So for general games across various gens, do you recommend the original sliders or use them with the Jordan Era edits?

Great job and the game is great. Still don't know if I have updated rosters or anything (can't find a way to check ala FIFA or Madden) but it's a blast and I'm glad I bought it on a whim

Hey Armor, amazing work. Not sure if this has been raised before but it might be worthwhile doing some testing on the simulation sliders once you start MyNBA.

I tried dropping the team pace slider from 50 to 40 and it did nothing; so I dropped the possessions slider from 50 to 40. I also dropped the simulation success inside/medium/etc to 47 like your human sliders and it was giving me more appropriate simulated stats for that era (ie slow paced, scores often under 100, etc)

But in reality, I don’t know what I’m doing so was wondering if you’re looking at those simulation sliders too?

PS: After I dropped the possession to 40 I also bumped the simulated minutes up to 12 not sure if that did much.

I think the simming is fine for the most part. There's a common misconception that the 80s were a low scoring time. Check out basketball references page. The late 90s were low scoring, but the 80s were some of the higher scoring stretch of years in modern NBA. Every year from 83-89 saw the league a average between 107-110 points per game. Just something to think about. There weren't many games played under 100 in the 80s. A lot of times good paced teams wouldn't play under 110-115 a game.

I have a thread created with some good sliders under simulation tab for both the 80s and 90s era that gives very close to real life team stats for those years. Specifically 83-84, and 91-92 season.

First, Thanks Armor for the great work here. The game plays really nice. Not too hard but still feels like the Real thing.

Question: should we actually be able to draft manually in the eras? I used this settings from 1983-1984 and simulated the year with Houston Rockets and during the offseason only actions/events where ”historic changes” and ”proceed to next season”.

My Team ended up drafting Barkley with the 3rd overall pick.

Any idea What setting is wrong? The cpu automation under ”Team settings” are all set as off.

After you begin whatever team you are actually going to control you need to go into the settings and turn off all the automation settings for those things you mentioned.

Read the OP carefully.

This is if you are doing a all team control MyEra.

If you are not selecting every team then do not turn on the off season automation options on the front end setup screen when you are initially setting everything up.

QN we are getting amazing scored with 11 minute quarters. Check out my last few streams.

10 minutes is too low but for my play style and pace 11 mins is on point.

For the 80’s I am going to suggest 11 or 12 minutes depending on your pace and style. Because yes in the 80’s scoring was higher than the 90’s.

Also everyone. There is an incredibly annoying bug.

Controller settings do not stick. Every time you start up your game they reset (unless you put your console in standby mode with the game still on).

So make sure every time you fire up your game you set up your controller settings to the OP and real fg/ft %

It is incredible they have not hot fixed this yet. It is widely reported.
