Schnaidt1's 2k20 MyLeague and Gameplay Sliders
Played a few games with these. Enjoyed them for the most part, but I feel like I am getting “Midwayed” like the old NFL Blitz games. When I get a lead, nonsense starts happening. An open cutter has to jump for a pass or will stumble until the defender rotates over. Players will go into the defender and draw a contested shot even tho they are head and shoulders by them. CPU starts nailing threes at will because AI players just run away from shooters for no reason. Even so much as watching the player I’m controlling suddenly get stuck not moving and allowing a player to come open who makes the shot. It really kills the realism aspect of things and becomes game breaking. It feels like ratings and control no longer matter. You are purely at the mercy of the game.
Adding to this a day later: I’ve officially put this game away. THREE straight games I opened up a 20 point lead. The CPU came roaring back in every single one. I would continue to get the same open shots, but they would stop going in. My defenders suddenly get lost. The contested shot feedback shows the complete opposite of what’s happened. It’s just awful. There is clearly code in the game designed to keep the score close.Last edited by xCoachDx; 05-01-2020, 04:54 PM.Comment

First and foremost, Thanks for the slider set Schnaidt. Very solid set and very fun to play with, and has definitely left me with some just butter smooth gameplay and animations to match what's happening on the court.
I have to agree with the post above, and I don't think this is an issue sliders can correct. No matter what slider set I test, the same thing happens, and it just paralyzing because you know there is nothing you can do about it. What sucks is gameplay can feel smooth and responsive, then just drops off, and you know it's coming. I thought it was some built in coding for momentum shifts, but this tends to happen at all variations of gameplay.Comment

Re: Schnaidt1's 2k20 MyLeague and Gameplay Sliders
Playing a lot with these sliders lately, really liking most parts of this set.
I only have 1 issues and looking for advice on how to resolve.
It's getting a little easy to win. Most stats look pretty solid, but I think I've pinpointed where the discrepancy is: Shots at the rim.
Some of the spots where I feel it could be tougher:
- Transition - Lots of easy layups in transition
- Pick n Roll - I get a lot of easy layups/dunks there
- What sliders can I get to up the cpu's help defense in the post? I'm year 3 with the Pelicans, and Zion is pretty unstoppable. If I get a switch with Zion being guarded by a smaller guard and go tot he post with him, the CPU never doubles, and it's an easy 2 for Zion at the rim, but I feel like for realism, basically almost every time Zion posts on a small guard, there should be a double team coming ASAP
Looking at user vs cpu, % looks fine, as we both seem to shoot in the low 60s, which sounds right. The problem is the amount of shots. I usually shoot upwards of twice as many shots at the rim.
How do I reduce my shots at the rim? Obviously I can manually just stop shooting at the rim, but that doesn't feel realistic. Trying to figure out how the CPU's defense can be better to keep me away from the rim a bit more.Comment

I don't think that's too bad tbh because some teams do that irl cuz they know how good he is but depends on the matchup, tho teams irl usually give him a couple possessions before they do itComment

I like it alot but the only thing I would like more would be them timing it differently to try and catch me off guard.Comment

I will never understand why they chose to make this happen. It’s a game breaking for offline.
I’m thinking about going back and trying again tho and lowering the shooting sliders when the “run” begins. It’s generally easy to spot as the CPU starts running and moving in a significantly different manner. Curious to see if this stops the CPU from going bananas. If not, it’ll be gone for good.

Re: Schnaidt1's 2k20 MyLeague and Gameplay Sliders
Props to you Schnaidt on these Myleague settings. I have tested about 6 years worth of seasons and have seen pretty good results. A few negatives: I have found about 7 or so G-league players who had a large increase in their rating (high 70s or low 80s) in the 6 years I have simulated. Also, the 2k draft classes shooting is way too high and the rotations need to be fixed manually. If you're up for it, I would recommend controlling all 30 teams and fixing the rotations. I plan on downloading draft classes from 2K share that have been created. I believe there is about 10 years of these available.
Other than that, I haven't seen many faults. I have seen the CPU resigning their players at a decent clip, while also seeing players move to other teams. To me this creates excitement that makes the NBA free agency amazing. Also, the contracts I saw were usually pretty reasonable. After year 2, there was no player in free agency who was over 76. I am loving the regression/progression system that you have in place and have seen great results with this! Overall, I think you can definitely play a longer time with these settings. Yes-you do need to make a few tweaks by controlling 30 teams with setting their rotations, but I'm pretty excited to start everything up shortly. Thanks again for these!Comment

Hi Schnaidt, awesome sliders another year!!!
I have one question, i have noticed there are two types of injuries, one type does not let you use the player and the other you can use him but with less stats.
The problem is that cpu let an injured player out of the list in the two situations, do you know if it can be fixed? i think that last years if player was able to play cpu maybe let him in the bench or use him less minutes, but i don´t think it is realistic to let out of the list in any kind of injurie
i have thought that maybe it happens in the first games of the season (i have played only 5 games) but i am not sure
Sorry for my english!Comment

The d league player development is a issue from last year they did not fix.
Im not sure what you mean with a rotation issue after simming a few seasonsProps to you Schnaidt on these Myleague settings. Re: Schnaidt1's 2k20 MyLeague and Gameplay Sliders
Sometimes players will play even if injured. Its depending on the injury of course. Typically if its not a leg injury or a shooting hand injury, some dudes will tough it out.Hi Schnaidt, awesome sliders another year!!!
