XBOX 360 vs. PS3 (strictly in terms of NBA 2K8)

    Trust me guys,

I traded in my PS3 version for the 360 version.

    NOT EVEN A CLOSE COMPARISON.

Graphics are better as the frame rate refreshes MUCH quicker.
Gameplay is SMOOTHER, again, because there is a faster frame rate on the 360.

I was getting my *** HANDED to me, even on PRO on the PS3. As soon as I switched over to 360, it was much easier, the game is more enjoyable, everything loads 10 times quicker etc.

Honestly, this is not a flame of the PS3 by any means.

But, I urge those of you who are lucky enough to have both systems to get the 360 version.

Because the PS3 version is just a port of the 360 one it's a LOT less satisfying.

read the post, bro. he's referring to the framerate which made it tough for HIM to play on pro...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

        Haha, that's cute.

No actually, I read reviews all over the web that said that the gameplay, graphics and framerate were better on the 360. Having a 360, I downloaded the demo and realised that this was in fact true, and I ended up trading it.

I'm glad that the game is fine for you. It wasn't for me (which became even more blatent when I played the other version).

For other people who have both systems, I suggest that they download the 2K8 demo and try it for the 360.

Whaaaazuuuuup is right in seeing what I was saying.

Well on 360 I can't get through a damn game without getting a "cannot read disk" error. So I don't know how much better the 360 is.

            watch this

There is no difference. It is all in your head. You read in reviews that it was smoother, so your mind thinks that it is going to be smoother, and so it is. In reality, they are the same.

I currently have the ps3 version and there are times when the frame rate does dip and it does not stay at a consistent frame rate. I guess I just have to rent the 360 version to judge for myself if this problem is on the 360 version as well.

Well, yeah. No game is going to play at a constant frame rate. There are going to be lows, and there are going to be highs. The FPS is not locked at 60, but capped at 60. FPS will have it's lows on both systems.

interesting enough i have not had any slowdown or frame rate dips, but in 2K7 i had framerate dips when i played in some arenas like San Antonio's and Staples Center in LA

In 2k7 for the PS2, I had lots of slowdowns in Boston, Charlotte, and Orlando, especially when the ball was inbounded under the hoop.

What is wrong with you guys? Y'all must be training yourselves to think that there is a difference between the PS3 and 360 versions. I have played both EXTENSIVELY and the only difference I notice is the online play but that's a very minor difference(like 59 fps difference). GTFOH!!

A lot of "it's all in your head" comments. Haha, ok...

Well, on the 2K camera, when the camera spins back after a rebound, there is NO comparison on how quick the XBOX reacts as opposed to the PS3.

I'm not a XBOX or PS fanboy. I don't really care either way. All I care about is gameplay.

The framerate issues are real. They are fact. If you don't want to believe me, fine. That wasn't the intention of this thread.

For anyone with an open mind, just take this as a consideration of one man's experiences after having played both games.
