Yeah it's a bit confusing. It means to start on default all star and make changes from there, which will change it from "all star" to "custom."

My question is why is it important where to start. Sliders determine difficulty. What’s the difference whether I start on all star or hall of fame before changing?

Nothing. You'll just have a sore thumb pressing your joystick's button longer or shorter to adjust sliders, respectively.

In previous years the starting difficulty level has determined ACE's ability to act. That's why in 2k18 most sliders started at Superstar, because only then you would get most out of ACE.

Apparently they said that in 2k19 ACE is in full effect no matter what difficulty level you chose.

              Re: Becoming 2k20

I basically see three issues with these sliders.
              1. CPU % too high, especially under the basket. Every shot the CPU puts up from under the basket or from close range is 2pt, even on heavily contested shots. I however can't hit anything from close range. I know that close range shots are not guaranteed in basketball, but I shouldn't miss everything on lightly contested shots with star players who have premium post moves. The shots I get are mostly lightly contested but my players can't make them. And on the other hand, the CPU makes everything from close range.
              2. I can't break free from the CPU on fastbreaks. Even guys like DeRozan frequently get chased down by the CPU's center. Shouldn't happen that often IMO.
              3. I see mostly isolation plays from the CPU. They usually start with a pick and roll and if that pick does not work they go into isolation where they over-dribble or bully me to the basket. I frequently see centers doing sizeup moves and crossovers at the freethrow line. This might be related to the tendencies? Are you using the default 2k roster?

At the end of the game I usually have a shooting % of 28-32%, the CPU's at 55-68%. I tried to raise my shooting sliders 2-4 points and lowered the CPU sliders to 42. I do see an improvement on mid range an 3pt shots, but there's still an issue with close range shots. Are these maybe more affected by the layup or inside contact sliders?

I've only played one game which isn't a lot to test these on but I agree with the CPU making everything close to the rim while its the opposite for USER players. I will look to make some minor adjustments.

It's a challenging slider set which I like so I'll give myself more time to get better at the game also because it could just be the fact that I use the buttons to shoot as opposed to the stick.

These are the kind of games I'm getting..maybe if they r scoring in the paint with the new set...try to close out the paint and play some in the paint defense...the CPU usually get 50 percent close shots and 66 to 75 percent under the basket depend on the team I play against...IMG_20181021_093638.jpeg

Should be noted that @Da_Czar acknowledged this:

"Yo @ShadyMikeGaming you were right about the sliders being reversed. That has been fixed. Thank you."
