I agree that the player models look great this year. The extra shine doesn't really bother me because I don't play the game that zoomed in anyway.

Just about everything looks awesome - except for one thing... Why the hell is everything so shiny again? I don't get why so many games are doing this bloom thing, or whatever it's called.

Look at the LeBron pictures. The real-life ones are more dull, and things aren't blurring (not the background that's put in on purpose, but the foreground players). The game pictures are so damn shinny, and colors just seem to blur - especially the white. It's like players having a glowing ring around them.

Why do they feel the need to do this?

Every time I look at how good those screens are, and then realize how good 2k's game-play is, I get more and more anxious for Oct. 2

I just hope they remove the shine or something from the players before release because it just looks so ridiculous.

that's what sucks about screen shots... what looks ridiculous up close on a vid or in a screen is NOT always indicative of how it will look at a default view distance or in motion on your HDTV.

Man, 2K8 looks so damn good! And I thought 2K7 looked damn amazing but this one just blows it right out. October can't come fast enough....

Now the only thing left that I can think of graphically is, when are they gonna do realistic hair and not pasted-on hair? Something for 2K9 I guess.

it does look pretty good...a good test would be if they somehow released just face pics and you had to guess who the player was....i'm sure we would get the obvious one's but that first TMac shot would have alot of us on here like :

Haha I hate to be a little whiny but I agree 100%. They look off. I can wait though for sure
