How's everyone still feeling about this game?



I always trust Armor's set up, but after all these patches, I can't get the game to "feel" like it did when it 1st came out.



so much to like about the classic era idea, but gosh....I need to have that 1st day feeling again.

Was that both for user and cpu? What percentage are your opponents generally shooting from the field?

Finding it much harder to score after the last patch. Worrisome as I'm playing game 7 in the ECF against the 76ers tonight lol

Using these sliders with MJWizards 83-84 rosters…
Only play cpu vs cpu. Any suggestions to get more shots per game? Seems like most possession’s go down to 5 seconds before shooting. Also any way to get better shot distribution? Stars typically taking 30-40 shots per game.

That is a player tendency and team playbook thing….and that is not my expertise.

The sliders are playing well for me. I am enjoying the game warts and all.

I would delve deeper into team playbooks and coaching tendencies when it comes to CPU vs CPU which I do not play.

The last 2 games the CPU has shot 30% from the floor. Just destroyed them. Did the newest patch mess it up again?

I believe they’ve been tested on 80s and 90s era mode but not 2000(Kobe).

I have played a few games since the switch to HOF level in the Kobe era and they seem solid as heck for that Era as well!

Armor & Swords “Average Joe” NBA2K23 Pro Level “Era Mode” Sliders Real FG%/FT%

Ok….we are closing in on a major update for out HOF “Average Joe” slider set.

I am really loving the variety and the CPU is playing well. Weak teams are truly weak. And strong teams are tough as nails.

Check out my Bird/Magic Era Lakers stream vs the Utah Jazz. That game has our latest updates and I am continuing the testing and will have this update out by this weekend.


I am honestly having the best time I have ever had with this series. 2K11 was the last one I felt this strongly about.

I will be sticking with 2K23 for years folks and will continue to update as needed this set. I feel the gameplay patches are probably done. Which is a great thing.

The game is amazing. Franchise mode is so deep!!!! This Lakers franchise is going to be my long termer.

I am actually letting whatever happens….happens. I am not looking to follow history but actually make new history. Wherever Jordan ends up….so be it. Hakeem and Charles….so be it!

I find that far more fascinating.

I also have a single season Classic Team play through going with the 96/97 Heat. Half season in fact (58 game season) and will mix that up after we finish that one. This allows me to have fun with true multi era historical teams and use My Era for remaking history!

We are also halfway thru our Jordan Era Blazers Year 1. Also a fun franchise.


The options are limitless!!! 2K23 along with MLB 20 are the GOATs of console sports gaming!!!

Fingers crossed for Madden 24 which I will be purchasing and making sliders for as well.

Hey Armor, grabbed 2K23 for free from PS Plus, and as usual it leaves me wishing I was a bigger NBA fan and knew the sport better. Was a nice surprise to see you over here with a set. The game has hit another level of gorgeous graphically, an insanely deep franchise mode as always, and the Era’s mode is done so well with so much detail. Era’s mode in the Show or Madden would be awesome.

It’s wild how far behind 2K has left every other sports title. What are these other developers doing every cycle?

Dowie.....check out the Lakers/Jazz game......now keep in mind there are going to be blowouts.....it happens. But then you will get great games like this one.



I feel strongly were cracked the code and will be enjoying a long term Bird/Magic My Era franchise.
