In my college hoops dynasty there was a SG who I had scouted since he was a freshman in high school. The guy made the 2K Elite camp All-Star game as a freshman, and was the number one recruit in his class. He came in and led his team to the final four as a freshman, and as a sophomore took them to the national championship. He left after his sophomore year rated 90 overall, with A potential. He averaged 23 ppg, 5 rebounds per game, and 7.5 assists per game, and won the player of the year award..
After this guy had passed over my school in recruiting, and beat me a few times I was excited to get him into my NBA 2K6 association, since players who are rated as highly as he was (as a sophomore) are rare. But I get to the draft he's only a C overall and is projected to go undrafted. I draft him in the top 5 despite this, expecting him to be rated highly, and he doesn't.
Is there any continuity between what players are rated as in the college game, and what they end up rated as in the draft class? Or is it just random?
