I think they may be doing it so that they dont have to have 2 seperate release dates like last years game did for the ps3 and 360. Because it actually costs money to promote a product once, but you normally get that money back in sales, but when paying for another production campaign for the exact same game and you pay the same price as you did the for the first promotion but this time around it doesnt sell as many units, then your losing money. So if this is true then I think they want one release date so that the PS3 production can catch up with the 360. So if it happens this year it should be on track to come out in october for years to come. Besides we dont wanna end up like EA

example:EA didnt have the time or money to release Nba Live 07 on PS3 because

CAUSE: Sales didnt reach expectations for 360 version to cover the cost of promotion and labor for the PS3 version so it was shelved once they saw that no one liked the game.
EFFECT: mid May/ June Live 08 is pumping out all kind of promotions and the PS3 and 360 version are slated to be released on the same date.

Normally I'd agree. However, they have other games on there with their correct release dates...LIVE 08 etc.

Also, there's been no media at all so far + nothing at E3.

None of the producers have been around here for ages either.

Maybe they've ran into some problems?

I know for a fact they're introducing a new graphics engine...maybe it's taken longer than they thought?

The producers have been around. I saw Beluba a week or so ago and talked to Pem a couple weeks ago. I REALLY doubt that they would wait until January to release the game. Also, the NBA would be furious. They want their games released before the season.

I would be willing to. The basketball reviews were the only ones that i loved doing and I think it showed by the quality of those reviews compared to the other ones I did. With that said, OS has some great talent like Sully and Clay that could do a great job on a basketball review.

I'd happily wait til January if it was going to be the best hoops game in history. In january we'd get full rosters ... Since i don't have a router I can't update my shiz online anyway ... Many can't.

But if they release the game then with a new graphics engine, improved post play, passing and an overall realism factor upgrade ... I can dig it.
