How long have you been playing with the Wizards? I ask because, I used them in 82 game season mode twice and I have Gilbert's release down pat.

You can try practice mode to get comfortable with the 'feeling' of his release and maybe that will help you in game situations. I have his release down mainly because that's the only team I used when playing NBA2K7 season mode.

Once you get his release down though, you will know it! Gilbert has crazy range in this game just like in IRL and if he is on, he can hit from all over.

BTW, I take it that you are referring to the (360) version.

When I play with him he is very streaky sometimes he goes 0-7 then hits 5 straight I try to shoot when he is starts to come down on his jumper.

I've never...EVER had an issue shooting with Gilbert. He lights it up every time when I use the Wizards

I swear people sometimes feel they need to be shooting 55+% with some folks for them to "understand" the person's shot.

Yea I get what you mean, I mean it's not like a game should automatically let you shoot for that 60% from the 3pt line every time you wanna play. But cdubdiggity probably feels that his shots aren't falling at all so he is asking what the release point is for Gil, unfortunately no one here has told him the answer YET, they are just talking about how great they can be with him haha. And no I don't have the answer because I've never played with the Wiz.

Oh here we go again haha I bet someone will bring this up: "Hey dude, change the sliders for the shots so you can make them and put the difficulty on Rookie"

I mean it is ALL about feeling and usually that feeling is not easy to explain. Either you can do it or you cant.......

trying to make a shot from 13-17 ft with Yao is pretty damn tough too sometimes. he was a dead eye shooter from there pretty much his whole career.

I just started using the Wizards...I can shoot with Butler...but sometimes people can give you tips...like I seen a thread that says release a tad early...But I figured it out....using the shot stick helps alot...I think you HAVE to use the shot stick when shootin wit Arenas...and im sayin I go like 5-23 wit Habachi EVERY time I try to play with him...I couldnt even hit in practice

I had no idea you were not using the shot stick at first. I haven't used the buttons for shooting since 2k6. You get a MUCH better "feeling" for each player's release when using the shot stick, as you have obviously found out.
