanks K3V. If you put Cpu shooting at 45 for your real% games, tell me if that feels better for you. It's time to give you some more losses lol. 20-5 has you looking like a future champion.

May also look at doing a little roster editing to make teams play more like themselves but not sure where to start.Comment

Re: Eggie2.0 Slider-set Feedback Only Thread
Thanks, I'll try those. Haven't used user timing in a while so I'm a little rusty. The two main problems are the computer putting up contested shots and my teammates playing inhumanly well at times. Hoping the bump to 45 will help the first issue but I'm afraid it will make my teammates gods.

If that is the case, then go user 37, Cpu 40Last edited by Eggie25; 05-01-2017, 04:24 PM.Comment

Re: Eggie2.0 Slider-set Feedback Only Thread
I assumed as much but I could be completely wrong. Might need to test that theory to find out exactly! If the user sliders are effecting teammates then some other sliders may need a nerf besides shooting but I'll give 37/40 a shot on real% next game and post.Comment

Re: Eggie2.0 Slider-set Feedback Only Thread
Alright, tried a few games with the new setting of User 37 CPU 40 on real %. I also did some roster tweaking for tendencies and what not based on what's in this thread http://www.operationsports.com/forum...h-ratings.html
First game was on the road to Cleveland. Greg Monroe broke his nose and is out for 2-4 weeks so we have Larry Sanders and Thomas Robinson holding it down in the middle. As such, they were outmatched this game and we took the loss. Final score was closer than the game was, at one point Cleveland lead by 21 I think. Good stuff all around.
Second game was at home against the Wizards. They were without wall who is recovering from a broken left ankle, so it was the Beal show for the most part. I think he ended up taking 35 shot attempts and it was a great SG duel but we came out with the win. As you can see our first quarter was massive in securing victory.
All in all tweaks seem to be working. I want to give it a few more games to see what the percentages end up looking like.Comment

Re: Eggie2.0 Slider-set Feedback Only Thread
I think it was the best match in nba2k17, always falling under the score but at 4:30 am from the end I did my game and did not go down anymore.
I think I have found my perfect team, very solid in defense and under the boards
Memphis ( user )
Miami ( cpu )
User timing
Shooting 37 user
Shooting 40 cpu

I've been losing games but i'm loving it because i don't feel cheated. I feel like the speed of offense vs. defense is finally balanced so the right outcomes are occurring.
3 point shooting: seems perfect. guys miss open 3s, guys make tough 3s. Guys even shoot air balls at times. The speed of the players and rotations are creating what i believe to be WIDE open shots that go in when they're supposed to and miss when they're supposed to as well. Also the right balance of "lucky makes" and "lucky misses" are occurring.
Mid range: same as above except more contested makes seem to fall which i am PERFECTLY OKAY with since it IS a closer shot than the 3 ball.
Close range/post: the bigs who are supposed to be dominant, are being dominant in the correct matchups. I am using the Celtics and Al Horford is a beast in the post when used correctly. I DOMINATED a Pacers user since Miles Turner was HELPLESS against Hordford and he HAD to send the double team. But also, i was SHUT DOWN but Miami with Whiteside as he was blocking EVERYTHING...as he should. He forced me to use Hordford on the perimeter.
Guard Perimeter play: Isiah Thomas finally feels like himself in terms of getting wherever i want on the court in the half court due to his speed/quickness advantage over most...I'm just missing the mid range shots with him. i have to learn his timing. Because he's missing shots i know he should make. Avery Bradley is LOCKING up mediocre guys on the perimeter and doing a GREAT job on superstars on the perimeter. Held James Harden to 8-10 points in 8 min qtrs (the user wasn't playing intelligently). I played a Wizards user and Wall was UNSTOPPABLE until I put Bradley on him and even then, he only slowed him down. Which is accurate based on the matchup.
Rebounding: the right outcomes are happening here as well. i don't see many guards out rebounding bigs in crowds. But rebounding guards like Westbrook are getting their share.
Turnovers: Due to the speed adjustment, I'm seeing fumbled passes at the right times from the right people in the right situations. Passes from Isiah Thomas are leading to better shots compared to Marcus Smart. Also because of speed, strip steals and double tram steals are occurring at the right moments without feeling cheated. Throwing a lob with Thomas is drastically more successful than with Smart and Bradley. I only try in wide open situations and even when they miss and the pass is off target, i'm content with it. Thomas can make them even in traffic.
Missed dunks: this was a huge gripe of mine. You'd get an opportunity to score and dunk and the dunk would miss...not due to contact but be recorded as a block...when it CLEARLY was not a block. Felt like 2K didn't want you to score to keep the game close...THIS IS NO LONGER HAPPENING which is great! It happened ONCE and i was okay with it because there actually was a crowd and it wasn't an elite dunker.
Miscellaneous: Charges are occurring correctly by the right people. Loose ball fouls happen when they should. The defensive schemes seem to be working now. I swear i NEVER saw the CPU "Tag on the roll" during a pick and roll before i adjusted the speed. Even going zone works and "slows down an offense" because (again i think due to speed) they have to PASS to find a good shot opposed to every 3 dropping. Guys are using the majority of the shot clock to get the best possible shot instead of running and gunning with every team. The appropriate teams that actually run and gun are doing so and the teams that don't and getting lots of turnovers...as they should lol.
Shooting on 40 and 3s on 39 with the adjusted speed in addition to everything else you've done is perfect. this is the happiest i've been with the game and i'm losing lol. Keep up the good work...sorry for the long write lol.
