DC, the NBA is sort of like the mafia, only legal (unless you ask a certain disgraced referee). D Stern is a lawyer by trade, and he understands that image is almost as important as the game itself. So you better believe that if the NBA's Logo is on it, they will know the contents of whatever their name is on....

Just b/c the majority of NBA front office folks are middle age white guys, does not mean anything...

I'm surprised at you DC, I thought you were more knowledgeable than that. You better believe their on top of these games. Why do you think that neither game releases it's uniform codes until a certain time, NBA. I would not be surprised if Stern was on this forum right now. Just in case he is... SCREW YOU STERN, STOP HANDCUFFING DEVELOPERS.

Man Dynamic Attendance seems like one of those things that won't get rejected UNTIL someone mentions that it will be in the game.

I don't think that if Dynamic Attendance just HAPPENS to be in a game that the NBA would have an issue.

Now if they listed it as one of their features (which I think happened) then that gives the NBA reason to say, "No don't put that in our product"
        Concrete evidence/videos please

NBA 2K9 Release Day: NBA Attorneys call 2K, "How come it's come to our attention that you have a feature in your game that we already told you NOT to put into the game years ago? See ya in court. Oh , and by the way, I wouldn't start making any new logos that say 'NBA 2k10' just yet if I were you guys"

One day after NBA 2K9 releases: "EA signs exclusive license deal with the NBA"

Oh NOW it is pointless of putting it in there. I was more so speaking for the past years. They should have never even told anyone it was in the game to start with. Just should have put it in there

man something needs to be done for this dynamic attendance rule. lol I've always wanted that in this game. Imagine how much more alive the game would become and how much more you'd want to work on getting a losing team winning so you could have a full house.

Imagine there being 9,000 people watching out of 21,000 seats and the arena sounding so dead. Then during a full house game with a known superstar coming to arena or if your team goes on a 20 game winning streak to barely clinch the playoffs, imagine the place come alive!

Wouldn't this be awesome? I can only dream... lol

It makes no sense at all!

This is like the dumbest restriction on ANY liscensed game out there.

What's sad is....that VC had it in 2k2/2k3 and NBA2K6, then it has been removed ever sense. It was implemented very well in those versions also.

You do not see EVERY NBA arena sold out during regular season games, unless it's a big matchup. It added soo much to season mode in previous versions when they had dynamic attendance.

Spotty attendance if your team was not doing well, and sellouts when your team was good. Then they had the early leaving crowds during 4th qtr. blowouts and all playoff games had packed arenas.

It made you appreciate making the playoffs that much more, from a visual standpoint.

The past 2 years on NBA2K, an early season game between Memphis and the Twolves has the same attendance levels of the NBA Finals in the game.

Which definately should not be the case.

For the NBA to add some stupid restriction on attendance in a "videogame" is just ridiculous IMO.

Thats why they should put it in Association Mode. hopefully Stern can be less resricted of that Dynamic Attendance thing, whatever it is. just as you said edubbs it adds to the game itself, good teams such as Boston last season will mostly have a sold out, 20,000 people at their games while bad teams such as Boston two years ago have less people, 5-9,000 people.

i agree that we need Dynamic Attendance and it the crowd noise needs improvement but its good already!

I forgot about nba 2k3, I don't remember much about the crowd. I think they should bring that back, but also have it so that you see people physically walking out of arenas in the 4th quarter during a blowout and at the end of the game.

they should also add 24,000 separate people in the crowd so that each person is different and acts differently...lol

Also add banners, flags, signs, etc.

I gave reasons why 2K8 crowd is terrible. Madden = F. 2K8 = D. It might be the best of the 3 but it doesn't really have any GOOD competition. We aren't nitpicky, we just expect great
