2k3 player lock

There have probably been threads about this before, but I didn't start doing this until recently. Mainly because I didn't know about it and read it last week.

Anyhow, I love this feature. It makes the game much more interesting. Running plays is a challenge now, since you have to know where to be. The games are a lot closer too. I used to blow away some teams, but now, they are very close. I'm having a great time with it.

I play with the Lakers, and I lock onto Kobe when he's in the game, and Shaq or George or Fisher, when he's out. I played a game against the 76er's last night, and the game went down to the wire. AI went off and had 46 points and 4 steals. Too bad he needed 43 shots for it. Kobe and Shaq went off too. Here was Shaq's line 38 pts, 4 assists, 16 boards, 1 steal, 3 blocks. Pretty impressive right? Now here's Kobe's 35 pts, 10 assists, 14 boards, 5 steals, 5 blocks. I made that kid work really hard. Shooting shots from all over the floor. He went to the line 12 times. I had a damn good time playing. None of the other Laker players had more than 10 points. In fact, I think only Fisher had more than 2, he had like 8 or something. The rest of the 76ers did their part, including Eric Snow. Final score Lakers 98, 76ers 95. Very close game. One of the closest I've ever had. I'm gonna keep playing like this. Fun stuff.

I just try to run the offensive sets that I think they are playing. He doesn't pass to me all the time, which is fine, since Kobe doesn't touch it every time down the floor. Either that, or I try to get in a position where it looks like I can score.

Do your cpu players shoot on their own or do you have to hit the shoot button? How do you lock players?

Ya, the CPU players shoot on their own. They pass, bring the ball up, pretty much do everything on their own. You just control one player.

To lock, just go under the game play options, and choose automatic pass to off, or something like that.

Im gonna give this a try. Lock onto MJ in my Wizards franchise and use Stack or Kwame when Jordan is resting.
