Haven't tested them myself yet but I definitely love how in depth he is with his explanations and analysis. Will be trying them out later.

My issue with him is that while I appreciate the effort that he's putting in it's hard to follow... Why must I go through a bunch of videos spread out through months to get his sliders? Plus some of it is obsolete in general... Like the shot contest strength has been fixed for a while... His ideas are solid but I don't have the time to parse through videos for what amounts to an incomplete slider set

I had pretty much given up playing against the CPU in this game until I came across this guy's channel. His sliders make the game feel like a completely different game, it's so much more realistic and fun to play. I've had some really good games since I've started using and even got blown out by the Sixers as the Pistons but didn't care cause it didn't feel like the CPU were cheesing, then had 2 really fun games against the Celtics which I just about won, Blake putting up 40 in one of them.
Couldn't recommend these sliders highly enough

if you want to breeze through victory in 2k, then you need to play on the rookie level.
2k basketball has become an unforgiving game. 2k's AI is like skynet and it evolves on a yearly basis.

again, Ive said it in other threads, 2k needs to bring back the casuual, sim, default and arcade settings.

if they dont have designated settings for certain skills they will alienate and lose potential consumers.

Im a 2k fan boy, and even I admit that the past several versions has been extremely frustrating.

I also think part of the problem is that the AI controlled teams set up their offense play prior to when the ball is inbounded, and if the defense isnt properly set to counter, the Ai will exploit it in nano seconds.

maybe users should tweak each coaches run plays tendencies.

I completely empathize with the OP as I am experiencing exactly the same things. I just don’t bother saying anything as I don’t want to deal with the “get gud “ crowd.

The reality is I completely recognize how great this game is and can only imagine how awesome it must be if you are a hardcore basketball nut. I’m an above average fan but to me it’s a video game and above all I want to have fun and take a break from my life and relax.

The thing for me is I don’t want to have to be Greg Popovitch to enjoy a video game. I have no desire to change settings for 5 minutes before every game and micromanage everything in timeouts. But like you I appreciate the other side of the coin and completely understand others that do want to do that stuff.

You nailed it on the head when you said that the game needs options for others because I am for sure alienated with how intense and difficult this game is and if it’s going to induce so much stress I’m going to have to pass on it in the future.

The game has SOOOOOO many different options for gameplay and ways to make the game fit YOU. I mean 3 gameplay options with 4 difficulty settings. thats 12 different possibilities of gameplay just with 2 settings. then they have 100 sliders. like their endless possibility to make this game the way you want it to be. if you cant find something then 2k might not be for you my friend

So where exactly are the options for sim, arcade, you forget the third option? I can’t find them anywhere?

Totally agree with u; I played for real basketball and can play video games. This year the CPU is kicking my blank, and I’m cheating with the cap to have an advantage. I’ve tried multiple sliders I don’t know what to do now....

I've started playing 2K after playing a bit of NBA Live and I completely suck. Live 19 was great for an older, casual gamer like me that doesn't have good stick skills and just likes to press pass and shoot and let the animations do their thing.

Unfortunately in 2K, regardless of sliders I am getting my passes stolen all the time, I can't shoot at all even with player ratings and not shot timing, I can't trigger any cool dunk or layup animations, I just have guys jump onto the defender and throw up off balanced shots and miss time and time again.

This game is awesome but the gameplay for a casual and older gamer is stressful. I just want something that is simple, I don't mind a challenge but man the complexity is intense. I'm not a D1 basketball coach who knows how to adjust and draw up plays, I know how to iso, how to run a pick and roll and *** around until some dude catches it behind the three point line and looks kind of set and kind of open and I take the shot.

Anyways, those sliders listed above I might check out. Hope they are good for the casual guys like me.

I agree this game is pretty ridiculous. close games until the CPU hits the 3rd quarter and hit every shot. i have not been able to drive past a defender

Is MyLeague broken? Should I wait for 2k20? I spent so many hours to tweak my sliders but every game is different and not realistic anymore. When I think I have found good sliders the game gets awful. I know players don't play at the same level in each game but the game feels completely different.

Game 1: 50% FG
Game 2: 65% FG...why?
Game 3: 48%
Game 4: 40% FG...

and I always played with the same skill. tweaking sliders is impossible...as each game has other results. I don't want to play 10 full-length games for sliders.

I even tweaked tendencies to great results but then after 1-2 games the CPU does something completely different.


PS Porzingis is OP in this game. Can't get him to realistic FG% unless all other players don't make anything.

I love this game! Not...used Popboy's sliders and strategies...and even raised user FG sliders (all of them) to 49...still could not hit anything...with real FG%.

Sometimes the CPU played awful defense and I could just blow by with defenders...but only about 5 times, then everyone was slow and the CPU didn't have any gaps.

What I completely don't understand is strategies...ACE should be turned off but how am I supposed to adjust? I randomly switch man to man, zone, half court press, crash offensive board, run in ..., play physicial D, play conservative...shrink the floor, stay home...whatever...I use them all ... never get many steals UNLESS I the CPU defenders get them. Onball D is so difficult...never get steals.
