I had a PS5 and a Xbox Series S, but the kids usually played the PS5 and Xbox was in the bedroom with the surround sound, so I purchased on the Xbox first. Well, after all about a week I ended up doubled dipping and got it on the PS5 for the same reason you are thinking about buying one haha. I just have to put on headphones since no surround sound, and push the kids off lol, but the community support is so much better on the PS5 for this game.

I got my new ps5 this afternoon!! nba 2k23 installing... i don't want to miss this game with all these amazing rosters on ps5...

If you don't mind me chiming in I can tell you what I did. I always get stuck between Pro and All Star. I liked the way I was playing on offense but the other team wasn't scoring enough so I bumped up their shot successes by like 4-5 each until they picked up the offense. Bumped up a few of the attribute sliders closer to 50 as well so they played a little tougher. Lots of trial and error with little tweaks until you get what plays best for you since we all play different. Armor always has the best base to start that with with his sets though.

I’m seeing the same issue and it’s tough to find a middle ground. Playing with the Celtics and the user offense feels great, but the AI just isn’t dangerous at all offensively. I’ve only dropped one game and that was down to Bill Laimbeer having just an insane offensive rebounding game that allowed the Pistons to top 100 points. Otherwise, no other team has topped 90 through 20 games and some have only scored in the 70s.

AI just doesn’t hit enough open jumpers, they almost never hit contested jumpers, and they frequently take too long in possession, passing up open shots to take bad ones. It’s like every AI team is coached by Doc Rivers with this slider set. Played the Nuggets the other day and held them to 76 points. Which tells me the CPU offense sliders needs a good bit of work.

This is 80’s and 90’s basketball.

Started a Jordan Era Portland Trail Blazers franchise with Clutch’s roster.

Opening night the Cav’s smoked me at home. We take on The Suns in a home back to back and we gotta be better!!!

We went ahead and signed SG Oscar Schmidt. Danny Ainge’s defense forced me to make that move!!! He was dreadful on that side of the floor. I can’t have him out there as long as I did last night.

We are off and running!

The young guys don't know about Oscar Schmidt. At one time he was (arguably) the GOAT when it came to international basketball.

Personally I used armors sliders as a base and would tweak stuff like computer shooting and that timing thing instead of 0 I’d put that on like 15 and I always notice when I turned up offensive awareness computer would get smarter. Some teams are too good lol Bulls I beat teams … when I play as the sonics I get a much better challenge.

Yeah you will find your sweet spot in no time just upping CPU shooting sliders a little and offense and defense awareness.

That Nuggets team was crazy. They scored an average of 123 points but gave up an average of 124 points. Kiki and English both got close to averaging 30 a game on the same team. Scoring was high around that time, that's why I bumped my settings up to 12 mintues. Most teams average in the 110's in the mid 80s until defense stepped up later.

This has always been the beauty of Armor's slider sets (regardless of the game/sport).

He creates amazing base slider sets, and individually we can then spend our time seasoning those sliders to our specific taste.
