***However, I am using @youALREADYknow settings now because I believe they are better for realism.Comment

In that particular game, with stats I posted a photo attachment of, I used these special settings below for my own personal experience so it's not going to be the same experience as just plugging sliders in:
- Zone Usage: (roster edit) 100 for both teams as explained in another thread (might not be everyone's cup of tea, but mine personally because teams play more like modern nba defense than 90s style)
- @mcdowell31 (roster edit) suggestion of decreasing Shot IQ by -20 for all players
- Game Speed: 65/Superstar/Play Now/Offline/User vs CPU/12 min qtrs/my own controller settings
- NO SHOT METER
What slider would I tweak to fix that?... But hey VC sale!!Comment

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
After reading your comment again, it seems as though "everybody else" are choosing to preserve their stamina. Now, in regards to that I'm not so sure what to tweak...and it could be something other than movement sliders.
In regards to defenders, it could very well be down to the movement sliders. Also, not sure...
What I do know is that "without ball" sliders are generally stronger and more powerful than "with ball" sliders on this game, hence why they are set lower in this case. That's where you'd have to be careful with when increasing.Comment

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
I had one great game (double overtime win vs. Memphis) with Indiana, but the next game I played against Milwaukee, sheesh. Every player on the court was in quicksand, my guys were hitting invisible walls (i even restarted the game because it felt buggy). Except for Giannis. He would get possession and speed burst through everyone for a dunk. It reminded me of Tecmo Super Bowl when the game kicked in the speed burst mode in the playoffs. There's just too many issues with this game.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
Guys, please help us by posting your sliders/setting for movement. There are more than one version of sets posted here in this thread. We can't help if you don't disclose the movement sliders, and speed/acceleration attribute sliders you are using. You can copy the format from one of our posts to make it easier. Input your numbers and post it.
Also, most of us are using Game Speed of 65 in this thread. So, if you are using another game speed, we can't help.
Give us more insight. And if you have a better solution to the problem, help us on this forum.
Otherwise, thanks for posting your thoughts! [emoji108] [emoji817]

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
For those who want a faster pace and have a lot of complaints try this...[emoji111]
Game Speed: 65
Acceleration: 6
Speed: 1
Speed with Ball Max: 69
Speed with Ball Min: 36
Acceleration with Ball Max: 100
Acceleration with Ball Min: 47
Speed without Ball Max: 60
Speed without Ball Min: 44
Acceleration without Ball Max: 100
Acceleration without Ball Min: 27
-OR-
...if not satisfied with offball movement try this...
Game Speed: 65
Acceleration: 6
Speed: 1
Speed with Ball Max: 70
Speed with Ball Min: 36
Acceleration with Ball Max: 100
Acceleration with Ball Min: 47
Speed without Ball Max: 60
Speed without Ball Min: 44
Acceleration without Ball Max: 100
Acceleration without Ball Min: 70
For the invisible wall problem, there is no cure but try this...
Body-Up Sensitivity: 10
On-Ball Defense: 7
If that is too easy then you know how to increase it to your liking.
Otherwise, I am still personally rolling with @youALREADYknow set regarding speed/acceleration/movementLast edited by devroyce; 08-11-2019, 10:24 AM.Comment

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
Acceleration is the defender’s ability to respond and get in position against the ball handler. Try bumping it from 6 to 15/20/25 until you see the defender ride the hip in transition. I like to see separation in transition and hip riding drives in half court sets.Comment

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
Raise the Acceleration attribute slider and leave the movement w/Ball and w/o Ball sliders alone.

Thanks it def seems to be the acceleration slider. Bumped it up to 15 and speed to 6 just because I usually play faster.
@devroyce thanks bro I put the speed without ball to 20 with the change in acceleration and it did make the defenders move better... But hey VC sale!!Comment

Re: Speed Without Ball Description Is Wrong In 2K19
I didn't get a chance to read the whole thread, but the description is not wrong. It says max rating and min rating which is exactly what it acts like. It's what we software engineers call a clamp.
So, say you set the max setting slider for Speed to 75. That means that any player with a Speed rating above 75 will all act as though their rating is 75. Same on the other side, if the min setting is set to 30, then all players at 30 or below for Speed will act as though their speed is set to 30.
I tested this out exhaustively in 2k18 and 2k19, running three quarter sprints with turbo in practice trying out different slider settings until finding a decent set. It turns out setting the min speed to around 60, and the max all the way up to 100 was the closest choice, and it actually fixed a lot of pacing and fastbreaking issues I was seeing in CPU-CPU matchups. Of course, it meant that all the slower centers in the league were running at the same speed, but that was a fair trade-off for seeing more realistic quicker player movement. There's no way to make the speed more perfect until they finally add a proper Speed With Ball slider just like they have for Speed, but this adjustment certainly helps.NBA 2K18 ratings for several seasons generated from advanced analytics using the SportsCrunch system:
